Back when i was 18-19 and living on my own in Montana, i would work the second shift as a sand blaster for a steel fab company. I would clock out around midnight, and my supervisor would always stop by the liquor store after work to pick me up a four loko and drop me off at my studio apartment and we would get shitfaced while playing Black Ops and Halo Reach MP. Good times.
I also remember getting shitfaced and playing Halo, and also James Bond Goldeneye, usually 4 player split screen on a small tv compared to today. Very good times

The second day I was on campus in 1995 at University of Albany I bought a case of Old English 40 oz’s. After a few days the taste becomes very tolerable.😂
Anybody drinking malt liquor in the 90's probably remembers the 64 ounce bottles! Olde English and Mickey's definitely came in that size, probably a few others too. Schlitz 'Red Bull' and 'Blue Bull' 40's were also popular around that time.
Weirdly enough Olde makes a lot of different sizes/% of alcohol, and it's mostly due to different state laws, and even some city or county laws. Sucks that it's made in plastic now.
These were literally my teen beers and were my go to when I wanted to not spend money. All are great beers, very easy and smooth to drink. I loved steel reserve. But gave up alcohol for good over a year ago.. best decision I ever made in my life, I drink NA beers now every once in awhile. I drank ALL beers as I loved beer, all beer. If you thought any of these were bad .. you must drink Budlight or coors lite regularly.
On weekends I will grab a 24 oz can, put in the freezer. Grab a 12oz beer, drink that then grab the Colt 45 outta the freezer. Take a paper towel and put a little water on it then wrap it around the can. It keeps it nice and cold. Yeah, I got my malt liquor beer drinking down to a science hahaha

I love Colt 45 because Billy Dee Williams endorses it. Steel Reserve and Mickeys are super good. Olde English 800 is okay. And, Natty Daddy is the nastiest stuff I've ever put in my mouth and allowed into my digestive tract. The nicest thing I can say about it is that I'll sooner drink it before I drink graywater.

I drink 10% faxe (brewed in Denmark) and 8.1% Labatt Blue Dry (brewed in Canada) malt liquor beers. I also drink 8% Red Horse Lager (brewed in Philippines). Love them. And you cant't beat an ice cold Colt 45 (brewed in 'Murica). Malt liquor cannot be compared to other beer genres but within its genre, there are some so-so (and those are the best ones haha) choices, as mentioned.
I grew up with OE. I was a budwiser kid until the bums in Washington square park wisened me up. The brand was ruined when they started putting it in plastic bottles. I still have the final glass bottle from my local store unopened.
Haha!! I never suffered through too much of that stuff. Natty Ice or Keystone Ice probably was the ones I drank the most. The stores used to sell 24oz cans of Bud or Coors and that was a cheap way to get the job done most of the time, at least 4 of them.
I did this research one time i was stuck in a hotel outside ft brag for 2 weeks, the only store in walking distance was a gas station. I tried every kind of malt liquor they had. The results: colt 45, works every time

40 of Cobra glass bottle in the freezer for 20 minutes, yumm! Trick is to put all malt liquor in the freezer a bit to make em tolerable, drink fast and enjoy the buzz! 😵💫😅😅

As an alcoholic I started drinking at 16yrs old with Colt 45 I thought that tasted disgusting later my tolerance went up and needed something stronger so I moved to Naddy daddy I used to drink 15 tall cans in half the day.Then again tolerance went up so I moved to drinking Steel Reserve that beats the crap out of me and always gets me in trouble and has the worst taste ever but La Bat Blue is the grossest beer I ever tried 🤢🤮 I stopped drinking and it's been a year of my sobriety.If you want to stay a social drinker avoid getting a high tolerance and never drink alone.Your body, friends, family and wallet will thank you.

Mickeys was always a childhood favorite. We always had a 40's challenge.The most i drank was 5 of them. Had a friend who drank 2 1/2 on the way to a party, he was puking in the back seat and passed out the entire night lol
Schlitz bull ice 40's were my go to until they dissappeared iin my locality about 15 years ago. OE all the way now! So glad they are back in glass bottles now....taste much better!

I remember buying steel reserve because it says Union made right on the can. Boy was I disappointed. It’s as bad as he said it is. It’s literally worse than drinking a shot of hard liquor.

Very surprised he never mentioned the prominent skunk 'bouquet' of Mickey's, even commenting it was pleasant...haven't had one in years, but we used to get the 6 packs of the little " Wide Mouth' bottles for the same reason anyone does - best bang for your buck. Back when you're 16-22ish this kind of low rent, keep-in-the-bag while you slam thirst quencher (!) didn't leave you feeling like a wet sock the next day, haha.

My first job was at a Circle K and sold a lot of beer and malt liquor, excluding Schlitz lol.. no one wanted it and it got pulled. One surprising thing I noticed is that roaches/water bugs REALLY like beer, ESPECIALLY Steel Reserve 211. It's unreal lmao, drunk ass roaches.. truly a sight to see.
Those brews were lethal when I was younger. Old English 40 would have you either turning "Nerd" hitting on girls, or "Mike Tyson" on someone stepping on your Sneakers.😂
Try to find over there in the US, a Dutch beer, it's a blue bottle, and called ''Gulpener Chateau Neubourg'', which is one of the beste beers I've ever drinked. And when you open up the bottle, the smell is so fine, and reminds me of something. I wonder if you can recall its aroma. Greetings from the Netherlands!

I was 17 years old back then and me and my girlfriend which is my wife now always loved Mickey's and we always had a party at our apartment with friends and I never knew back then that it was Malt Liquor until later. We made a photo album with Mickey's labels. What we did was every beer we drank we would put in the album and write something underneath it just to see as we got drunk what we would write it was fun

Bud Ice is an ice beer. For ice beers, they slightly freeze the beer, remove the ice, and you get a more concentrated flavor and alcohol content.

Very surprised he never mentioned the prominent skunk 'bouquet' of Mickey's, even commenting it was pleasant...haven't had one in years, but we used to get the 6 packs of the little " Wide Mouth' bottles for the same reason anyone does - best bang for your buck. Back when you're 16-22ish this kind of low rent, keep-in-the-bag while you slam thirst quencher (!) didn't leave you feeling like a wet sock the next day, haha.

My first job was at a Circle K and sold a lot of beer and malt liquor, excluding Schlitz lol.. no one wanted it and it got pulled. One surprising thing I noticed is that roaches/water bugs REALLY like beer, ESPECIALLY Steel Reserve 211. It's unreal lmao, drunk ass roaches.. truly a sight to see.

Try to find over there in the US, a Dutch beer, it's a blue bottle, and called ''Gulpener Chateau Neubourg'', which is one of the beste beers I've ever drinked. And when you open up the bottle, the smell is so fine, and reminds me of something. I wonder if you can recall its aroma. Greetings from the Netherlands!

I was 17 years old back then and me and my girlfriend which is my wife now always loved Mickey's and we always had a party at our apartment with friends and I never knew back then that it was Malt Liquor until later. We made a photo album with Mickey's labels.
What we did was every beer we drank we would put in the album and write something underneath it just to see as we got drunk what we would write it was fun
