My Grandpa was a devout Baptist, no cards, no dancing, ect. He was always lecturing me about not drinking. One day I found a bottle of Everclear in the garage and I called him out on it, he told me he used it as an engine degreaser. lol
Its called fuel spirit. I always use drinking grade spirit vs denatured alcohol when doing stuff like making a shellac cut because I dont want to deal with adulterants put in the denatured stuff. I watched a guy doing a french polish on high end acoustic guitars and he pulled out a bottle of booze. I thought I was the only one. Then He mentioned some luthiers will go as far as distilling their own alcohol to get their solvent. So yeah its a solvent. It has alot of applications. Drinking IMO is not one of them. As far as engine cleaning I go straight gas and just sit there and huff the fumes because its a cheaper solvent at $3 a gallon. Prob. not smart but affordable. You thought you where going to waltz right into the comment box and do a lil fortnite zoomie dab on your poor old grandpa. But its obvious your grandpa touches the drink like you touch tools: IE you never touched a tool in your life.
The "best" part of the Everclear binge is finding out what you did under its spell......hilarity and hi jinx ensue. I am lucky that we did not have cellphones/film cameras when we were drinking Everclear.😜😉😀
It can also be used in cooking! Many years ago I hosted a dinner party. For dessert I made banana's foster parfaits in a large wine glass. As part of the presentation, I put a strawberry on top, a sugar cube in the strawberry, and then put just a little bit of Everclear on the sugar cube then lit the cube on fire. It ended up being fantastic, would definitely recommend looking into it for uses in the kitchen.
Guys at the liquor store think I’m a raging alcoholic but really this stuff is insanely versatile. Drinking, cleaning, preserving, recipes, all sorts of stuff you can do with it
@@lgscteamI've done the math and it's the cheapest alcohol you can buy. You have to measure the actual amount of alcohol you're getting. Whiskey and Vodka are like 60 percent water.
@lgscteam 1.75l of everclear costs $50. Cut it down to 40%, netting you 3.5l. That's the equivalent of paying $10 and some change for a fifth *and* there's no added sugar or anything. It's just a neutral spirit. It's literally the perfect mixer.
Back in college I played beer pong with straight Everclear... All I can remember is waking up in the ER with the DR saying I was in a coma for the last 12hours, and I had a 96% chance I wouldn't come out of it. I forget how many times I was over the alcohol limit. Needless to say I never drank that crap again.
A story to remember. Alcohol is one of the few mean poisons that by itself is not as toxic as what your body makes of it (acetaldehyde). This leads to the problem that you can ingest more than the lethal dose without noticing. Most food poisons will make you pass out as you reach lethal levels.
This would be believable if you didnt throw out that 96% bs😂😂 doctors dont tell your that even if they actually had an accurate way to measure that, thats movie shit
Methanol is the one that gets you blind. Everclear is just high on ethanol. Perfectly safe to drink straight. (Well, as "perfectly safe" as any alcohol intended for drinking).

We did shots of this during my college years. It started at 80 proof vodka/whiskey, turned into 151 Bacardi rum. And then we found Everclear. Not saying it was smart, but it became a tradition.
I've had one mixed drink in my life. It was made with everclear... by an extreme alcoholic. I was already drunk, and when he brought me a banana milkshake with everclear in it and insisted it was awesome, my drunk mind believed him. Actually, it was delicious, and i drank the whole thing, no upset stomach or throwing up, but it was definitely a stiff drink, i was absolutely hammered after drinking it.
@kevinreyimperial722 No, shortly after the party was busted up by the cops. The owner of the house received over 20 counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and the same number of kids were written tickets... I received no ticket even though I was 16 at the time, I even managed to keep my beer from being poured out. After the cops left, I finished my beer and walked home.
Man I was on a tab of acid and my buddy was like “the everclear, we must each take a shot straight” it ended up being two. Strangely I wasn’t very drunk, considering acid makes it hard for me to get drunk that’s reasonable but still. That taste man, never forget it
I had a 90% illegal black absinthe in school at around the age of 15 and drank some out of the bottle in class and same as you I can still feel the burn 10 years later lmao
My grandma is making "Nalewki" with 96% alcohol we call "Spirytus" in Poland. She stuffs a bunch of the green walnut peels and dried fruits into a bottle and tops it off with the alcohol. After it stands in the cellar for a couple months, it turns into a fantastic medicine for cold and breathing problems. When I was a kid she used to rub it on my chest and mix in a teaspoon of it onto my tea when I was sick. I don't know what's the science behind it, but it worked better than anything my dad could get at a pharmacy... Oh, and my grandpa makes "Nalewki" too, but for a bit different reasons ;)
My buddy’s mom slipped us a shot of spirytus or something was 96%. I thought I was just being a puss until the 300lb guy ran to the garbage to spit his shot out lol
@@pope88fbnah, you don't understand the science. When putting that little alkohol in tea its almost certainly evaporated by the time its cold enough that a child drinks it. It worked better than the pharmacy stuff because the herbs and a little of the fumes help clear up sinuses and well, placebo, because grandma did it.
I escaped alcohol addiction 8 years ago. I started drinking since my teenage. Got addicted to alcohol. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Not until my mom recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 8 years totally clean. Never thought I would be saying this about mushrooms.
YES very sure of Dr.alishrooms. I have the same experience with anxiety, depression, PTSD and addiction and Mushrooms definitely made a huge huge difference to why am clean today.
Yes he's Dr.alishrooms. Shrooms to me is a natrual healer. I know a guy who has used mushrooms in the same way and they have really helped him. mah dudes have safe trips all.
I wish they were readily available in my place. Microdosing was my next plan of care for my husband. He is 59 & has so many mental health issues plus probable CTE & a TBI that left him in a coma 8 days. It's too late now I had to get a TPO as he's 6'6 300+ pound homicidal maniac. He's constantly talking about killing someone. He's violent. Anyone reading this Familiar w/ BPD know if it is common for an obsession with violence.
I was horrifically depressed since childhood. It was relentless. I assumed it would ultimately end me somehow. About twelve years ago I randomly accepted the offer from a friend of a few doses of mushrooms. I did them two consecutive nights alone. First night was pretty mild. The second night? Wow. I saw my depression from every angle, realized much. Next day: depression totally gone. Never came back, never coming back. It's like it's a forest far away I can remember, and could probably find again with enough effort, but it has zero impact on anything in my life or mind. They honestly saved my life and improved it immensely. I never did them again, either. I wish there was a good, organized way to administer them to people who would benefit from them.
The story of the creation of the 94,5% evergreen reminded me of something in my country. Here in denmark, you can buy alcohol at 16, but you have to be 18 to buy alcohol 16,5% or over. There's these fruit flavored shots that used to be around 25% alcohol which are very popular among young people. So much so that a new version was created at exactly 16,4% alcohol so the younger people could legally buy it.
And people think vapes were the first drug market to target children. Alcohol will always be very dangerous but society loves it too much to get rid of
I have drank it straight. I was piss drunk already and managed three shots of it in one night. I projectile vomited on the third. It tastes like pain, nothing more. My face still involuntarily scrunches up in disgust when I think back on the memory. I also learned that night that if you leave the bottle open it will evaporate at room temperature.
I drank some 90% thing once. Some traditional italian drink. What I remeber about is that it felt like it didnt even reafh my stomach and it was evaporating inside my throat. Even on the tongue it felt more like gas fumes than a liquid

You can always just add soda water to the drink. Use a coffee filter or bag to strain it better if you want a less cloudy result.
“Please, please, please, do not drink Everclear straight” Too late. Somebody gave me two shots of the stuff at a graduation party and I was dying- on top of jell o shots, beer, and some other fun stuff.

Take your favorite hard candies, I suggest ones with chocolate and/or caramel put them in a jar cover with Everclear, seal it and let it sit for a year or two, the candy will disolve into a syrup thats still very strong and a great additive on ice-cream or to just get drunk fast on something that tastes great. Ive also done this with lemons and sugar or cherries and it was awesome both times.

All of these wild stories about drinking , throwing up, or passing out on Everclear and all I remember was Everclear poured into a half empty jug of juice being my Friday night goto mix in college. No problems.
In the Army we made a "Death Mix" using a fifth of everclear, a 20 oz bottle of Gatorade and a can of red bull. Those were some best nights I don't fully remember
I tried mixing Everclear with Hawaiian Punch. Never caught so much as a buzz. That was because as soon as it hit my stomach, it felt like Mike Tyson hit me right in the gut with a haymaker. Took the partying spirit right out of me. Haven't touched it since.
I once took 3 shots of Everclear in my junior year of college. Most of my friends had already turned 21 but I was still many months away from that point. They left some drinks in our dorm room. I found the Everclear, took 3 shots in succession and then quickly passed out. Hours later my friends found me unconscious, managed to wake me up and scolded me something harsh afterwards. I’ve never drank Everclear since
Since no one explained what an azeotrope is, I'll do it: An azeotrope basically means a mixture of two liquids that boils off at a specific concentration. For ethanol+water that is a 95.58% ethanol concentration. This means if you distill off ethanol out of a solution in water you only can only get 95.58% ethanol. If you want any higher concentration you either have to use something like toluene (which is toxic) to distill off the rest of the water in another azeotrope, or use some drying agents like Sodium Sulfate which is probably too much of a hassle to get in food grade and kind of time intensive if you want to get a product out fast.
@@lpjust6 the 95.58% figure quotes is by mass. By volume you can achieve about 97%. The azeotrope can also be moved by changing the pressure, allowing higher concentrations.
I had a friend a few years back during high school who’s choice of alcohol was straight everclear. He was always barefoot, always disappearing or laying on the floor lmao. I barely dipped my tongue into a cap of it once and I felt like SpongeBob when he tried Gary’s food. Idk how he did it all those times, but damn!
I had a couple of shots of medicine level-alcohol, which is 98% (196 proof). It's easy to drink, it is warming and cooling at the same time. The trick is not to breathe in and especially not through the nose when you drink it.
Azeotrope doesn’t make it undrinkable. An azeotrope is just 2 liquids that are similar enough in boiling point that it becomes impractical to separate any further. Any more alcohol and it would need to be dried chemically which makes anhydrous ethanol which is toxic. Tldr: azeotrope means too hard to separate and still be able to drink
"Pls do not drink Everclear directly..." Somewhere in a black room the Cold Ones bois casually take a shot on some undiluted 96% Beltion after they take a shot on a diluted one
In Poland we would add sugar instead of alcohol to extract juice from berries during these two days. Then we would add spirytus (95-96% abv) which is practically the same as Everclear and wait for at least few weeks. The final product should have around 50-70 % abv and we call it "nalewka".
In theory if you diluted everclear by a ratio of 1 liter everclear to 1.2 litres of water you should get 39.5% alcohol, about the same as standard vodka.
Going to college in western Ohio (where Everclear couldn’t be purchased), people would make runs over to Indiana to buy it. Some of our terrible decisions were making Jell-O shots out of Everclear (sometimes in small bowls instead of shot glasses). I also recall the last week when many had already completed our finals, someone still had the remaining portion of a handle (1.75L) of Everclear in their dorm room and their parents were coming to pick them up. Several of us were doing shots of Everclear to help dispose of the bottle. I remember doing 4 shots. Many of us were ‘napping’ mid afternoon.
I started drinking heavily after I got out of the army. Ever clear was always my go-to because it’s cost-effective. The man at the liquor store once finally asked “what do you mix with this?” I replied “Just ice and water” and you should’ve seen the look on his face then he said “that’s a good way to burn up your intestines!” He wasn’t wrong, I have extremely painful peptic ulcers now. So if you’re gonna consume it, be smart. Don’t be a jack ass like me and destroy your body!
I used it to make Advocaat. Eggs, sugar, (optionally condensed milk), and alcohol. Finished product should be 10-20% alcohol and pretty thick. You can drink it, but I mainly use it on ice cream and cakes,...

Eesti Piiritus, or Estonian rectified spirits still probably holds the stronges alcohol record. According to legend it was 98% pure, but most likely that was just thelimitation of the measuring tools used and it did not exceed 97.2% ABV.
Parts of the US you can get that 95% Polish spirit, parts of it you can't. It's readily available around where I live, though I live in a town where the school district offers official communications in Polish so that's kinda to be expected.
I remember drinking some straight EC in HS to show the sort of 'bad kids' I was tough in some regard. Cool thing about it was that there was no hangover. Drunk af one second and bam, on the way home, it suddenly wears off and everything is feeling normal again. Went home, said hi to my parents, hit the Playstation like nothing even happened.
That's exactly the thing with alcohol, it's not the alcohol ITSELF that gets you drunk, it's when plant sugars react with the alcohol that it makes you drunk. So that's not very surprising, but try mixing it with something really sugary and i promise you it'll be hard not to blackout.
I only drank that stuff one time…I always hated alcohol and wanted to find an alcohol that didn’t taste like absolute garbage, I kept hearing that everclear is odorless colorless and flavorless. Sounds great right?? Well what they don’t say is it has no added taste I’m guessing because it tasted like concentrated rubbing alcohols rage and hatred shoved into a bottle of fire!!!! It was at that point I realized alcohol just isint for me

If you make pies from scratch, then you need a couple bottles of this in your pantry like I have. Completely dissolve your salt in half the water called for in your dough recipe, replace the other half with Everclear, and then place the combined liquid in the freezer until ice cold. The alcohol prevents the liquid from becoming solid, the salt is entirely dissolved in liquid so it gets evenly distributed, the liquid is as cold as ice to depress gluten production in the dough, and the alcohol mostly evaporates during the bake -- especially when blind-baking. This gives you a dough that is pliable and workable before baking, but bakes up flakier and more tender due to less water interacting with the proteins in the dough.
I use Everclear to fortify my dessert honey mead. Brings the ABV of the mead from 15% to 21%, past the alcohol threshold where yeast can ferment the added sugar. Port is also made this way, but they use Brandy, which I think works great for wines but not so much for honey mead.
Everclear should be viewed as more of a tool than an ingredient, per se. It's meant for flavor extraction in the making of liqueurs, not as a base spirit unto itself.
Chemist here: An azeotrope is a solution (mixture) of two or more pure compounds (chemicals), in our case water and ethanol. In such a ratio that its composition can no longer be changed by simple distillation, because if you boil it, the vapors have the same composition as the liquid mixture you are trying to separate. The highest concentration of ethanol-water solution that can be achieved by normal distillation is 95.5% ethanol and 4.5% water. There are "tricks" to remove the remaining water, but basically it is quite difficult to get 100% pure ethanol as it pulls water out of the air as much as possible. There are technical ways to achieve at least 99.7% pure ethanol. But only with considerable technical effort.
@@superslash7254 yes because there is no such thing as actually 100% pure ethanol. You can only archive that within a sealed system without air (moisture) in it.
@@an0nim11 no, the dissolved sugars prevent it. However, it does evaporate very quickly to the point that taking a small shot is practically impossible because by the time you put it in your mouth half of it has already evaporated and the other half evaporates as soon as it touches your mouth due to body temperature.
When I click this and watched all of your other videos you posted so far I was ready to binge watch everything you had and then I realize that you’ve only posted 4 videos that are very high-quality I think you’re really gonna go places and I love your style
The bums in my town would buy the boot mickeys and soak them in bread and get fucked up. Their favourite spot was behind my old high school in a ditch called “Lysol Creek” lol
Chemist here: an azeotrope is a mixture of substances with a lower boiling point than either of its components on their own. With ethanol and water, this occurs around 95%. This means if you attempt to distill it, what you're boiling off is 95% alcohol and 5% water, therefore not changing the alcohol content, because this mixture has a lower boiling point than pure alcohol.
Once the state run liqour stores in Washington lost their monopoly. Everclear has been legal in Washington State. In the past the state run liqour stores refused to sell it. Now you can buy it at Safeway.
While in the USAF back in the 70s our Everclear parties began on Friday night and with a new trash can. Cover charge was fruit while the Everclear was arranged. Being stationed outside of Rapid City, SD we usually had the party in the badlands or in the Black hills. This was necessary because after a couple of times putting the word out we learned no one's house/apt had enough room. Like I said the party started Friday night but for those of us that had to report in on Monday, Sunday was time to go back. Of course there was usually leftover joy juice that there were some slow to go well into the week. Also someone always seemed to be coming back off leave and show up with a pocket full of hometown flavor to share.

I think the strongest alcohol that I've ever drank straight was some type of spiced rum that was like 50 or 55% abv. This was back when I was really drinking heavily like in 2008 and 2009. Hahah.....the Classic ...Everclear.....we used to drink that stuff when we were young! Good times.......no memory at all of those times, but good times....😂😂
Simple distillation is just boiling the water off. At 95% the ethanol starts to boil off as well, despite having a higher boiling point than water (azetrope), so you can’t get the ethanol more concentrated. You can get 100% ethanol, but it involves a chemical process and is much more expensive to produce.
I made the mistake of drinking Everclear straight in college. I also used it to make Green Dragon (weed tincture), which is a very interesting concoction all by itself. Being that THC is fat and alcohol soluble but most other drinks are WATER and alcohol soluble, whenever you make a mixed drink with the Green Dragom, the THC precipitates into a cloudy mixture on account of its lack of water solubility!!! Two DUIs, years of addiction to other various "harder" substances, I am one year clean 😎 My first drink was whiskey st the age of 13 and it was love at first sight... I was like now I can be normal
Back in college, on of my last memories from a party was me chugging what I thought was the smallest bit of everclear at the bottom of the bottle. All I remember is tilting it, then I woke up the next day half dead 🤢
Ya know I use everclear as a solvent. The azeotrope oversimplified means at a certain point alcohol and water will come over with more and more with less alcohol when you try to push past 95%. So it will actually dilute the 95% I use molecular sieves to trap the water and I make my everclear 100% or 200 proof. I think it would just strip water out of your throat mouth and stomach. You would think that the extra 5% alcohol wouldn't make it stink too much worse but it makes a decent difference. I'll just keep using it as a solvent but once in awhile I think boy one shot would lay someone out 😂😂 Great video BTW I don't drink but you really got me wanting to try one of the drinks youve made!
Came here for the Polish comments and I'm not disappointed. Like, yeah, we can drink it over here and so we do sometimes. Undiluted. It is a tricky pony though. You either breath yer air out of the lungs and then drink it, or you take a deep breath, drink, then breath out the air. This method won't burn yer lungs with the ethanol fumes. This part you have missed, laddie :). Anyroad, thanks for posting.
0:34 you can actually have 100%, or something like 99+ by drying it with chemicals for example. But yes you can drink 95+ alcohol, just means that the ethanol in the bottle can't be simply purified by distillation because the boiling point of this mixture in those concentration is actually lower than the boiling point of ethanol, so the concentration of ethanol in the vapour and in the liquid will be ~ the same.
In high school, we made PJ (everclear with fruit juices and fresh fruit). The longer you wait the better it gets (we didn’t have much patience back then (usually 12 hours)).
Everclear is sold in two strengths. The higher ABV is not legal in all states. I can’t imagine the after effects from drinking such potency. We use it as a food grade sanitizer for kitchen & medicine cabinet utensils. 🤷♂️ IJS
I have been drinking grain alcohol, Everclear and or Graves straight for years, since 1996. You can not drink alot, but you can. If you shoot it, 2 shots are enough for a night, please don't drive or operate any machinery. I use to mix equal parts Everclear and clear overproof jamaican rum and vanilla beans. Its a Olde Fashion Mike Tyson punch to the nose of a drink
Hitting its azeotrope wouldn't make it undrinkable, it's just the temperature where distilling it further would remove too much alcohol. Basically, 95% is the highest abv you can have because you can't extract any more water from it without it losing enough alcohol such that the 95% volume% ratio of ethanol to water is preserved
@@seemslegit6203 you can normally get up to 96%, but 0.4% will disappear over time. In PL we have 96% spiritus in almost every shop, we use it to make tinctures, liqueurs and other high voltage alcohols.

If it was any higher proof, it would tend to vaporize after you removed the seal. Also, it is practically impossible to make stable alcohol without some level of impurity. in this case, 5% distilled water.
Not true, what happens is it turns back to +-95% when trying to distill 99% clear alcohol because at 95% alcohol and water obtain the same boiling point because of molecular interactions in the mixture. 95% alcohol evaporates at almost the same rate as 99% when left out at room temperature
No idea where you got that idea from buddy, ethanol over 95 percent will pull moisture out of the air and eventually dilute itself back down to 95%. It wont evaporate noticeably faster than 95% will. to get above 95% alcohol to begine with you have to desiccate it or use molecular sieves.

I saw my depression from every angle, realized much. Next day: depression totally gone. Never came back, never coming back. Since no one explained what an azeotrope is, I'll do it:
An azeotrope basically means a mixture of two liquids that boils off at a specific concentration.
In Germany you can get "trinkspiritus" with 96%.
How's that's possible?
@@lpjust6 I guess they just round up to 96%

@@callumh4991 Yea I saw NileRed's video on that, he made 100% ethanol using molecular sieves

Keyword here is was
Azeotrope doesn’t make it undrinkable.

So what you're saying is that alcohol IS in fact a solution.
@@superslash7254 yes because there is no such thing as actually 100% pure ethanol. You can only archive that within a sealed system without air (moisture) in it.
Spyritus Rektiviozka (Polish rectified alcohol) is 97.5%
@@supermaster2012maybe until You open it, then it absorbs water from enviroment and You end up with ~95% depending on humidity i guess?
@@an0nim11 no, the dissolved sugars prevent it. However, it does evaporate very quickly to the point that taking a small shot is practically impossible because by the time you put it in your mouth half of it has already evaporated and the other half evaporates as soon as it touches your mouth due to body temperature.

I had a shot of Everclear in Hyder, Alaska. It’s not that bad.
Did you aye?

Chemist here: an azeotrope is a mixture of substances with a lower boiling point than either of its components on their own. With ethanol and water, this occurs around 95%. This means if you attempt to distill it, what you're boiling off is 95% alcohol and 5% water, therefore not changing the alcohol content, because this mixture has a lower boiling point than pure alcohol.
Once the state run liqour stores in Washington lost their monopoly. Everclear has been legal in Washington State. In the past the state run liqour stores refused to sell it. Now you can buy it at Safeway.
hmm interesting
yeah ive seen it in stores, true
Now we have to remove the state monopoly on weed so we can grow our own.
Twice i finished a bottle. One time i passed out for two days and woke up in hospital with failing kidneys, the other time i passed out in my bed and woke up fine
I think the strongest alcohol that I've ever drank straight was some type of spiced rum that was like 50 or 55% abv. This was back when I was really drinking heavily like in 2008 and 2009. I haven't drank anything alcohol in the past several years though. This was during a time when Four Lokos, Joose, and Tilt all had caffeine in then mixed with 12% alcohol.
LoL im 17 and drank 85% hehe. It tasted not that bad
I was 18 when I bought my first bottle of 69% absinthe and my god, thats the highest they can legally sell here in Queensland
@@user-ed5bd5xp1x it don't seem that long ago since I turned 17, but that was on May 11th, 2001. However I remember the first time I drank alcohol like wine I remember was on Thanksgiving and my mom gave us a glass of wine. This was when I was 10 years old in 1994. I think the wine was like Merlot or Cabernet.
@Logan Marquez 24 to 25 years old I remember was when I first tried four loko which was in early 2009. Before that, I do remember trying Sparks a few times in 2006 and 2007. This was when all those alcoholic drinks had caffeine in them.
Strongest liquor I've ever had is Bundaberg Overproof, which is a rum here in Australia. 57% alcohol.
I'm Polish and we call it "Spirytus" here, my grandpa used to mix it with onions and herbs and then proceeded to drink it with a spoon, many times he let me try it, I was only 6 back then lol

Friend of mine who is a big guy went through a time where he drank a lot. His tolerance combined with his build lead him to doing shots of this stuff straight because it was the most economical way for him to get drunk lol
Those stories be funny till he calls you a year from now needing a kidney transplant
Dude straight shots are so terrible. It sucks the moisture from your throat and gives you this terrible dry gagging. It's been 10 years since I even did shots with buddies in college but I still distinctly remember how brutal it was. i hope he's at least chasing it.
Yo! This was me. I hardly drink anymore. But that was surely the cheapest way around for me to reliably do it.
Imagine drinking 100% pure ethanol
Hahah.....the Classic ...Everclear.....we used to drink that stuff when we were young!

Two DUIs, years of addiction to other various "harder" substances, I am one year clean 😎
My first drink was whiskey st the age of 13 and it was love at first sight... I was like now I can be normal
Congratulations on one year sober! 👍🏼👍🏼
That one guy : “Any man who doesn’t drink everclear straight is no real man.
What were we talking about I seem to have pissed myself.”
"Heyyyy! It's the weekend, can you make me an Everclear drink w some berries?"
"Sure"
"Hey it's been 20 mins, where's my drink?"
"Come back on Monday"
The azeotrope means that if it was any more alcohol it pulls water out of the air to dilute it
Back in college, on of my last memories from a party was me chugging what I thought was the smallest bit of everclear at the bottom of the bottle.
I'll just keep using it as a solvent but once in awhile I think boy one shot would lay someone out 😂😂
Great video BTW I don't drink but you really got me wanting to try one of the drinks youve made!
Etilic alcohol 99% (from grain)

Similar to evercler
Not for drinking straight, if you want to use your liver

Wow, you must know how to party LOL
We finished a bottle one time, me and my homie. After a couple shots goes down smooth. Just keep some water by you'll be fine.
Taking shots of everclear for alcohol drinkers is like drinking a shot of straight grease for cooks.
need to drive to Arizona since that shit is not sold in CA for my end of year party :)
You can technically make it stronger, but not with normal distillation
@@seemslegit6203 you can normally get up to 96%, but 0.4% will disappear over time. In PL we have 96% spiritus in almost every shop, we use it to make tinctures, liqueurs and other high voltage alcohols.

I remember at a party we took 2 bottles of everclear, several vodkas, and literal gallons of Hawaiin punch and chopped fruit and filled a (Cleaned) bathtub up with this jungle juice for roughly 90 people. I believe at least half of them crashed on the floor due to being too trashed. One of the best parties I've been too

I'm from Germany and when me and my friend wanted to go to Sweden on vacation we looked for the strongest and purest alcohol that we could find at the supermarket to take it with us because alcohol is very expensive and difficult to get in Sweden. We found something called Spyritus 95 in the supermarket and it actually also has 95% alcohol. This way we could carry a lot of alcohol in a very efficient way to Sweden. In Swede we always mixed it with water and syrup to drink it. It tasted like ass but it did the job and we got very drunk. Best trip to Sweden ever.

If it was any higher proof, it would tend to vaporize after you removed the seal. Also, it is practically impossible to make stable alcohol without some level of impurity. in this case, 5% distilled water.
Vaporized is a good way to put it lmao
Not true, what happens is it turns back to +-95% when trying to distill 99% clear alcohol because at 95% alcohol and water obtain the same boiling point because of molecular interactions in the mixture. 95% alcohol evaporates at almost the same rate as 99% when left out at room temperature
Also you can't get over 95 with distillation, you need to use some other way to get the water out.
