I wouldn't call it 99% perfect. He has no idea how cristallino tequila is made and makes up some steel barrel bs. He thinks nikka coffey grain is distilled from coffee (instead of using Coffey Still, not even the same word). He called Kraken a dark rum, where in reality it is a barely aged, spiced rum, that is colored a dark color. Not what a dark rum actually is. Plenty of other things I can nitpick. He's charismatic, and the video is great for an absolute noob, but he's also spreading misinformation.

Man I've been watching TB videos for years! This is by far my favourite for how he brought engagement and allowed me to understand my drinks and alcohol in such a short but precise video! Stay tipsy!
Great video, and thank you for not perpetuating the (incorrect) myth that "bourbon has to come from Kentucky" because that simply isn't true. One thing though, the Nikka Coffey Grain Japanese whisky isn't made from coffee, the name comes from the type of still (a Coffey still, there are only like 3 left in operation worldwide I believe) that it's made in. And the "grain" part of the name is a reference to the fact that it's made predominantly of grain (as opposed to their Nikka Coffey Malt, which is made predominantly from malted barley, which IMO isn't as good as the Coffey Grain).
So I was taking as a coach from Estonia to Latvia (as you do) and was sitting next to a Latvian dentist. We’re chatting away about lots of random crap and then he whips out a bottle of Tequila “this is very good” he kept saying that, we drank a lot and to be fair it was good! Never drank neat tequila before … it was that Silver Blanco stuff, the point to that story was that up until now I didn’t know what brand it was, Tipsy just showed the bottled and it brought it all back
@@davidabest7195 It was a holiday I was on with some mates, we travelled a bit and we drank a lot… obviously eastern europe likes hard spirits more than we do in the UK, that is a fact, you only have to go there. As a result you drink a lot. So I wasn’t too bad after the tequila because I was drinking about a bottle of Vodka a day so it wasn’t too bad. If I drank the same amount now, I might end up in hospital 😂

As someone who is currently starting as a bar back and wanting to be a bartender, these videos are amazing. Love your videos, the information, love and the charisma that you give off. Keep up the great work.
One thing i would like to add/clarify around 17:30 Coffey Grain doesn’t mean actual coffee. It means it was made using the Coffey still method (it’s a distilation method invented around the early 1800s) Do not make the mistake of thinking it has coffee flavours or something. Very good and entertaining video tho.
I love how he inserted all these alcohol quotes. He's a great teacher. And I appreciate him bc there are so many videos that talk but that aren't topically on point.
Learning how to bartend, and someone recommended me your channel. This video is everything I knew I wasn’t being told, and I appreciate your explanation more than I can say. Will be spending a lot of time with your channel. Thanks in advance.

Good afternoon friend, I'm from Brazil, and I've been following your channel for some time, and I always learn something from your videos. I saw that you put cachaça 51 as rum, but here we distinguish. Both drinks are distilled, but while cachaça comes from sugarcane juice, rum is made from molasses (reduced and caramelized sugarcane juice). A big hug!! Thanks for the course!!
Eles consideram cachaça um tipo de Rum, mas que só pode ser produzida no Brasil. Aparentemente tem um Rum francês que também é produzido do suco da cana.

You know i took you guys as the party and classless type of alcohol channel. This has certainly elevated your content and it's very educational. The way you enunciate the words, it's better than native white English speakers in the US. I appreciate this series.
Imma be honest, Tipsy Bartender makes pretty sweet party drinks, and I wasn’t expecting this to be super high quality. But the value and insight of this video was amazing! I even learnt a couple of new things 😊
Omg…..I just stumbled across your channel and I’m hooked. You are so knowledgeable from the clear ice….to types of alcohol. I have learned more from you in thirty minutes than a lifetime of parties.
Seeing the bottles at first, I could not tell the difference of many of the bottles. After about 20 minutes, seeing al those bottles again, I pretty much could tell a bit about all of them. And that tells me. This is not only a teacher, this is a master. (And a little proud to be Dutch, since the start of Gin with our Jenever) Many elderly people have that brown bottle in their home in the Netherlands. A party, a birthday. Everybody drinks their drinks. But grandpa always wants his 'Citroen Jenever' Lemon Genever.
Really cool that you mentioned Cachaça! But in fact, even though it's similar, we don't consider it a rum here in Brasil. Cachaça is a spirit by itself and has multiple types (aged, for example).
Really great and comprehensive beginner video with exactly the right amount of detail! Even with over 10 years of home bartending experience, it was still very engaging, largely thanks to the energy of the presenter. I had to learn all this myself over a sizeable length of time, but it was lots of fun. Keep going!
I never liked most of your short videos so I assumed what I should have not assumed. Then I saw your long videos (two of them) and subscribed. Now I've seen many of them. You for sure know what you are talking about and I love the way you talk about it. You show passion and knowledge. A pleasure to learn with you. So, yeah, don't judge a book by its cover. Keep up the lovely work.
This video took me back to college when we were learning about alcoholic beverages. Glad to know I still know most of the things discussed. Hope you get more views! This is 💯
Just wanted to help you clarify that the Don Juilo70 and (to my knowledge) any tequilas that have been aged and are clear (usually called a cristalino), has been filtered (often using charcoal) after aging to carefully remove colour without altering the taste.
Thanks for all of the work you put into this series. This is both informative and fun. I cant wait until I can have people over again to show off my improved bartending skills.

I saw this video and had to click on it. Now that I am, I am glad he's doing this series because it's stuff I can actually use now xD

This is amazing, I've been following your channel for a long time and not knowing much about alcohol, this is the perfect place to start, you're so entertaining and it's just to much better than anything else I've seen, cheers!
Hey Typsi Bartender, this video is incredible! Amazing how easy you make to understand the differences between liquor and liqueur. Just one tip: Cachaça here in Brazil is not related to Rum. It's a total different destilled beverage, making its own liquor brand. Thank you for your amazing work here.

I want to see a Tipsy Bartender/How to Drink cross over.
I just imagine as Greg is giving tasting notes he gets hit with the "AND THERE YOU HAVE IT!"
Really cool that you mentioned Cachaça! But in fact, even though it's similar, we don't consider it a rum here in Brasil. Cachaça is a spirit by itself and has multiple types (aged, for example).
This is fantastic. The teaching style and personality keeps me engaged despite having bartended for 7 years at this point
I don't even drink alcohol. In fact I was never really drunk in my life but you inspire me to make high quality drinks for others haha
Probably the most informative video that I’ve seen regarding alcohol. He explained the basics and had me laughing. 25 well spent minutes of my life😉
Really great and comprehensive beginner video with exactly the right amount of detail! Even with over 10 years of home bartending experience, it was still very engaging, largely thanks to the energy of the presenter. I had to learn all this myself over a sizeable length of time, but it was lots of fun. Keep going!
Thanks for sharing! I've been bartending about 7 months , your channel has been helpful. I love your charisma . 😊
I've been down lately and admittedly, don't drink that often, but your videos always pick me up.
Time for a drink then lol
@@leeeroyjenkinss this was 11 days ago and tonight is literally my first drinking session of the year lmao.
Never in my life I have ever been this interested in alcohols before
Very informative with such a great and fun delivery
This video took me back to college when we were learning about alcoholic beverages. Glad to know I still know most of the things discussed. Hope you get more views! This is 💯
I don't even drink much but just the knowledge of this is intriguing. Especially when it is explained very well. Looking forward to new videos.
Just wanted to help you clarify that the Don Juilo70 and (to my knowledge) any tequilas that have been aged and are clear (usually called a cristalino), has been filtered (often using charcoal) after aging to carefully remove colour without altering the taste.
This guy has such great energy! I feel like he gives great hugs
I had no knowledge about alcohol and its types. When I start watching this guy's introduction to alcohol I started developing some basics of alcohol.
Thanks for all of the work you put into this series. This is both informative and fun. I cant wait until I can have people over again to show off my improved bartending skills.
Love this teacher. Keeps me interested and he is full of charisma and energy. Love it
I absolutely love this guy. I've been a bartender for years, and I'm new to this channel, but I'm going to start watching just for fun! Hell, already learned from this video alone, so all the better!
Love this guy and this series. Things to learn for beginners and seasoned vets. Thanks for putting this together!
Fantastic video. Been bartending for a year but started at a new cocktail heavy bar and this video is exactly what I needed. Thank you. You earned a sub :)
A cocktail course was already needed.
Thank you for the opportunity 😎👌🏼
I saw this video and had to click on it. I consistently watched his content way back in the early days of the channel mostly because of his personality but it was before I was legally allowed to drink or even drank at all. Now that I am, I am glad he's doing this series because it's stuff I can actually use now xD
Respect to you. You shared your knowledge and not once did you ask for a dime. That's giving back. We love you! Stay Tipsy!
Really enjoyed this video. You have great energy and GREAT KNOWLEDGE. Thank you so much!
I came looking for this after I saw his other videos- he plays a lot but he’s not playing - he knows his stuff!!
Great job breaking down the liquors and liqueurs. The one thing that the COVID pandemic has done it to get people drinking more, at least it has for me. It's good to know the basic and distinguishing traits. Keep educating us, homeboy! Looking forward to seeing what video you "come behind" with next!
Man! So easy and fun to listen to! First couple seconds in you got me dialed in to everything you’re saying. Great video man! Learned a lot thank you! Was just going through tons of pointless videos for a bit then I found you and I’m so glad I did!
To think I only subbed to this channel to see bottles go "blublublublub" into a bucket, but this is a proper educational series. I learned a lot from it. Cheers.
I have never meet you in person but I would guess you to be the best bartender I know
I’m a big fan 😁👍🏻
great job
My god this man is so fun to watch and also really informative. Absolutely great stuff here.
Need more video like this u are a different with it the personality mixed with entertainment plus we take something away from the video.. Much love
24 minutes well spent! packed with knowledge. love this show turn educational.
This is amazing, I've been following your channel for a long time and not knowing much about alcohol, this is the perfect place to start, you're so entertaining and it's just to much better than anything else I've seen, cheers!
I’ve been really trying to get into bartending, this video is fantastic. Thank you so much sir
I watched the whole video and I don't even drink. That says a lot about how engaging this man is
Dude. I''ve Bartended almost 20 years. This video is fuckin awesome. Telling my servers to watch it.
Not being an ass but how's ur liver
Your excitement is contagious and you are really talented to share your knowledge. Congrats on the video and channel!
Skyy explained the concept in a much more clear way then my FnB teacher thanks to him .. stay tipsy ✌️✌️
im fan of those who keep things going because i think we can always work ourselves as a mind, and obviusly kis and new generations, we can guide all of them
