      @L5Dashy Год назад +239

      I think it's just more to do with how separated Igor is from a story perspective from all the other Tylers, another comment points out how Cherry Bomb was his favourite project whereas the entire point of Igor is it's a perfect loop, adding anything else onto it would kinda kill that sentiment, especially the likes of an apology, it's a complete story compared to the likes of Wolf Tyler or Tyler Baudelaire and needs nothing added. And from the character perspective Igor ISNT Tyler the way the others are, and the toxicity of his character leaves him with nothing to be apologetic for. (Just my takes on it tho)

    • @MyLiverismyEnemy
      @MyLiverismyEnemy Год назад +87

      I mean, for Igor, why should anyone apologize for speaking their truth. The only apology there was speaking truth to anyone hurt due to Igor's actions, and that was already done with the album. So no apologies are needed there.

    • @Tristanmightbehere
      @Tristanmightbehere Год назад +66

      THATS WHAT IVE BEEN SAYING. It’s also really cool because it makes sense in the storylines. Every album apologized for what they did wrong, except Goblin, Cherry Bomb, and IGOR. Goblin believes he did nothing wrong, IGOR is the one that needs to be apologized to, and Cherry Bomb doesn’t have a storyline so it has no one to apologize to

    I think that from interviews, I really believe that Tyler is most inspired by Kendrick and not because of his style or even his fancy wordplay but his vulnerability, his ability to weave deeply vulnerable and challenging self critical self reflective thoughts into poetry. The only way to go in inward and to ultimately become more of yourself as an artist instead of looking for outward trends and costume-concepts to try on that hide our true self. He's definitely about killing his darlings and that makes him interesting as an artist

    I feel like the Tyler’s next album is going to be about his life. The things that the representation of his next album talks about are quite personal and the fact that the representation is half naked could be implying that Tyler is going to reveal more information about himself than he’s ever done before. As you said, it could be something like JAY-Z’s 4:44. Everybody seems to be making personal albums these days, so why not ride the trend? Kendrick did it and let’s just say that the 1,855 days were worth it.

      To add on in all of Tylers eras we see him hiding himself through his style. Wether it be with the hats he styles himself in CMIYGL or the wig he wears during IGOR, hes always seems to be hiding himself. But with this new era we see him fully exposed. Half naked, impling the vounrability that this new era might show.

  • @coastercraziness
    @coastercraziness Год назад +524

    I think Tyler is gonna be the next artist going down the “personal” album route. First Kendrick and now Tyler. He’s completely exposed and is killing off all these over exaggerated pieces of his personality to shine light on who he really is. He’s gonna give us him. He’s going to show us who Tyler Okonma is. I’m hoping this is the case, and if it is I think it’ll be his best work thus far. I’m also crossing my fingers he experiments with other genres (whether it be jazz or funk or anything else) I wanna see something only Tyler could make

    My theory is that the next album will be called “Okonma” or something to do with his goverment name. I think the sorry not sorry music video dives into him accepting his flaws of his past selves but refusing to dwindle on them or keep them around. Him killing the old personalities off is a way of him saying the past is the past, ive had problems but ive also had success so now im gonna embrace it and be me. I think his next album will be simple but I think he’ll take a step to make the music HE wants to make instead of what people around him want to hear. As in the past he has always made music that is more similar to the “trendy” sound.

    being what i imagine one of the biggest fans of tyler, personally in my head i've been expecting him to drop his next album where its him trying to out beat IGOR.
    i feel like this will be done with another conceptual album and a certain vibe, will be super alternative (and pop) and a rather heavy amount of his regular singing, rather than the last project with CMIYGL where it was more rap oriented, and less pitched up singing, like in Igor. not to say this album won't have rapping or pitched up vocals but it will mainly feature his regular octave voice being more melodic through singing. tyler has actually really gotten good at singing in the last couple years lowkey, i recommend wharf talk in regular pitch for those who want proof.
    anyways in my mind i imagine the concept of the album as tyler picking another different aesthetic (color) that he hasn't used before(so i always imagine like purple or something like that and it randomly reminds of the title of his unreleased album from the early 2010s called Dinosaur so I always think in my mind it's going to be soemthing of that nature lol)

    Are you sure you didin't switched bastard and goblin? Cause the one you said is from bastard has the fit of the video clip from the first song of goblin. And also the two last remaing are the green mask and tyler bodalaire so it makes more sense that they are the first and last

    IGOR didn't apologize because: He was the one who was hurt, therefore he was the one in need of an apology instead of apologizing
    Cherry Bomb didnt apologize because: he didn't really have anything to apologize for, he didnt really do anything wrong, just like IGOR.

    I think Igor isn’t talking because he’s the most popular out of Tyler’s albums so he’s not taking the main stage and cherry bomb looks strange and out of place because it’s Tyler’s most unique and experimental album

    In 2010, this would have been known by anyone who cared and would just be passed around via word of mouth, in 2016, someone would have reviewed the album and said something like this about the song.
    These days people post an entire video about one nanometer of info/news/opinion.

    I don’t fully agree because I think that it’s mainly just a way to sum up or end his era of cmiygl and that the last Tyler is just him it’s Tyler okonma who is getting rid of every other eras of his to start a new era

    Not gonna lie, if this is the end of Tyler Baudelaire in full, I’m gonna miss it. It’s my favourite Tyler, and in my opinion it’s the best album he’s done in his modern era (Flower Boy, IGOR, CMIFYGL).
    Not to be overly parasocial but I can relate to that era the most because I’m aspiring to be at that level in my own life (not as a musician).
    After seeing him having to take take a break from rapping to OKRA live in 2019, I was convinced he’d never rap again lol.
