I love my 2014 SI. The only thing that I would change would be to have the real physical buttons for the volume and all that because they actually don’t have that in the 2014. It’s distracting when you can’t feel a physical button and you’re feeling around to make sure you hit the right part of a touchscreen. It's hard to tell, based on your demonstration, considering your driving habits and what grade the road is at... but it sounds like the 9th gen struggles to get up to 7k RPM. The vtec is there, but it's not pushing it like it does with the 8th gen. I find it fun driving the 8th gen up hills with some bends. The LSD paired with 3rd gear at 4.5k-7.5k feels right to me. Great video.

Honda purposely did what they did in the past to get us into turbo hence the K24 responding better with boost. Even the 10th gen tail lights resemble the 9th gen. Someone on reddit told me the stock wHP for an 8th gen was around 120. But you said 180. I thought the stock regular HP was 180ish. I have an 08 coupe Si but my paint is trash, im close to 165k miles on it. For someone like me who may never find time and or money to mod the 08 and get it painted do you think I’d enjoy selling it and getting a ‘13 sedan? 97k miles.

    • @ProjectRad

120 is way to low I may have said to high but it's probably around 170ish to wheel. At crank it's 197hp and with the 10-15% drive train loss. Definitely not the 120. It's definitely up to you and want you want. If you like the Vtec and high strung nature of the 8th keep it. But if you want torque go 9th.
