    I'm a new subscriber and just wanted to let you know how much I have been appreciating the channel. I have been going through some of your older videos, and I think the main appeal for me is this feels like "old school" RUclips. Not over edited, longer form, and most importantly...you show the crappy things that happen to you. So much of RUclips now is over edited highlight reels or content that is made 100% for money generation, and seeing you, your cars, your family and the crappier side of things that we all go through is really refreshing. Keep up the good work and please please please, don't change your video style!

    I had an 8th gen not too long ago, and I promise you; the 8th gen feels so raw and that vtec crossover is crazy. Revving that engine to 8.2k rpms is so exhilarating. Of course, it feels much older. But that's the point. Raw and LAST generation of TRUE Vtec. I love the look of the facelift 9th gen, but the handling, performance, and feelings of driving an 8th gen SI just feels so good.

    Car salesmen are so uneducated these days. I could see the metal valve stems on the wheels indicating a sensor on the wheel. I have 13 Si and have worked in the automotive industry for quite some time and several years with a wheel remanufacturing company in Tampa. If the light is flashing, I would think that either the module has a fault or a sensor or sensors are dead. Being a 13MY it makes more sense for the sensor itself to be dead (battery inside the sensor). They have an average life of 6-9 years. Cameron, I remember watching some of your older videos with a previous silver 13 Si. I enjoy your content.

    I just picked up an FL5 CTR a few days ago and love the car, great power and refinement BUT, I kept my 8th gen and just took for a spin; the rawness of the car, the sound of the engine, the VTEC cross over and go cart feel reassured me that I made the right decision in keeping it. They don't make engines like the K20Z3, and while it doesn't make 300+ horsepower stock, it's such an enjoyable car that I would recommend anyone get one, just for the smiles per liter/gallon alone.

  • @Cmobley_
    @Cmobley_ 2 месяца назад

    Hey , Cameron. One thing to watch out for when buying a used car , the windshield. If it is aftermarket there is a possibility of hidden rust in the pinchweld area. First check to see if the windshield is factory by looking at the "bug" in the corner . If it says Honda there's a good chance it's factory. If it says anything else Pilkington , PPG , FUYAO , XYG ETC. Be very careful. Not all windshield installers care about not scratching where you cant see and then you have a rust problem. You can also look under the headliner at the bead to see if its nice and even or a nasty mess. Stay away from anything that looks subpar or shows hints of rust under the headliner. The bottom corners of the windshield and body are also a good place to check. Just remember that a factory windshield is best and scrutinize any car that has had its glass replaced. If in doubt take it through a car wash and look for leaks after.

    My 9th gen has red badges,since first owner ,and it’s 29,000 miles ,only intake
    Badges nothing to do with beating on cars😂😂 but that clutch bite it’s the real issue😅😅

    I had the opportunity to get a brand new 2019 Civic Type-R back in September 2019 when my 2010 RX-8 got totalled on an accident...but I chose to get a 2015 Civic Si Coupe since it was also going to be a daily 😉

    id love to see you do an 8th gen ( i own a 13 9th myself tho lol). The point about the red honda badges, at least here in toronto, everyone does em and i dont think its a forsure indication it was modified and beat the crap out of. I will say though, my fb6 also grabs basically not too far off the floor, but i dont have any reference point to know whether its supposed to be like that or not. I just replaced my clutch (still oem) and it bites around the same point now that its worn in

    in my opinion the 9th does look nicer than an 8th, if you’re willing to put the money and work into it i’d say head swap it to really get the most out of it. i’d be something new for you and (would probably make some good content 👀)

    I found a 2008 Civic Si coupe for sale locally. All stock, no accidents for sale by original owner. Was garage kept and is like brand new with only 4000 miles on it(yes, 4000 miles, not a typo). How much would that be worth? Owner wants $28k cdn(about $20,500US).

      That's an instant buy if you ask me. A friend of mine is the original owner of his 2007 Si sedan with over 200k on it. Been stock the whole time and he beats the hell out of it lol. Absolutely no issues. Just regular maintenance.

    Seems like every used si is beat to shit and overpriced, I’ve been looking for years. I’ve expanded my search to include 9th gen 6-6 accord coupes which are a little harder to find then si’s but generally in better condition overall. Why is it so hard finding clean manual transmission Hondas 😭
