I had a set of Boomba torque mounts on my 2011 Si back in 2011. Pricey, but that’s a great product if you have the cash. But this one you replaced is the main one. A solid set makes so much vibration it’s crazy.

With their new 2.0T 4cyl engine coming out I’d hope that they release a version that’s just a GE (non turbo) keeping the same displacement with forged internals and a higher RPM redline. Akin to the 2ZZGE. Maybe making 220-228HP with D4S and dual VVTI. But that may all be wishful thinking. 8,500 RPM would be sweet though.

Replace the coolant expansion tank with either a new stock expansion tank or a mishimoto alloy one and also replace the two thin hoses that plumb into it at the same time , they all break down and crack and leak after a few years and coolant leaks or loss of pressure on the expansion tank side will cook this engine and ruin it just as good as a failed timing belt. would recommend doing this at 9-10 years at latest if you want to hold onto one of these and have it continue being a great little car for another ten years, I just did all this and timing belt and water pump and tensioner pully at ten years and now can sleep safely just doing tires oil and brakes for hopefully ten more years. ( mines a 2014 2 door )

I’ve owned an R3 for 3 years now, and it’s a must keep even as a second motorcycle. They are reliable, great quality, and excellent handling. Another thing is that the R3 retains its value. You can buy a used one, have it for a couple years, then sell it for almost what you paid for it. CFmotos depreciate badly and their quality isn’t as good. You’d take a loss trying to sell a CFmoto on the used market.

I had CEL on before I got my header installed (alpha skunk2 header) because of a bad catalytic converter. However, after getting them installed, the CEL was still on. Doesn’t anyone know if this is normal? If so how can I fix this because it’s really messing with my cars performance (slow acceleration and not very responsive) it’s so annoying I’ve been haven’t this issue a while now.
