Good stuff Dan,.... to everyone that's having problems. I got the same thing when using Chrome but if you have a Mac and use Safari it takes you directly to what Dan is offering.
thanks for finding a solution Greenpea! I have no idea why my link leads to spam for so many people.. Ive been working on it but Im going to have to have a professional web guy look at it. thanks for the help!
Thanks man for this vid!! I love in Loretto, Minnesota and have been trying to get out for some ice fishing. Just haven’t had time, but thanks for the tips! Best of luck to you, and keep posted
Any thoughts on man-made lakes? There's a lot of info out there for you guys that fish natural lakes....but down here in Iowa most of our lakes are man-made. Usually the deepest water is along the dam that holds back the entire lake. We do a lot of brush pile fishing. I try to locate deep ones in the summer or by GPS maps in the winter......but I'd like to figure out the "basin bite" on the lakes I fish.
It's been my experience that in impoundments fish will often relate to the main creek channel, wherever it is. If you know where crappies spawn, start in the creek channel adjacent to their spawning areas.
I learned a few things in this video. Thank you. I know this is an old video, but if you happen to see this, when probing around for fish, and ensuring not to "set up camp," do you normally try a few different colors at a few different depths, or do you just use one set up to do all your probing? I guess that is where I am at in my current skill level. I am trying to learn the correct way to probe around for fish. I do not have a boat currently, though looking at simple boats for the future, and any guidance or information on the proper way to probe bodies of water for fish would be very helpful. Thanks again, and since it's relevant today, Merry Christmas.
thanks man, a late Merry Christmas to you. what I do is start with a color I have high confidence in (a color I caught a lot of fish on in the past) if I mark a lot of fish and they dont bite then I try a different color.
im in the south(louisiana)..dont have to drill holes..no lake freezes..cant locate crappie..i try on kincaid lake...please look at navionics and give me some clues where to start...
Not a problem. I just subscribed so not totally familiar with your channel yet. Are you mostly about Ice Fishing cause I really don't ice fish like I did when I was your age or younger. When I was a kid in the late 50's and through the 60's ice fishing was an every year thing for us. We didn't have special tip ups fish finders and OMG underwater cameras are you kidding me LOL yes I typed LOL The fun is sometimes in not knowing whats down there but because I'm on your channel tells you I have given into today's technology to a degree. I am parked in my CAVE sucking down my second pot of coffee and would be lost without my YOU TUBE. I learn a lot from you guys that are willing to share your knowledge with others. I would remind you guys also that if you still have Fathers and Grandfathers never forget them or realize how much knowledge they have to give you also. Thanks again
Always great tips. I fish a quarry in n.y. about 5 acres max depth of about 45 ft. Crystal clear. Has underwater springs. Only 2 small shallow bays and a large hump in middle. I know it has a good population and large crappie Up to 16 in. But I have a hard time finding em while ice fishing.
Yes, large reservoirs, and a one small reservoir that I would estimate at 15 acres. I know there are white and black crappie in them. I’ve seen them. I catch bass and bluegill all day but not. one. single. crappie. I’ve tried jigs. All colors. Bobbed and jigging. Live minnows bobbed and weighted, just weighted and free line. I’ve tried all depths and seem to make more times making adjustments to find a bite, and still haven’t caught a single one. This has been going on for years. I’ve talked to the locals with stringers full and tried their techniques. I’m 31. I haven caught a crappie since I was 13. I don’t have a boat, and it doesn’t freeze here so sonar devices are out of the question. I’m losing my mind. Any help would be appreciated.
Appreciate it but still nothing. I live in Northern Michigan about 12 miles from the Mackinaw Bridge and have tons of big and small lakes but I do have an awesome Lake book that shows almost everything one needs to know about them. It would be fairly easy to use your technique to find the fish I want. Thanks.
sorry man, I am not a web guy and I am having trouble figuring out how my link is not working... you have some good lakes over there, I know there are some big crappie and bluegill lakes. with a little work you should be on some good fishing. Let me know how you do!
I tried your new link, I think you have a virus or you've been hacked somehow. It took me to a page promising giveaways and I had to shut down the page to get out. Hopefully RUclips can sort it out for you.
thanks for letting me know... I am not sure why that is happening, it is working for me. try here www.dominatefishing.com/6-step-crappie-locating-system/
sorry for the confusion, the 7 step crappie locating system is free... it should have been emailed to you. Dominate crappie seasonal moves and location is a paid course.
Hey dan I watch your vids anyways cause they good and I like them. But I gotta ask, are you for real? Because what your offering doesn’t seem to work. Why go thru all the trouble w emails and such? Why not just post another video? I’m sure people would watch that
yes, Ive been using emails for a lot of years and never had trouble like this.. its frustrating because the link appears to be good so I cant figure out why it leads to spam for so many people...
@@dominatefishing9641 I have never once seen your videos. But when hearing that part of the video I almost just closed the video and moved on. I'd reccomend not doing that because it screams b.s.
