I just learned what I have been trying to learn. I fish hard but I just can't find them this time of year. I never thought to look for shad in creeks. Thank you soooo much Richard. You need your sat. Nite. Fishing show on the sportsman channel. You Teach us how to find what were fishing for without saying we gotta buy this or buy that. To catch what were looking for. Hey. That means the world to me. I watched this video 3. Times and let it sink in. Going wed. To try it. I know where a big cove with a creek coming in it is at. Couple weeks ago I went in there and saw shad balls all over my garmen. So thanks GOD BLESS. AND MERRY MERRY CHRISTMAS. WHOHHHH. WHOHHHH WHOHHHHHHH.

I know it's against fisherman's policy to say which creek it is or where on the creek you are, but maybe once every Christmas, you could tell us exactly where you are. Dad and I fished the bridge columns with small and large minnows from sun up to sun down this past Thursday on Lake Guntersville and didn't get a bite. We had a few worms and caught a few bream on worm. Then we caught a small bass on worm and shocker - I caught a nice crappie (our target species) on a worm in about 3 ft of water under another bridge! But the crappie wouldn't bite the minnows at all.

Merry Christmas Richard, I have been fishing the exact same situation/creek for about a year and have only caught one big crappie (13in). The creek is loaded with medium size shad (4in), 8lb average blues (caught a 20lber) and large bass (caught a 6lber). Depth ranges from 6-10ft. Plenty of blow downs. Plenty of bluegill to. Cannot locate the crappie. I am determined and I will take your advice to see what we can do.

Fishing, its that simple. :) Find that pattern. Patterns exist everywhere in nature. From the way the trees lay in the water, to the way the water carves out the banks. All information that will put you on more fish every time.
