Wow your fishing in a winter wonderland. I live in NW AL and fishing has been tough. Really windy days and water temps around 47 degrees F. I'm just ready for a couple of weeks of warmer weather without the wind. 👊👍

Specks have been on fire down here Okeechobee!! Been spawning for a month or better already and are in full swing, ready for the full moon!! Love your channel, and appreciate ya bud👍👍
It was pretty epic out there that day! Very surreal! My Uncle lived in Clewiston. So I’ve been on Okeechobee a few times! Never fished it for Crappie though. Bet there’s some tanks in there!

Actually, you don’t. That’s a 7’6” rod. Now there are long rods but I don’t generally use them. Long rods are most typically used for vertical jigging or spider rigging from a boat.
Glad I stumbled upon this channel. Very nice content and flow. Hey, I'd love to know where I can get a nice stringer like the one you used in this video. If anyone else reading this has a recommendation, please let me know. Stay Safe
@@jigginwithjake2796 Yeah these croppie have me confused this year. At a local lake there's a 30' channel that runs a good ways down the side of it. I always hammer them in there in the Winter (icefishing). No ice this year so I bought a little John boat just to get out there. And didn't catch a single one. Not sure if I need to try some shallow water or what?
Do u have a guesstimate on the water temp? And is that normal behavior to be shallow in winter? In my neck of the woods they tend to go deep and not get back into the shallows until spring.
Guess on water temp would be upper 40’s. This being a power plant lake and having a warm water discharge up current from the location I was fishing is why they are shallow. Thanks for watching. Hope you consider subscribing.
