I'm 61 and been fishing a long time. Stumbled on this video last night and a light bulb came on in my head. Went out early this morning and Bam!!!. I put more crappie in the boat than I have in months. Lighter jig and slowed down and it was almost majical. thanks for putting these out. I ordered some lighter heads and jigs from you. Don
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I just went out for an hour this evening here in Maine and got three MONSTER SLABS!!! I used your jig heads and green minnows and they slayed them!! You are THE man!!!
Thanks for the info..I used some of your tips this morning..caught 3 fish in about 20 minutes they weren't crappie but fish on the hook is better than nothin..lol
Man I’ve been trying to learn to catch crappie and you’ve really done a great job at simplifying this…. The slow roll and jig was what I was doing and not able to feel the bite but I’ll try this , thanks man!
Can you show how to use the depth finder , I have one exactly like it but don’t understand what I’m looking at , what’s brushtops , what’s stumps , baitfish, etc.
I like your no Bs style videos. I don’t wanna hear no jive, I wanna hear how you catch your fish. I live in FL but pretty passionate about catching specks year round down here so new fishing methods come in handy when they hard to find. Thanks 👍👍
You gone make me a real fisherman soon enough bro. This is my 1st time seeing your videos I’m finna watch all your sh!t. I’m looking to order some of your products as well. I want to teag my boys the way you teach hear.💪🏾
To have five fish in the boat in less than 10 minutes of unedited footage is impressive! Good tips for how to actually catch them too! Do you pour your own jigs to get that type of head?
Hello Steve. My name is Don. I was wondering where you are located at? I am off Lake Murray. I enjoyed your Beginning Crappie Fishing Video very much. 🎣
Man this was a very well put together presentation and I smashed the like button And subscribed now where's my two or three pound crappie??? LOL😋😋😋 you give a lot of good tips I have a few nice crappie and catfish trips on my channel and also do DIYs for fishing😁😁 I Fish North Texas👍👍👍
Lol I got rid of my boat so I spend a lot of time near piers and on the banks myself. I never bounce my jig tho. Always a consistent slow retrieve but I’m definitely gonna start bouncing
Nice vid! Just as I was trying to figure out a way to feel the line when jigging (still learning) your video came across my feed, truly amazing! Can you explain how you measure how much line you let out each cast? I tried to understand it but still can't figure it out.
@@TurnerFishingg I have a 6'6" rod, if I were to sling it out like you did I can safely assume that I have released about 6'6" line. Am I reading your explanation correctly? If so, how would you use the same method to cast if you are in shallow water like say 4 feet?
i live in northern lower Peninsula in Michigan. Our Crappie season is the best in May. How do you recommend catching crappies in water less than 55 degrees? 55 to 56 degrees puts Crappie in a feeding frenzy but when we have cold weather in the spring and you cant get them to hit. Need some advice.
@@TurnerFishingg where I fish is no deeper than 8 ft I fish out of a lagoon on lake missaukee in lake City Michigan. 7th biggest inland lake in Michigan.
@@TurnerFishingg pinhead minnows work the best but I just fish offshore I have to get a new trolling motor my other one's fried. Really weird but I never seem to be very well on artificial bait with crappie it's that live pinhead men all they love especially if you don't use split shot just put them to the hook with a bobber and let him swim free where there's nothing holding them back looking up so they just swim right up in the bottom and mail that sucker you've been getting them 12 13 in slabs
That slingshot cast , that’s pretty cool gunna try it . I like using the loop knot and my st croix UL 2 lb test ! Thanks for the video and techniques !
How about a how tube video on how you got started on utube? From extraction of your footage from your gopro to your laptop, from a good editing app and excedara.
I'm 46 been crappie fishing all my life I still suck at it lol they will humble me for sure sometimes they are a weird fish they remind me if a woman the way they change so quick lol money milk and chartruese is my go to in any water color.... good vid 👍
Way too many beginner fishermen for their first rod buy a medium action rod for bank fishing. Better off with an ultralight for crappie, bluegill, and trout. Still land the occasional 2 or 3 pound bass. Bass just aren’t typically as big as most people think. Look at the Bassmaster tournament results. If your bass averaged just 4 pounds, you could win 90% of the tournaments and be a millionaire. Most bass just aren’t that big.

How was the water temp? Does it matter to be cold for crappie fishing in lake vs river?

Great video!! I learned a lot. Keep it coming. Do you ever fish the lower lake for crappies?
Where are you centrally located? You had a recent video on Hartwell
I live near Lake Murray
I’m up in Westminster and fish Hartwell and Keowee, just really getting into crappie fish more now as I gotten older, Bass fished mostly for 35 years
I can find and catch crappie all year where ever but bass i struggle so bad haha went today got tournament Saturday and barely got a few bass
Do you put a weight on?
If there is current or wind but I try not to use one even then so it falls slower
Thanks for the tips!
Great video!
Me again why don't you put a dot of super glue towards the head put scent they can't smell it or do you have another reason
Thanks! Merry Christmas

Where from the bank is the best place to crappie fish
Nice video bro . You can also add waxed dental floss to your hook and a dab of super glue and fish with one jig all day !

Just found your channel Loved the video!
Bit different from the fishing in the UK for sure!
Gave you a sub so I get all your future updates!
I catch bigger ones by going a little deeper

Any color will catch them..colors don't matter..
Hit the red button for dinner tomorrow night 😅
I can see the dock owner coming out screaming “You Can’t Tie to My Dock..It’s Private Property “....
Can’t subscribe to your channel man, TOO much talk.
Can you do this on any dock on the lake, or just ones with brush?
Very enjoyable video. Nice jigs, will definitely be checking them out. New sub earned.
