      anthony bayate - I think so too. It’s a Mega Cab so that means it’s not a Power Wagon so they had to build it. I’ve always thought they would make a pretty good overlander. I also wish they would have done a walk around of it.

    Getting that Gladiator out there with that stance and those build numbers, is going to put EVO's number/online sales into overdrive. Bet many with the JL are thinking crossover products looking at that truck and how it handles those rocks like it's dancing in the mall parking lot getting closer to the doors of the store. LOL

    • @wayalife
      @wayalife  5 лет назад +1

      Without question, this Gladiator is badass and one that is made for a place like Moab. However, it's no replacement for the Wrangler and it would have a harder time on something like the Rubicon.

    Hey sir, I'm having an extremely difficult time finding any videos with Jeep Gladiators with 6in lifts installed off-roading. What size lift is on yours, and do you know anyone who has videos with 6in lift and showing articulation videos with the gladiator?

    • @wayalife
      @wayalife  2 года назад

      6" is a LOT of lift and not something that's really advantageous to have on the trail. Sure, you will have more ground clearance but your center of gravity will be way off too. That said, it can be tough to clear 40"-42" tires with anything less on a Gladiator. If you look through our videos, you will see some from the Jeep Experience trips we've attended.

    Do you think the gladiator would tow off road a conqueror 490 without loosing a lot power ? The trailer is 4000 lbs fully loaded.
    The other option is the power wagon but the size of the truck is a turn off. What’s your intake on that ? Thank you

    • @wayalife

      Approach angle to consider if you are going offload. Remember Mel is running 40's! I would love his set up but MPG must be bad too and Labor to pay for his set up would add up. If money was no problem I would set one up similar to Mel and keep my JLUR. If you are not modifying alot and can do without a truck bed the JLUR is the King still for tight trails and great approach angles. I love driving mine everytime I jump in! And I have a 2007 Toyota Tundra 2WD for towing and hauling. Love Love Love the Gladiator though!

    • @wayalife
      @wayalife  5 лет назад

      @HivePhoto I guess it'll depend on how you intend to use your Jeep. The Gladiator is no replacement for the Wrangler and vice versa. They're 2 different animals with pros and cons.

    • @jedaiahkramer1204
      @jedaiahkramer1204 5 лет назад

      @HivePhoto, food for thought: I love my JLU. I think it's proportions look better than the JT. I enjoy some moderate wheeling. But, I'm selling my JLU & buying a JT. I believe a 2" lift with 37s will improve the breakover & departure angles enough to still run moderate trails & dunes. I need to transport 10x20 EZup tents + passengers for work sometimes. I'll be able to do it in the JT, but not with my JLU. My wife and I like to kayak. We can transport kayaks on our hard top, but not if we get a soft top. A bed rack (cab height) on a JT will allow us to run a soft top open or closed while transporting kayaks. Most Wrangler roof racks (even exos) limit the open air experience. Everyone's situation & wants/needs are different, but those were my considerations. Hope they help. I'm certain that you'll love whichever one you choose. They're both great machines!

      LOL - that would be cool but the whole point of this build was to get it to where it is now and all for about the price of a fully loaded Rubicon.

    I'm still wanting a BMW! They can't make me buy one! They can't make me buy a Gladiator! ...Now I want to buy a Gladiator. I bet that longer wheel base feels so comfy.

      This is the first year of the Gladiator.
      History has it that the first year of any new model has the most bugs that is fixed in the later years. If I wanted one, I would skip this year.
      After over 100,000 units are sold, get on the Jeep forums and start seeing the recalls from Jeep and all the people sharing long list of problems and frustrations with their Gladiators. It is coming real soon. It just normal and it will happen.
      And then there would be that one guy who will take the name Gladiator and turn it into something funny.

      @Shaun Brehm Having driven it bone stock and built up like this, I can tell you that it really is way comfy - way more than even a 4-door JL!
