Looks yummy, simple and Mounds is my favorite candy. Thank you so much for posting this recipe and how to video. There are a few little shortcuts you could do to make this process quicker, if possible. First, you could use a dasher to make forming the bars easier and more uniform in size; next, if you do this recipe a lot you could buy a silicone mold to make the bars. Finally, melting the chocolate would go by so much quicker if you used a serrated knife to cut up the planks of melting chocolate. I am definitely getting the ingredients today to try this.
Thank you so much for watching Mardi....Yes your right... I used what I had on hand....but yes making the bars more uniform is better. I did go get a silicone mold since I make them quite often... Thanks again for watching and giving this recipe a try, Mounds is my favorite too! ENJOY!
Perfect! I’m trying to learn some new candies to make for Easter this year. I’m going to try this. Thank you for teaching me something new! I make cooking videos too! It’s a pleasure to learn from other talented creators like you! I hope we can learn more from each other!
Those look too good for words! Cheryl! Mounds bars have been my favorite candy bar since my 20s. These actually look better than the commercial candy bars! Thanks for sharing the recipe!
Juanelo1946 Thanks,LOL.....I love mounds bars too, coconut is one of my favorites :) Thanks for watching and your wonderful comments too :) Enjoy your day!

linda biron Thanks for watching.....it’s just melting chocolate candy milk chocolate I hope this helps you. Let me know how you liked this recipe. Enjoy!
Mounds was my favorite candy bar when I was a kid because they were dark chocolate. These still look yummy but, you're using what looks like milk chocolate and that's what they used for Almond Joys. So I guess these are Almond Joy/Mounds Hybrids. Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't.
Thanks for watching...... The milk Chocolate was awesome on these mounds...I love dark chocolate ,didn't have it at the time but that would be tasty too!! These mounds are so good,Mounds was my favorite too. I guess I felt like a nut that day...LOL..... Wishing you a beautiful day!
@@CherylKCherylsHomeCookingshow I made some this weekend and didn't have to patience to form them into the mounds shape so I just made little balls. They were tasty. Thanks for the recipe.
Try spreading the mixture in a foil lined sheet in one layer freeze till it will hold together. Then take a bench scrapper or pizza cutter and cut them into the size you want. Then freeze for 1/2 hr. Then dip. Much faster with no mess
Thanks for watching, no sorry ,I didn't put the temp of the chocolate down, As long as the chocolate is melted and mixed well it should be fine.... you don't want to over melt it. I hope this helps you. You have a blessed day!
+Brandi Munson Thanks for watching.... I only put them in the fridge to help harden the chocolate around the coconut, otherwise I left them out...they all went in one day.... I gave some to my neighbors and friends to try.. They loved them! Thank you again for watching and trying this recipe. Have a great day Brandi
Thanks for watching....Its a total of 4 Squares....BUT each square has 2 little squares on them....which would make a total of 8....I show the amount in the video....You can see I say 4....That is how my chocolate came....in squares.... I hope this helps you.... Let me know how you liked this recipe. Have a blessed day!
Thanks for watching Sandra.... I used a good baking chocolate.....I don't see why you couldn't use semi morsels.. Thanks for giving this recipe a try! Let me know how you liked them...ENJOY!
Thanks for watching....If you're looking for a lot of chocolate flavor, you'll want to use a prepared chocolate with a high percentage of cacoa (80%+) Baker's chocolate is just a brand of chocolate -- they make unsweetened, semisweet, bittersweet, white, etc. Usually when people call for "Baker's chocolate" in a recipe they're referring to the unsweetened kind, but not always. In general, what is traditionally known as baking chocolate is unsweetened or very lightly sweetened while chocolate for eating is sweetened. I hope this helped you.
The crisp crunching sound of the chocolate @10:33 made my mouth water 🤤. Checked the pantry, no chocolate 🤦🏽♀️. Off to the shops, then my evening begins. 👍🏼
@@CherylKCherylsHomeCookingshow Oh Cheryl, I made a huge mess of this recipe. I just couldn't get the coconut and cream mixture to set in the freezer, left it for 24 hours still sloppy. I drizzled the chocolate over the bars instead of dipping the bars, still lovely but you would've been very disappointed at the sight of them 🤦🏽♀️. Will try again 👍🏼

Sheryl, I really did not enjoy the long intro. I am sure we all want to get to the crunch of things, but I like your recipes, by the way you could edit them and cut out the basic, simple and repetitive stuff, and make them shorter? please?
Sorry you misunderstood...the 14 oz. can, which it states it on the can..... when I poured it in my cup it came to the 8 oz. measure on my cup which equals to ME 1 cup...so the can isn't really 14 oz. If you look in the video closely you can see the measurement in the cup......Thanks for watching and I wish you well

What's the diffrence between bakers chocolate and candy chocolate

Great recioe. But that. Usic at the beginning is very irritating - makes a person want tp turn off the video.
Thank you for watching J Chow....Wishing you a beautiful day!
I think the 14oz can of sweetened condensed milk is more like 1-2/3 cups.

Intro way too long

the minute you said 14 ounces equals one cup, I stopped watching. You have to know your measurements.
Sorry you misunderstood...the 14 oz. can, which it states it on the can..... when I poured it in my cup it came to the 8 oz. measure on my cup which equals to ME 1 cup...so the can isn't really 14 oz. Psst - I think the 14 ounce can might be by weight...
The 14 oz is weight. If you have a kitchen scale you can weigh it yourself. Try weighing a cup of flour. It won’t be 8 oz.
