After 5 hours of testing and retesting all wires and connections...I figured out the positive side speaker wire wasnt making a good connection. 5 minutes later my neighbors know my subs are working now :)
Green power light flashes won't remain lit, not getting much sound (on any volume level )only on the really low notes, will vibrate a little ...any suggestions...ground, power, remote wires all correctly wired?
i have 2 digital design speakers that i had in closet for about 2 years which were working when i took them off the car i had and now im hooking them up and they have no sound....i connect my old hollywood xcursion all seems to be connected correct..but my dd dont do nothing coils arent stuck and they dont smell burnt
Hi. I hooked up my system everything's fine except for I try to use the RCA from hid TV looking like does that work???.. no no sound from the sub is fine??. Could you be the cord from the HDMI.. it was for tv.. 🤔
In pretty sure my amp is probably dead but just to make sure. When i turn up the volume and the sensitivity knob on the amp, you can sorta hear the woofer. I opened up the amp the capacitors do have a very small bulge to them but is super hard to notice. What can can cause this problem. I really want to fix this amp. Please help
I bought a truck with subs and was working just fine. Then I changed the deck and the quit working. I also checked the fuse next to the battery as well as the fuses on the amp with my multi meter and there all working. Can changing the deck make the amp crap out?
So mine is wired right I assume I've had my set up all hooked up for 1 year no issue then outta no where my subs only work when in in accessory mode but as soon as my car is on it doesnt
I have a issue just put a shallow l7 in my truck in less then a month it has a dead spot. Intermediate sound output. I push on the sub and the sound comes back on . And it doesn't like low volume now
I have 2 12 inch boss speakers and they are brand new and one just stop working but is not blown but the other is working just good what is the problem help me please.
Hey man my amp plays one sub unless I push in the gain, after that both play great. Idk if I need a new amp or if this is my fault but my amp is running with a nail wedged in the gain knob
Hey i got a quick question. My amp is getting power, LED is on. And voltage going into amp is good. However no sound from subs. If I crank the volume they work flawless, and once i turn volume back down they work for about 10 minutes. Than nothing....ive tried multiple settings with the Hz and all result into the same issue. Not sure wtf could be wrong?
So the only thing connecting my 212 to my amp are the speaker wires I don't know where the fuse is I checked everything I feel like it has to do with the converter with RCA jacks but I'm still getting music out of my back speakers what should I do next I feel like it is the converter wiring and I also think this because the only connection to the speakers is to the amp in the amp goes to the RCA jacks which are connected to that which is the only thing that Stein in the speakers to get the music correct do you think it's a wire somewhere
So I checked my fuses, my wiring, and everything was perfect, checked with a voltmeter and I was getting plenty of power, and I truly had faith my JL amp hadn't died on me, now after a week of troubleshooting I just started messing with everything unplugging and replugging it all and flipping all the switches on my amp and turning the knobs, one week later I flip my bass boost off and bam the subs kick back on, flip back it back on and they're still working and haven't had a problem since only a few hours in so far though, very odd if you ask me. Any idea why this was?
same.. subs worked great for a week then stopped working.. then 3 days later the worked for 2 weeks and now they dont again... amp is showing its on and not in protect mode.. checked all my wires, and fuses, everything looks great... do u think it could be my amp taking a shit or the rca to speaker converter box??? i opened the rca converter box and it seemed fine so im fucking lost
My subs were working and then stopped mid song. I assumed fuse was bad so I changed it. Now the subs won't work and everytime the bass is supposed to drop all my lights dim super low but no sound. Thoughts?
My amp is about 20 years old and was still working fine til about 2 weeks ago. I had a bunch of stuff in my trunk, so I actually didn't turn them on for about 2 weeks. Try to turn them back on, and I get no sound now all of a sudden. Only thing I could think of was that I did jumpstart a pretty big car with my small car, so maybe I blew a fuse. Fuse looked fine, but I had a spare and tried it based on your video, and still not getting sound. Amp turns on, light turns on. I haven't changed anything since 2 weeks ago, or played it. I tried running an AUX RCA cable to my phone and it didn't work either. So I don't think it's my RCA cable, which is in pretty worn condition. If I have to get another amp, I will regretfully get one, but just seems weird that it would go bad without even being used. Like I didn't even turn on the radio for a couple of weeks.
I hope you respond with some feedback, I have 2 kenwood subs bridged to a 1,200.00 old school fosgate amp, I recently paid for the subs and amp and I paid him for installation. I noticed today the right subwoofer is working and it bumping more then the left sub, when you pull out the rc jacks from the amp put them in one at time the sub that's working good continues and it looks to be that maybe its not working at all the movement is just from the air and the one that's working in box. Do you think it could be amp issue or voice coils are no good?:I am not even sure if it has ever worked. I didn't pay attention to the subs after they were installed I figured they both are working. I'm thinking it could be wiring issue in the box, he bridged the wires in the box and bi passed the speaker cap on the left side of the box. I'm trying to get this isolated so to speak so I know what am dealing with. I'm not even watching adult movies because this a state emergency and I can't just let it stay this way I owe to the artists that I play am playing them thru 2 subs, Having just one sub woofer doesn't make sense. Having just one wife is ok but having 2 woman at the same time is like having to subs. So I will be consumed with sub issue it's going to effect my correspondence to escorts being able to a lover and best friend was a priority until adult friend finder made me a basic customer because I didn't have the money to re new my membership.so I need help I can't play electric kingdom or even fit in my parachute pants from chess king.
recently installed 2 15 kicker comp cs came with a 4000 watt rockville amp and a rockvillewiring kit i can barely turn the input with out blowing a fuse does anyone have and advice on why they keep blowing am i i just trying to get to much power out of them?
you also forgot, your amps low pass filter or other filters, might be already sitting in a position that is filtering out most, if not all of the frequencies coming into your amp, that are meant to be sent to your subwoofer. have your amps gain about 1/4 and your decks volume at about 50% and put your filters in roughly 12 o'clock and fiddle around with the filters and that could very well fix the problem
Bro lol I said fuck this channel they don't know how to get my shit running. It hurt saying that since they are pretty dam decent. Just started turning shit and I'm up and running good shit my dude. Ur appreciated!!! 😅
So basically I have dual 12" subs and I let my sister borrow my car for about two months (long story) and my subs are really quiet compared to what they used to be, did she blow them out?
i have a jensen international A- 82 car amp and what its doing is that the amp turns on and no sound kicks on the first time and every time. if i turn the switch off and on, on the my pwr supply for a few seconds then the sound will kick on. here are the wire wires on the amp yellow battery. source ground black with white stripe. power ground solid black. whats the difference between those 2 wires. blue wire auto sensor. what else do i do to fix this please let me know thanx and good day

After the car is running for a couple mintues I lose sound. Light is green on the amp not in protection. But if you turn off the engine to acc after a couple seconds the sub come into it and work fine.
I just bought a brand new amp and 12 in dvc sub for my truck and installed everything correctly but when ever I turn my truck on the amp goes into protection mode instantly. I have used my multimeter to check the power at the amp and it's only getting 9v I have no idea how to fix
I have two kicker comp R 12s. Had hooked up but only one is giving output and the other no sound. Can anyone help me before I end up buying a new set up
My 12" subs work and boom to the beat but its very quiet and I know they have more potential than that. My controller is set to max and my bass boost is on, and I still get kinda quiet bass. What could be the problem
My bass knob stoped working. I have a y connecter in the back of my head unit. I only have one connected because if i hook both of them up the bass wont play
both my amps worked when I pulled them out 2 days ago and I put in ofc and threw away the cca and my grounds are good, crimps are solid, have plenty of power but can't get sound out of my 4chan I got 1 speaker to work for a split second but I can't get my woofer amp to turn on either. and my first 4chan amp went in protect and I'm wired up 100% on the amp and even checked speaker connection and I've swapped all rcas 2ce now So idk next swap my CD player and see if that'll help
I used the Voltage meter and everything is good. I re wired the subs within the box while it was on its back. Before I connected everything back, I connected the speaker wire to a loose speaker to see it it works.Got it to work. Screwed the Sub back. When I stood it up, it stopped working again. I tried to put the speaker wires to the loose speaker and that didn't work. How do i check the speaker outlets? I am at a lost now on why the speaker or Sub will not work? Please Advise? 10" Alpine Type S Alpine MRP-M500 Amp.
How do i replace my blue power light on amp....everything works perfect. Great base and sound but yesterday my blue power light will not turn on even though amp is definitely powered on and no other lights are on. Including protect. Just damn blue power light not ON? Please help

I adjusted everything checked everything and everything is okay. the next morning my fuse was melted and I had no bass.I took my truck to a professional audio shop in the guy said my subwoofer is no good.they Are covered under two-year warranty so I ship them back.when I remove them from my truck I noticed a burnt black round circle underneath where the subwoofers were sitting.... I don't know if this has anything to do with my issue but just throwing it out there.... I bought me a new amp in a new subwoofer hoping to rule out a problem and I'm still having the same problem with my vehicle...everything turns on it has volts my RCA cables are working plus the settings on my head unit are set for a working subwoofer. But I still do not get the power output the amplifier thump AKa the bass I have no bass like if I have no subs at all...idk can someone please help me????
My speakers are hooked up to my factory radio, wires are connected correctly, converter is hooked and grounded correctly. I had sound and music from the factory speakers and woofers...but now I'm not getting any sound from any speaker, factory or woofer, what can that be?
My sub is 1200 rms and im trying to push it with a 80rms amp well my friends amp to make sure they work i push the subs in no sounds out no sounds but no power im sure a 600 watt 80rms should atleast push one sub but no nothing and then he puts its on his little 10 inch dual sub and it works but its only like 500watts im sure the rms is like 100 big difference in power would that not cause my speaker to not budge considering its such a weak amp or something
Okay, all good points. I have a voltmeter and tone and probe, I've traced all the way back to the amp, have output to the aux, amp is getting 14vts lights are all on, checked output and getting sound, but it's super soft, could this be the amp fading out slowly? In my experience they work or they don't. I'm stumped!
My subs are making a rumbling sound when amp turns on.i unplugged all rcas and still does it.i have a switch to turn on amp cuz the deck has no remote wire.noise starts few seconds after amp is on.amp is out the box
Damn ,I'm lost.. I had my music on and the sub's just cut off... All the other speakers are working fine. It's like I cut the subs off and everything else works and the features for the system works but my 2 JL 12's not doing anything. I have 2 JL Audio amps 300 and 600. I don't know much about hooking up music but now is the time to learn. I dont know where to began or what fuses to checkout. Man down I need some help or words of advice from someone that know's. I really would appreciate it.
HELP!!!! ok brand new BOSS 4000ampmax everything is on powered up. 2 12" kickers 2000ampmax. when I connect the amp to ground and positive cord to battery both speakers thump once till I remove the +cord then they thump once again, NO SOUND OR BASS. could the kickers be more powerful then the amp and that's why I'm only getting a intial thump going on and coming off? if so what amp do you recommend for the 2000wattmax kickers? for right now 2/7/20 I'm running off factory Sirius radio in my 2013 dodge challenger rt. I've also got the PAC LP7-R2 LOC connected as well but the light never came on so I tried directly hooking it up again nothing came out. anyways thank you in advance. and yes I've checked all of the above mentioned, well my dad did. hes stumped as well. in saying the same thing I thought maybe the speakers are to powerful for the amp, to which i might've answered my own question. just wanting to confirm. agian ty
Professional curiosity here... what if my amp for my door speakers works fine, even with both sets of rca's, even with that signal routed through my sub amp, so i know the amp is on(lights up/passes signal, but won't output sound from either channel. I have a dvc sub wired in parallel @1 ohm. I was wondering if one of the voice coils could have "snapped" when i moved it from my trunk while i was fixing a ground loop problem. Door speakers sound amazing. Ended up having to ground the headunit to its case, but even without that simple ground fix the sub makes no noise. Seriously PO'd about this problem so the only thing i can think of is that my amp is crapped out but I don't know why. I've had it for about 2 years, its a hifonics 1000.D gladiator i believe
Hi i have 2 12 inch kickers, the problem i got is the sub woofers make a sound like heart beat every 1 or 2 seconds, i turn off the radio or low down the volume the woofers still do that, you know what it is? Thanks!!

hi i don't get sound out of my radio i tested it rica is new and why is this could this be the fuse on the radio or no the radio works fine just not sound out of the amp all the speakers work but the subs
I have a question. I unplugged my battery to do my starter and hooked it back up but my back speakers no longer have song but have a lot of bass coming out of them. Whats going on?
you dont need a frequency generator, any pc, smartphone or tablet can generate all the frequencies needed in audio. just use a frequency generator app or somthing online. and hook up your device to your amp..
Why would my sub be making a very loud sound when my car is running and when the amp gets a bit hot it starts going louder and louder. Ive checked the fused the wires the fuse to the amp. Nothing has worked. I do not have a capacitor because I am not running anything very big.
I had 2 subwoofers 12 inch sony xplod they both stop working they got burnt .... so I just got a 1300 watt sub (pioneer) and now there is no sound everything is connected good do you think the amp went out? The light that indicates its on is on so idk

I just got a second amp and a sub woofer professionally installed in my vehicle, and the sub was working great for 2 days, no problem, i never touched the bass boost or gain. Just yesterday it stopped working and worked again after i got back in my truck after about 2 and half hours, but then i got in this morning and no sound from my sub woofer since this morning. Very aggravated because it just happened out of no where!! Please help, thanks!

I am having the same problem. I have a L5 and it won't work. It worked before I went to visit my cousin and on the way home it just went out. It's not blown, I wasn't blaring my music or anything. It just went out. So I got new speaker wire and installed it but still no sound. Here's the kicker though... I connected my 12" CVR with the same set up and everything and it worked just fine! Please help!!!
why does my 10" sub play inwards instead of pushing out? i checked the poles and they are correct? evrything else seems fine.....what advice can u give?
Your subs are out of phase. Make sure your positive and negative speaker wire are connected correctly to the positive and negative terminals on the amp and sub.
Current spec. 2x Skar vd 12 subs dual 2ohm 500rms each Rockville db14 4000watt AMP So i upgraded my amp and sub from boss 1100watt amp, MTX terminater sub to the current one listed. For some reason my old set up is alot louder and i cant find any solution. Would there be any reason on why my new set up is not as loud?? even though its a much better set up?

Pioneer DEH-1900UBB Car Audio. I am using 2x Sony stereo speaker's 100W When i give the signal audio from my phone everything works fine. But from the audio car output i got only bad bass sound . Is the RCA filter my solution? Or i have to use output converter from the car audio lines? Also i tried another JVC car audio and i got the same problem ... I know there is Incompatibility between the audio outputs and the amp .. So what can i do please? And i will be thankful if you help me ♡

Recently my subwoofers stopped working. I visually inspected it and checked impedance of both coils and they both were around 2.1 ohms which is good for 2 ohm voice coils right? No signs of anything blown or broken. It even passes 9volt battery test. I think I narrowed it down to bad rca ports on my amp but if I plug my phone headphone jack to rca on amp playing music I can get sound out of my sub. But head unit nothing! Just bought brand new head unit trying to troubleshoot this problem and rca preouts test good. Any ideas I'm stumped
After 5 hours of testing and retesting all wires and connections...I figured out the positive side speaker wire wasnt making a good connection. 5 minutes later my neighbors know my subs are working now :)

Hi. I hooked up my system everything's fine except for I try to use the RCA from hid TV looking like does that work???.. no no sound from the sub is fine??. Could you be the cord from the HDMI.. it was for tv.. 🤔
Can the amps run off the aux battery? The man that hook up my music hook it to aux battery
Please help
ust a cheap harbor freight meter works for this. You dont have to go out and but a $500 fluke 87-v fyi, for those who don't know
I bought a truck with subs and was working just fine. Then I changed the deck and the quit working. I also checked the fuse next to the battery as well as the fuses on the amp with my multi meter and there all working. Can changing the deck make the amp crap out?
So mine is wired right I assume I've had my set up all hooked up for 1 year no issue then outta no where my subs only work when in in accessory mode but as soon as my car is on it doesnt
with a 3.5mm to rca you can use a phone or ipod to send signal straight to the amp. cheap alternative to a signal generator for checking an amp.
And if that doesn't work? Bad amp?
Thank you! Great tip!
I have a issue just put a shallow l7 in my truck in less then a month it has a dead spot. Intermediate sound output. I push on the sub and the sound comes back on . And it doesn't like low volume now
Thank you how about my Linkdq Loc clip Led light do not turn on green?

Hey man my amp plays one sub unless I push in the gain, after that both play great. Idk if I need a new amp or if this is my fault but my amp is running with a nail wedged in the gain knob
My sub has been wired for months no issues, my sub is an enclosed sub with amp and it’s on and working but the remote is not on to control the level
Have you tried replacing the inductors inside the amp
So the only thing connecting my 212 to my amp are the speaker wires I don't know where the fuse is I checked everything I feel like it has to do with the converter with RCA jacks but I'm still getting music out of my back speakers what should I do next I feel like it is the converter wiring and I also think this because the only connection to the speakers is to the amp in the amp goes to the RCA jacks which are connected to that which is the only thing that Stein in the speakers to get the music correct do you think it's a wire somewhere
How many Volts should be coming from your fuse to your AMP to know it's a good connection and their's no wiring or fuse issue?
The same as your battery. 12.7 ish when car is off and 14 ish when on
So I checked my fuses, my wiring, and everything was perfect, checked with a voltmeter and I was getting plenty of power, and I truly had faith my JL amp hadn't died on me, now after a week of troubleshooting I just started messing with everything unplugging and replugging it all and flipping all the switches on my amp and turning the knobs, one week later I flip my bass boost off and bam the subs kick back on, flip back it back on and they're still working and haven't had a problem since only a few hours in so far though, very odd if you ask me.
Any luck on the fix?
My subs were working and then stopped mid song. I assumed fuse was bad so I changed it. Now the subs won't work and everytime the bass is supposed to drop all my lights dim super low but no sound. Thoughts?
My amp is about 20 years old and was still working fine til about 2 weeks ago. I had a bunch of stuff in my trunk, so I actually didn't turn them on for about 2 weeks.

I used the Voltage meter and everything is good. I re wired the subs within the box while it was on its back. Before I connected everything back, I connected the speaker wire to a loose speaker to see it it works.Got it to work. Screwed the Sub back. When I stood it up, it stopped working again. I tried to put the speaker wires to the loose speaker and that didn't work. How do i check the speaker outlets? I am at a lost now on why the speaker or Sub will not work?
Please Advise?

Subwoofer does not work while bluetooth is connected. It does work while tuner is on. Can you possibly shed some insight on this problem?
Okay, all good points. I have a voltmeter and tone and probe, I've traced all the way back to the amp, have output to the aux, amp is getting 14vts lights are all on, checked output and getting sound, but it's super soft, could this be the amp fading out slowly? In my experience they work or they don't. I'm stumped!

I've also got the PAC LP7-R2 LOC connected as well but the light never came on so I tried directly hooking it up again nothing came out. anyways thank you in advance. and yes I've checked all of the above mentioned, well my dad did. hes stumped as well. in saying the same thing I thought maybe the speakers are to powerful for the amp, to which i might've answered my own question. just wanting to confirm. agian ty
I have a 1000 Watts California mono block amp that comes on but when I hook the speakers up there’s a humming sound coming through thespeakers
Thanks!!

hy,I have a doubt ,in a room (small) where to place the sub woofer(in floor or above) and 5 satellite speakers.??
you dont need a frequency generator, any pc, smartphone or tablet can generate all the frequencies needed in audio. just use a frequency generator app or somthing online. and hook up your device to your amp..
Why would my sub be making a very loud sound when my car is running and when the amp gets a bit hot it starts going louder and louder. Ive checked the fused the wires the fuse to the amp. Nothing has worked. I do not have a capacitor because I am not running anything very big.

I am having the same problem. I have a L5 and it won't work. It worked before I went to visit my cousin and on the way home it just went out. It's not blown, I wasn't blaring my music or anything. Your subs are out of phase. Make sure your positive and negative speaker wire are connected correctly to the positive and negative terminals on the amp and sub.

So i upgraded my amp and sub from boss 1100watt amp, MTX terminater sub to the current one listed.
For some reason my old set up is alot louder and i cant find any solution. Would there be any reason on why my new set up is not as loud?? even though its a much better set up?

Hi,
I have a question please.
I have no much idea about installing car audio system ... but i tried and i got only bad bass sound .
So here what i have ...
AUNA amp 6000W (600RMS) 6 channel.
Pioneer DEH-1900UBB Car Audio.
I am using 2x Sony stereo speaker's 100W
When i give the signal audio from my phone everything works fine.
