Hey man, cool video... but just FYI, Power Antenna (blue) and Remote (blue white) are both just 12v outputs. If your radio harness doesn't have one or the other, it would be preferable to hook both the vehicle harnesses blue & blue white to the radios single blue wire. The only difference from what you recommend here is that the red, 12v acc, is an input to the radio. So if the fuse blew on the radio, the amp would still get power, and that is not ideal.

Either speaker grounded or factory amp failer....pull radio out get a test speaker and hook it up directly on the radio and see if you have sound....if you do then bad amp if not cut the ground on each speaker wire at the radio and see if sound comes on if it does then its a speaker ground short.

The Axxess LC-GMRC-01 adapter kit we used didn't say anything about needing to power the the blue/white wire, but in reviewing the car's pin diagram, sure enough this controlled the car amplifier. Just bought a new Boss dbl din radio for my 2010 Nissan Frontier, your blue wire with white stripe to red wire, oem red and aftermarket red still doesn't give sound. Checked if I might have blown a speaker too, but they seemed fine when I opened up my door panels. Also, the ground wire from my radio's harness is kind of weird too... I have it wrapped around a grounded bolt. I've gotten sound once before but only out of left side front and back and I think it was because of the ground wire, blue/white wire wasnt connected to anything either. Haven't gotten sound ever since that one occurance... My problem could just be that I don't know where to connect the ground wire. Either way, I'm stumped and really don't want to have to bring the truck to some shop to have it done, any suggestions??

My man, 4 hours. 4 f*ckin hours I've been searching for this solution! I knew the problem was due to my factory amp but for some reason just hooking the factory power amp wire to a relay power cable never once crossed my mind. YOU SIR ARE A FUCKIN GOD
On a side note: if you're married or dating then you tell you significant other to give you some dome bc you earned that shit. You can tell her/him (2020 who knows anymore) Aaron Cupp said so damn it!

So I have a 02 Chevy Avalanche and I was having the same issue were I wasn’t getting sound through my door speakers, but my sub would still play. I have the sub on an amp but the door speakers are not on a amp yet. When I did what you showed in your video it didn’t change anything but make the headunit and the amp stay on. I also connected the remote wire I have for the sub amp into those connections. Do you know why it isn’t working still and is leaving the headunit and amp on?

    I have a question
If your trying to hook up a sound system how would you connect the blue wire that comes from the amplifier if you already have your blue wire with white striped connected with the red ones

This video is the best and most simple that Ive seen on line. Being a female, Im gonna attempt to install a new stereo in my 02 Jeep Wrangler. Ive has this Stereo forever but couldnt figure out the amp issue, watched many videos and still couldnt get it. Your video was simple and allowed me to finally hook up a much needed radio. Thanks so much, I see this was done 2 years or so ago. But am still wondering why the hookup yo the sub has 4 wires on it, and thats coming out the harness, if your still on here, hope you can answer this for me. Next venture with my Jeep, is all new speakers and sub etc etc.... anyway, thanks and video was perfect.

Hooked up wire B3 (pink wire) from the head unit ~900mV to the Antenna Output (blue wire) on the radio now the sound works!
    Thanks alot!
edit: pink wire is "Radio on signal or Antenna Enable Signal"

I was getting 50% success with having sound on my C6 with the PAC interface. Strangely if I opened the door when it didn't work, it would immediately start working. I tried this solution and so far a dozen startups and it's working every single time.

I'm currently having this exact issue with an audi. I have the blue and white wire coming out of the head unit, which when I connect to the blue wire coming out of the harness which is wired to the amp there I'd no sound so I'm guessing it's not turning the amp on. Should I connect the blue wire from the harness to the red wire from the harness and totally leave out the blue and white one from the stereo. Thanyou

Man I have this same problem in my 98 mustang. I have a standard audio system, so it’s not a Mach 460, and have no sound as well. Do you think that this could be an issue for this vehicle as well? It also comes with a factory amp installed.
