Thank you for your slow pace and your exact steps and necessary details!!! Some of us dont even know what a model is! It is the plane. Most people skip around and leave us lost. Really appreciate all your details and not going too far with something we do not need, like others do. THANK YOU !!
This is perfect video when you want to learn the basics of EdgeTX. I was long time Spektrum user ( more than 5 years ), and just now I am converting to EdgeTX and I was scared that it will take ages to do basic things. After watching this video - I have answered like 90% of all my questions. Thank You!
Hey John, Your videos are awesome! Thanks so much. Here's a tip for Timer reset if no one already mentioned it. Setup an edge activated logical switch. Your mechanical switch triggers the logical switch. That way even if you leave the switch in the reset position, it will not stop the timer. It acts like a momentary switch.
Great tutorial, thanks! I just purchased a tx16s with 2.7 on it. It works (on a bench) with my old Hitec receivers. I did run into a small issue trying to setup a dual servo aileron rig. Set up T5 exactly like T1, make sure the name is the same and it's case sensitive. I had named it AIL instead of Ail. Now for the wind to stop....
Big relief!! I'm not up to speed on computers, even so, to push the limits, I finally switched over to Edge. TBH, I was scared sh..less that I was going to ,and did brick my radio, or severely impacted operation. Nothing showed up on my screen, even after I created a model accidentally. I was able to bind my quad to the radio, but I couldn't tell which model was on screen, cause it never changed. I was bummed. got up in the morning and saw this video, and thought , what the hay, maybe I missed something. It was filling widgets, so the model would show on screen when selected. What a relief!! I didn't brick radio, and I am so thankful you made this video. I'll have to relearn this radio. Stuff like the servo reversing, which you could do on the Open Tx by clicking on direction arrow. I'm a retired Vet, and I took up FPV to keep myself computer literate, and sharp. Couldn't do it without guys like you making video content. Wish I could be a patron for all you guys. Kind of a reverse thanks for your service is all I can do today, just know it's greatly appreciated, and you made my day!
Truly the best video currently on the net. I live on a small island in France opposite La Rochelle (Ile de Ré). It is certainly a very good radio but "quite" complex at start-up. So thank you again for your invaluable help. Sorry, I don't speak English very well!!! Have a good year
I'm not ready to switch from OpenTX to EdgeTX yet. But I'm saving this video for later. I will give EdgeTX another year or so to be fully developed. John, big thanks for making these videos. I'm glad I found your channel before RUclips removed the dislike count. It's getting harder and harder to find decent tutorial videos nowadays.
@@enzok6414 said the guy who doesnt use his! But seriously. Its incredible how much easier and faster navigating the radio is with touchscreen. Just backup and switch dude. Its not that hard. You can always flash back to OpenTX and restore your SDCard... but you won't regret trying EdgeTX its amazing
Nice video! I will use global functions from now on. It's quite nice to reset the timers on the same switch that disables the throttle, works well for me.
Hi John and thank you. Question: I recently installed edgetx2.8 on my TX16S, but i have not used any open tx b4. I have been getting low rf alarms on my dsmx receivers (AR620 & AR610) can you suggest a reason for this? I have range checked the both and they failed. An older dsm2 receiver passed a range check.
I'd like to see how to bind and set up small RTF planes like Night Vapor, or the Sport Cub S 2 RTF with SAFE, and how to access the 3 flight modes for the gyro and the Panic switch.
Thanks for the comment. I don't use Spektrum gear though so I won't be much help with HH products outside of a couple of planes. However, if you pop in on our discord you'll find plenty of folks who know how to use Spektrum.
Thanks for all your how-to videos. I'm switching all of my fixed wings over to ExpressLRS as I have time. EdgeTX and ELRS are so much easier and less expensive. Spektrum is okay, but not great, plus it's really expensive.
Hey brother this is great! So informative and detailed. I had no clue as to what Global functions were and now I am one.. I've learned more from you in the past 3 days than I haveI have in the past 3 months... Keep up the good work pal...
Missed this live, but your vids are really clear and very informative. e.g. I never saw much use for GV's after I read this: "Global" means that global variables can be used to set pages for the entire model, but not for all models. Each model has its own set of global variables." That's from page 50 of the Radiomaster TX16S User Manual. So, thanks for setting me straight - I'll be using GV's now.
Be careful not to mix up Global Functions and Global Variables. Global Functions are set in the radio settings and apply to all models. Global Variables are set in Model settings and are usable throughout the model configuration but values set in Global Variables do not affect other models.
Wow, I really like that instant trim feature. I'm all Spektrum right now, but I believe these transmitters are compatible. With EdgeTX, I'm out of excuses for not switching out my DX8. This is a very good video, thanks!
After an almost complete day of messing with this thing, it finally binds and flies (Turbo Timber Evo). Setup 3 different preset modes with 50,70 and 100% power. Also setup a kill switch for the throttle as well and imported an image of my plane. Got the widgets setup how I like. Now I need help with a reverse motor switch (reverse thrust) and a light switch, so the lights are not always on. Manual states channel 7 for the lights, but I can't seem to get it to work. I'm lost on the reverse motor setup...Help lol I've definitely contributed 5 hrs to your videos today. :)
Loved it, thanks for doing these videos. I am new to Edge Tx, come from using Spektrum, I am enjoying the new learning and the customisability of the Radiomaster Tx.
Thanks , very useful for beginners as i am, receiving the T16s soon, i make my brain ready to switch to Edge TX. Good explanations, good recap, perfect ...
AWESOME video! The best for a new guy, just got my MKII and created (Used my Nano Talon setup from my Taranis Open Tx) from binding my L9R, to global function, two timers, everything, thanks so much for your videos!
Another video with excellent production standards. Thanks, John, for all the time & care you put into ALL your videos, the editing, and all of it. I'm the same way, 'detail oriented,' so I notice all the little things. I imagine it has taken you awhile to accumulate all the little things that you use, the A/B shots, the custom transitions, (love the "woosh " sound effect as the little plane goes by--did you draw all those things yourself? I know you did!), and the charts and diagrams...with all the circles & arrows, and everything.... (Yes, John, that was a little nod to Arlo Guthrie, who always comes to mind when I mention things like photos, and charts & diagrams (...with all the circles & arrows & everything...Sorry, got caught in a loop there!)). All those details really make a difference, and since they're bespoke, they all contribute to your style and Brand. As I know you know. ( You probably invented "Branding.") Awesome work. Flawless. Good job! Keep on! 👍
Great content I just got my new TX16S mark 2 Max I come from tyrannis and open TX but it's still a battle learning all the screens and how to get there Thanks for a great video it helped me immensely subscribe and watch everything you put out I'm sure I'll have a few questions for you thanks for all your hard work Matt
We had Insta Trim on the first computer radio, the ACE R/C Micropro 8000. It was my first computer radio, saved for a year to by that back in '86, should never have sold it but I burnt the main board, opps. It had many things that EdgeTX/OpenTX has.
Not up didn't work for my ailerons. I couldn't adjust the weight on the second line. Seemed like the switch changed position on the screen but adjusting weight had no effect on travel.
Brother I need some help. My throttle is working on 90%. It doesn't work on 99% or 98% it always work on 90% I'm a beginner what should I do plz answer me.
John, Another great video Can you show how to setup & mix ailerons & 2 servo elevator for a plane? I can't get it right, I can get one elevator surface to work correctly as an elevon but but not the 2nd one. I'm sure it's has to do with the mixes I doing or not doing. Thanks!
Have you watched my mix videos? ruclips.net/video/iMyvbV2L_Pk/видео.html ruclips.net/video/kEA71RB5UtY/видео.html ruclips.net/video/rcnacDtfs68/видео.html
So, when turning on the Internal RF (what is RF?) is ask for another input (Esky, Esky150, etc.) what is this revering to? The receiver that's in the plane? And if so, what is my Spektrum one is not on there? (AR637T) Would I use DSM or DSM_RX considering its a DSMX? I'm confused. lol
So the inputs are rates of 0-100% and that rate or percentage is how much a flap will be allowed to move when set to a specific switch and that switch is in said position?
love the video i noticed when i reversed the servos the ailron goes full direction one way but not the other what can i do about that and could you do a video on how to setup modes and gains on a switch and pots thanks keep up the awsome work
Reverse doesn't manipulate limits on servo movement, it simply inverts the signal. Something else is going on with that configuration. You might dig into your mixer line for that channel.
how do I add addition inputs that actually show up and function witht he switch i have set for it. I did the outputs the same as well. No name shows up for them as well unlike the first 4 inputs you showed.
Is the servo placement and wiring set up wizard no longer on the radio? I have planes with lots of different control surface mixes, from full 5 ch controls to wings and no tails. The wizard made it nice and easy.
I don't know if they removed the wizard or not, but I hope they did. Sit down with that radio, the RCVR EdgeTX video playlist, and your favorite drink: Learn how to configure that radio without the wizard. You'll be happier for it. Take your medicine!!! :)
i have a extra 300 bnf plane, having a problem with my tx16s MKii. then trottle is all way down and enabe throttle active ,the throttle keeps starting. i deleted the plane and recreated it again over and over, keep having same problem, the throttle keeps coming on while the stick is all way down. also, it came with AR631 Receiver, the only way AS3x comes on is that when i bind it on safe mode. if not bound to safe mode, it wo'nt activate
Pls guide , Before binding my receiver found this , On Module status, said Module update recommended?? I also uploaded new version of edge 2.7 After seeing your video . What's that's mean . Also can bind turnigy 9x8c V2 receiver and HK TRGA V2 Receiver?
New subscriber and new to Radiomaster TX16s and EdgeTx. Thanks for the video helps. Still having issues getting my model pictures to show up but I haven't seen all your videos yet.
great video , pls guide how you change toggle switch ? to left hand side , and throtle cut switch to right hand side ? also , how to make delta wing setting ? how to find my all my model list page ? thanks if you guide
ruclips.net/video/C3OO2poE2aM/видео.html You need to watch my mix videos to learn how to mix ailerons and elevators. ruclips.net/video/U0FmXP1VSmc/видео.html
Thanks for the response on Edgetx conversion. Also, I appreciate the time and effort you must have put in on all these videos. I used the EdgeTX wizard to set up a plane with two separate aileron servos. The output screen shows both ailerons working. Only one works on my plane. Did I miss a step?
Make sure your mixer has two discreet lines using aileron inputs. Those discreet lines will match up to your RX channel numbers. So Aileron 1 = Ch1, Aileron 2 = Ch5 Then put the wire for one aileron on Ch1 on the Rx and the wire for the other aileron on Ch5 on the Rx.
Just a follow up. The input parameters are AETR, but my receiver is labeled TAER> That's where my brain locks LOL. Does it matter to the TX16s, or do I have re-map?
I'm new to rc I have been trying to figure out what to get for a transmitter and after talking to my trainer and watching I'm going to go with a tx16s transmitter
Say boss, do you have a video that explains how to do flaps and gyro on this radio? I'm setting up a Carbon Cub and an Arrow Sabre and I can't figure that out. I thought I had a very plausible setup but it didn't work. Excellent job on these videos, they are how I imagine a college course on this would be.

Great video John thank you for your information I've been flying to rannis with open TX for several years so I'm hoping the new edge won't be too much more difficult Just found your channel And subscribed My big question is going to be how to bind to all my different receivers Videos I've watched on it so far make it look very complicated Would love to see a video on it if you haven't already done it I have spectrum and hitec Fly sky and FR sky receivers Any help would be appreciated
Great video. Made alot of things click for me. Question: does a model switch assignment over ride a global defn or do they both function? I have my momentary switch defn as the Instant Trim now (thanks for the idea). However, on one of my heli's I would like to have it as a panic button and as a RTH on one of my quads. Since the times I would use it as a panic or RTH switch the sticks would be centered (hence no trim changes), would the model function defn also work?
It will do both things. It will set Instant Trim and invoke RTH. On that note, you generally shouldn't be using trim on a quad and I think you'd be playing with fire using it on both. I understand ideally your sticks would be untouched during panic, but if you accidentally had one off center during a panic/rth event you could really be setting yourself up for a disaster. FYI you know you can use T5/T6 as momentary switches right? Just disable them in flight modes.
This is Jerry thank you very much you doing the video I really liked to use egtx But I didn’t know how to program to the plane no I learn I just going to practice thank you you’re the best
In my old JR TX I was able to increase servo throw above 100% travel using the travel adjust and end point screens. I have a gear system that needs slightly more than 100% travel for the servo ie. it needs ~110 degrees of travel. How can I set that up on Edge TX. The system doesn't seem to let me go beyond 100% 'weight' etc. Many thanks.
Hi John, Great video, helping a lot! I am on 2.6 as well, but my tool screen only has 3 items on it. How did you get that whole list of tools on yours???
Stock radios come with a package of tools. I usually wind up deleting more than half of them. i.e. I don't care about Graupner HOTT or FrSky SBEC or FrSky GASuite or DSM Forward Programming. Those are all detritus to me. The others, I usually just go download and install: iNav Lua, TBS Agent Lite, ELRS, FrSky SxR
Do you have a video on how to et up safe on a switch? Just bought a turbo timber evolution and can't get it set up to switch on and off for safe. Im pulling out what hair I have left. Thanks, Al
Sorry, I don't use Spektrum gear. Lots of folks on the RC Video Review discord do though and they know how to set it up. Invite is in description of every video.
I wish i could make a 'global profile' for several quadcopters, but let me override various things on a per-model basis so i can apply changes to several models at once, while still having their unique settings
I usually do something similar to this by creating a model and tweaking it to perfection. Once I like it, I copy it to a template. This works GREAT for things like FPV Fixed Wing, Quads and Helicopters which fully rely on the abstraction layers provided by iNav, Betaflight, and FBL (iKon). In those scenarios, we only talk from radio to computer, so a single template will work for everything. Use the "golden template" as for all new models. Then--of course--you can go into new model files based on the golden template and make adjustments for the particular model you're working with. I do the same thing for airframes with a common stabilizer (S6R). I have an S6R golden template I use for the basis of all fixed wing with S6Rs in them. Very similar to what you describe.
I was wondering why when I add a jpg or png image that it doesn’t show up on my SD card for image ( model), but it does on my laptop? I’ve tried several times to choose a FW450V2 image for my model but can’t get it to show up in my image list, except on my computer? Thanks, appreciate the tutorial on edgetx , just got the Radiomaster TX16s mark 2.
Sir Could you please guide, how to set flaps? Also On model set page , there is section Receiver, No , pls guide about that ,like if I have 4 same receiver for example fly sky, can I assign no 1 , to all four model or give them different no ,like 1 2 3 4?????
ruclips.net/video/boDiKX33dCg/видео.html You can use receiver IDs to prevent the radio from binding to the wrong model. So Airplane 1, Receiver A, Receiver ID 1 will not bind to Airplane 2, Receiver A, Receiver ID 2 but Airplane 2, Receiver A, Receiver ID 1 will bind and you may have the wrong controls for that.
Hi dear thanks for great video , learning from this video . Need small guide line , In my tools page I have only these 3 script Lua model locator by Rssi Lua wizard loader And Multi spectrum INT . I don't have multi chan namer ,and other list of script like in your tools page , What to do ? To name in out put page ?? Also can we use wizard loader to start channels setting , for plane like in open tx version? That's very easy u can set all channels as per your requirement in start of model setting???
Multi Channel Updater is in the MPM LUA Scripts Archive. Select the correct firmware for your radio and it will be in the list of available downloads: downloads.multi-module.org/ Other scripts like TBS Agent Lite, ELRS, FM2M are all individual downloads. If you watch my OpenTX to EdgeTX MASTER CLASS Video, I cover how to get all the scripts: ruclips.net/video/0WnpfE78-KU/видео.html Forget the wizard. The radio will make the first four channels for you without it. The wizard is dated and old and needs to die. It's a crutch. Grit your teeth and learn to program your radio. You'll be glad you did.
That was quite helpful. I tried EdgeTX around 4 months ago and it messed up my Radiomaster pretty bad so I had to redo everything back to OpenTX. It has kind of put a fear in me not to switch yet. Also does the EdgeTX work for flying simulators like RF 9.5 and AccuRC?
Hey John, on the calibration screen down towards the bottom, there is a warning in red that says use 3.3v logic levels. Do you know what this means? Thanks.
Good question. I talked with one of the Edge developers and this is what he told me: This is meant for the logic level of the AUX ports / UART's. Even though on TX16S, the pins used are 5V tolerant, what you get out is 3.3V logic level - e.g. important if hooking up a GPS or FTDI or similar. And the message is at SYSTEM -> HARDWARE page, not related to calibration.
where does all this info on transmitter set up and functions come from as the info in box upon purchase is bad ????? i bought mine and have no end of set up difficulties.feed back from support said return unit .could not get any logical out comes as assigned channels were not the same when model bind takes place
As always, another great video! I'm on the" Edge" (pun intended) about switching from OTX. I had read something about the Model Wizard not being in Edge TX. Is this correct? I kind of liked that function. Also, do you know if a touch screen can be installed in one of the original Jumper T16?
The model wizard exists in Edge, it's in the tools folder, but TBH it's so much easier and faster to do it the way I show in the video. Once you try it and learn it, you'll smack for your forehead for wasting time on the wizard.
@@RCVideoReviews Hi John , great videos great information but I have a question, on my new Radiomaster Edge TX 2.7.1 the wizard only has plane, glider and quad no wing. What am I missing ?
Great video, been watching your stuff for awhile and you helped me quite a bit with this open software coming from futaba and Hitec this is very foreign to me. Question .. is adjusting expo and dual rates on a slider with the curve the same as Opentx ?? I got it to work on opentx but edgetx I'm not getting it to work.
You should be able to adjust weights/expo via slider with GVARS. Not sure about the curve part--expo is a curve. I'll check on my radio, but it should work the same on Edge. To my knowledge that core functionality hasn't been changed.
@@RCVideoReviews ok thanks. I think because I'm using the curve function instead of GV is where I'm going wrong. I some how thought curve works similar to GV when put on a slider so I can adjust throws while flying.
Hi dear, sir Could up guide me , I changed my momentary switch as u advise, from right to left . I also set on galobal function, this momentary switch as trim setting , I want to use this momentary switch on DLG GLIDER as take off , hold and elevator up , so can I remove instant trim setting which did on galobal function for trim auto setting ? Hope u understand my point?
Global Functions apply to all models. Special Functions apply to the current model. If you want to use the switch for different things with different models, remove the Global Function definition and specify Instant Trim as a Special Function for planes that you want to use the switch as Instant Trim and specify Elevator Hold for planes you want to use Elevator Hold.
OOTB I find my radio has a TON of stuff at the root of the SDCARD that I frankly am pretty sure I don't need - But how can I tell what HAS to be there for basic operation? Thanks!
The EdgeTX Github SD card contents for the TX16s are here: github.com/EdgeTX/edgetx-sdcard/tree/master/sdcard/c480x272 That list doesn't include models/radio which are created by the radio iteself.

So Im having a issue that nobody seems to help me out with on Facebook or RCG. Im on Edge 2.5 and works great , how come when I go to version 2.6 my models are missing on the model select but there in my sd card. on 2.5 there a bin file and someone said they will convert to yml once I put 2.6 . How am I suposse to update the firmware if my models dont go with it
Hi :) I have a few questions: first, how can i set the same delay to my elevator to flap mix so that the flaps and the elevator move the same time? Second one is, did you upgrade all your radios to edge tx 2.6? Thanks for the nice content 👍 Best wishes from Germany 🇩🇪
@@RCVideoReviews yes, thanks 😊 But one more question, I'm trying to figure out how I can slow down the flap and the elevator when I deploy these, so that they move together slowly, but it didn't work. Do you have any tips for this? I hope you understand what I mean.
Just received this radio, trying to fly a Striker3. Never had any experience with RC toys. this my first. I expected this to be better equipment's, so better flying with easier learning curve. I am so confused. This is all overwhelming. I feel I might have just have to sell everything, and forget about this hobby! Is it really that complicated to fly a glider?. How did hobbyists fly 40 years ago? Was it that difficult?
You can actually make a model configuration in EdgeTX with 3 button clicks. 40 years ago the radios were much more simple, but that means they were quite limited in what they could do too. You didn't mix on the radio, you mixed mechanically. If you think software setup is tough, try a mechanical mix. In any case, I think you probably need to take a deep breath, don't try to figure it all out in one day. I've made hundreds of these videos and I'm STILL figuring it out. Just start watching some of my more basic videos on OpenTX and EdgeTX (they share the same core functions) and eventually the light will click on and you'll get it. ruclips.net/p/PLy3TC1ILJYTjWBv9HIpj_Eb5yA_W9Neua ruclips.net/p/PLy3TC1ILJYTgH-MMqDYhrCh6Bp65BJzS_ ruclips.net/p/PLy3TC1ILJYTjqDXFB84oXVWZG14zyMYYt

Hey brother this is great! So informative and detailed. I had no clue as to what Global functions were and now I am one.. I've learned more from you in the past 3 days than I haveI have in the past 3 months... Keep up the good work pal...
Awesome, thank you!
You're a hero to the people! Thanks!
Favorite comment of the week :)
@@RCVideoReviews Totally missed that! Thanks again.
Great show, Sad I missed it live. Thanks for doing these videos and sharing your knowledge.
Sure thing Jeff. Thanks.
Wow, I really like that instant trim feature. I'm all Spektrum right now, but I believe these transmitters are compatible. With EdgeTX, I'm out of excuses for not switching out my DX8. This is a very good video, thanks!
The MPM works with DSM, DSM2, DSMX. Glad you found the video helpful.
@@RCVideoReviews Thank you sir!
I sold my dx soon as I picked up my first multi protocol, jumper tx16. You won't go back.
This thing is amazing!!!!! I just flew for the first time in the tx16! Turbo timber umx!!!
Nice!
Very good work, John. Really appreciate it.
Glad you enjoyed it
Loved it, thanks for doing these videos. I am new to Edge Tx, come from using Spektrum, I am enjoying the new learning and the customisability of the Radiomaster Tx.
I so appreciate this as I've been lost like last years Easter egg
Glad to help.
Thank you. Awesome tutorial. Waiting for my TX16S to arrive
You’re welcome. Have fun with your new radio.
Thanks , very useful for beginners as i am, receiving the T16s soon, i make my brain ready to switch to Edge TX. Good explanations, good recap, perfect ...
Glad to help. Thanks for watching.
AWESOME video! The best for a new guy, just got my MKII and created (Used my Nano Talon setup from my Taranis Open Tx) from binding my L9R, to global function, two timers, everything, thanks so much for your videos!
Glad to help. You're welcome.
( You probably invented "Branding.")
Awesome work. Flawless. Good job!
Keep on! 👍
Thank you :) I'm glad you're finding value in the work. It's nice to be appreciated. Thanks.
Excellent video! I did learn something new and yes, it is a much better way of setting up a throttle cutoff (and much safer too)! Thank you!
Great information as usual John. Nice presentation.
Appreciate the note Dave. Thank you.
I like the idea of a momentary switch for timer reset. But I cannot find the trim switches as options.....
Big thanks a lot for these high quality video tutorials!
You're welcome.
Wow! i so like that, will go to radioMaster from spektrum for next flying season so your videos will be so needed, thanks.
Welcome to the dark side.
Awesome job great training thanks for your efforts🙏🙏
Thanks and welcome
Thanks John this was a great video EdgeTX is definitely the best way to go.
I think it's production ready and has moved ahead of OpenTX in terms of capabilities. So I agree with you.
Thx again John for a great video. Love your global functions.
My pleasure!
17:04 that is a really cool function!
Neat trick eh?
Very well done. I learned so much! Thank you!

great info just got TX16S trying to figure it all out, this helps alot , mine is 2.7 and is different so more to learn
I have a LOT of videos. Take your time. You'll eventually hit a point with EdgeTX where the light clicks on, then you'll be unstoppable.

I like the inverted servo option, much simpler than chasing negative outputs.

awesome video John!!
Thanks!
We had Insta Trim on the first computer radio, the ACE R/C Micropro 8000. It was my first computer radio, saved for a year to by that back in '86, should never have sold it but I burnt the main board, opps. It had many things that EdgeTX/OpenTX has.
Got it! Had an incorrect mix.
Lots of very interesting stuff! Thanks for sharing!
You bet!
Learned so much! Thank you!!!!

Hey, r/c reviews can you please make video on how setup planes on B/W radios boxer.
John, Another great video Can you show how to setup & mix ailerons & 2 servo elevator for a plane? I can't get it right, I can get one elevator surface to work correctly as an elevon but but not the 2nd one. I'm sure it's has to do with the mixes I doing or not doing. Thanks!

I'm confused. lol
So the inputs are rates of 0-100% and that rate or percentage is how much a flap will be allowed to move when set to a specific switch and that switch is in said position?
ok, you did make this video just saw it thanks.
love the video i noticed when i reversed the servos the ailron goes full direction one way but not the other what can i do about that and could you do a video on how to setup modes and gains on a switch and pots thanks keep up the awsome work
Reverse doesn't manipulate limits on servo movement, it simply inverts the signal. Something else is going on with that configuration. You might dig into your mixer line for that channel.
Hi im trying to set up my futura 64mm and it states wing type is 1 aileron 1 flap but how is this done with the tx16s ?
how do I add addition inputs that actually show up and function witht he switch i have set for it.

You need to watch my mix videos to learn how to mix ailerons and elevators. ruclips.net/video/U0FmXP1VSmc/видео.html
So Aileron 1 = Ch1, Aileron 2 = Ch5
Then put the wire for one aileron on Ch1 on the Rx and the wire for the other aileron on Ch5 on the Rx.
@@RCVideoReviews I did not do that. thanks a bunch.
Good choice!
Say boss, do you have a video that explains how to do flaps and gyro on this radio? I'm setting up a Carbon Cub and an Arrow Sabre and I can't figure that out.
You're very welcome!
In outputs screen, turn on extended limits.
hello, hi how do you reverse channel in edge tx for rc helicopter.
Really useful, thank you. I did notice you referred to an "Emily" sound pack, I find nothing in GITHUB for that. AM I missing something?
Emily is the name they gave to the default voice in the official sound pack here: github.com/EdgeTX/edgetx-sdcard-sounds/releases/tag/latest
I wish i could make a 'global profile' for several quadcopters, but let me override various things on a per-model basis
so i can apply changes to several models at once, while still having their unique settings

Sir
Could you please guide, how to set flaps?
Also
On model set page , there is section
Receiver, No , pls guide about that ,like if I have 4 same receiver for example fly sky, can I assign no 1 , to all four model or give them different no ,like
1 2 3 4?????
ruclips.net/video/boDiKX33dCg/видео.html
You can use receiver IDs to prevent the radio from binding to the wrong model.
Need small guide line ,
In my tools page I have only these 3 script
Lua model locator by Rssi
Lua wizard loader
And
Multi spectrum INT .
I don't have multi chan namer ,and other list of script like in your tools page ,
What to do ?
To name in out put page ??
Also can we use wizard loader to start channels setting , for plane like in open tx version?
That's very easy u can set all channels as per your requirement in start of model setting???
Multi Channel Updater is in the MPM LUA Scripts Archive. Select the correct firmware for your radio and it will be in the list of available downloads: downloads.multi-module.org/
Other scripts like TBS Agent Lite, ELRS, FM2M are all individual downloads. If you watch my OpenTX to EdgeTX MASTER CLASS Video, I cover how to get all the scripts: ruclips.net/video/0WnpfE78-KU/видео.html
Forget the wizard.
Yep, works fine in flight simulators.
Hey John, on the calibration screen down towards the bottom, there is a warning in red that says use 3.3v logic levels. Do you know what this means? Thanks.
Good question. I talked with one of the Edge developers and this is what he told me:
This is meant for the logic level of the AUX ports / UART's. Even though on TX16S, the pins used are 5V tolerant, what you get out is 3.3V logic level - e.g. important if hooking up a GPS or FTDI or similar. And the message is at SYSTEM -> HARDWARE page, not related to calibration.

About elevons settings
Could you do a similar video setting up a heli please John
I did: ruclips.net/video/xrzejjKo1xA/видео.html
Hi dear, sir
Could up guide me ,
I changed my momentary switch as u advise, from right to left .
I also set on galobal function, this momentary switch as trim setting ,
I want to use this momentary switch on DLG GLIDER as take off , hold and elevator up , so can I remove instant trim setting which did on galobal function for trim auto setting ?
Hope u understand my point?
Global Functions apply to all models. Special Functions apply to the current model. If you want to use the switch for different things with different models, remove the Global Function definition and specify Instant Trim as a Special Function for planes that you want to use the switch as Instant Trim and specify Elevator Hold for planes you want to use Elevator Hold.
@@RCVideoReviews thanks
Do u have any video about DLG GLIDER settings, with radio master t16?
OOTB I find my radio has a TON of stuff at the root of the SDCARD that I frankly am pretty sure I don't need - But how can I tell what HAS to be there for basic operation? Thanks!
The EdgeTX Github SD card contents for the TX16s are here: github.com/EdgeTX/edgetx-sdcard/tree/master/sdcard/c480x272
That list doesn't include models/radio which are created by the radio iteself.

Hi :)
I have a few questions:
first, how can i set the same delay to my elevator to flap mix so that the flaps and the elevator move the same time?
Second one is, did you upgrade all your radios to edge tx 2.6?
Thanks for the nice content 👍
Best wishes from Germany 🇩🇪
You have to add the delay on each mix line.
Yes, all of my radios are current on EdgeTX.
Glad you found the content helpful.
@@RCVideoReviews yes, thanks 😊
But one more question, I'm trying to figure out how I can slow down the flap and the elevator when I deploy these, so that they move together slowly, but it didn't work.
Do you have any tips for this?
I hope you understand what I mean.
Just received this radio, trying to fly a Striker3.
Never had any experience with RC toys. this my first.
I expected this to be better equipment's, so better flying with easier learning curve.
I am so confused. This is all overwhelming.
I feel I might have just have to sell everything,
and forget about this hobby!
