- Well after a week of illness which I am pretty sure was covid, all the symptoms were there. I am now recovered about 90% so back to the Plot for more work on the second bed. Needed as I have 4 fast growing courgette seedlings that will need planting very soon.
I've also marked out where the pond will go and if you watch til the end, you'll know what to do on the next vlog (wink wink nudge nudge)

Hi Kerry, So sorry to hear you've had vivid but glad you're on the mend. My son in law works in a school and has had it 3times, each very different. It has taken ages to get his energy levels up. Take it easy🙏 You really are plowing through home plot, lovely to see it coming together and no slugs/snails in the bargin😊 I bet that frog/toad has a big smile. Lovely to see Rosie with you, your shadow. How can you not love them. At least with homeplot you can do a bit and stop when you've had enough without the worry of having to drive home. You’re making good progress Kerry, especially when you’ve been poorly. Lots of people at my work have been going down with Covid recently, touch wood I’ve avoided it this time 🤞🏻 I’m seeing less slugs and snails because it’s been so dry round here, one decent rainfall and they’ll no doubt be back 🐌🐌
Hi Kerry it’s lovely when you start seeing seedlings appear. We haven’t any slugs but I’ve noticed Two Rats 🐀 in the garden running all over my Herbs and strawberry plants so I’ve had to invest in a couple of rat traps which I don’t like doing but it’s a must when it comes to strawberries and herbs 😩

Aww thank you Dorinda😀💕💕 plot 26 will be in new hands by next week, keeping plot 25 til autumn so I can harvest the boysenberry and once harvested, cut it back, dig up and move to the HomePlots. Plus there are fruit trees and the taunton dean I want to take in autumn. Am fully recovered thankfully but thank you🥰🥰🥰hope you're well xxx

Covid is rife here in Manchester, takes a while to recover energy. Gosh! what progress your making, so pleased you made the decision to move your allotment as so interesting watching your progress. Your doing well girl👍x

Hi if their are frogs I think they eat slugs not sure about snails. Gardens looking good.
i think all the slugs emmigrated to germany. we are back to endless rain again and i have any number of slugs crawling up the doors n walls (outside) to find a dry spot.
summer looking good here, 1 week broiling sun that nearly killed my dog followed by a week of rain, rinse, dry and repeat :D
Sorry to hear you had covid, I have heard a lot of people have had it. I have been wondering if that’s what I have had this week, I have been coughing all the time, and all I have wanted to do is sleep, one minute I am talking then next fast asleep, no cold but grumbling chest a bit, yes def no puff.
I did a covid test but it was clear. Mind you they can show negative when positive plus the test was border line out of date, I have felt horrid. So hope you soon more yourself, you doing a great job, but just take it easy.
One step at a time gets you there. Not sure if I told you , but Monty said this last week , been a rubbish year for small garlic this year, they like cold , but not to be in the vet all the time. Which they sure have had this year. Nice to be able to have Rosie there with you,

@@plot25 Tea thought you find that interesting , as this year was both our first attempt . Mind you the garlic is nice So better luck size wise next time . Hope you’re recovering from the bug /covid . One of the gps surgeries where we live had to close to patients as staff weee all off with it. However it was just closed a virus . Hehe
King king time since I have felt so poorly , I just slept all the time , and couldn’t get rid of a headache ache . Something I never really suffer from thank goodness. And I found it so hard to get my breath , that bit was scary . But on the road to recovery , I am pleased to say . Hope you are also . Hope still no slugs . So you may get more of your produce not damaged if that keeps up for you.

Sorry to hear you caught Covid..glad you are on the mend. Please, please don't overdo it. Understand you have a deadline on plot 26 but don't over do it. Few questions, one... could the pond be the reason for the increase of slugs and snails since there aren't many frogs to eat them? Question two, can you take the plywood and hardware on the allotment shed and store it at your new home until you get a new/used shed? It took you awhile to save to buy the allotment supplies? You are very creative in recycling. Your home plot has so many advantages...you can stop and start should you have inclement weather and pop in the house and not worry about driving home. Glad you still see Valerie. 😊
Aw thank you Donna👋😀💕 other allotmenteers think the mild winter hasn't helped with the slug/snail population, ie they've just carried on breeding lol. I'll leave the shed as is for the new person, too much to take it down. Nice thought thou. Hope you're well👋😀💕

@plot25 you are more than welcome, Kerry. I'm just being honest and myself lol but thank you 😊. Oh, I totally agree. Hospitals and schools are where covid loves to hang out. I was really shocked I didn't get it as I was in a bay with 3 other women, and the other 2 got it. Och I'm getting there Kerry but I will be in pain for a long time to come they have told me. I will just be glad when I can use my left arm properly and can get back to using 2 crutches as using the single one isn't helping my back or my knees. The Garden plot is coming along well Kerry, I've not been active for a few weeks now, been struggling with life in general, looking forward to September when I go on Holiday to Morocco for 2 weeks.

@@plot25my god it's not on the news that I've seen....it's an utter nonsense...no more jabs for me stopped last two reminders but have flu jab even that was a disaster as I had an ice 50s jab instead of over 65s jab as they had none yet again a complete nonsense....why didn't they tell me when I booked it at boots ? Id of waited or gone elsewhere!!! I was fairly miffed in the shop in front of customers ...!

Sorry to hear you had COVID. Definitely knocks you about.
Renting is never guaranteed long term but we hope we are here for as long as is possible. We are of the mindset to treat a place we live as if we owned it, so we look after, improve and just crack on with allowable jobs (like we would love a wood burning stove but that's 2 expensive and the landlord would say no) gardening is one of those jobs where you get a lot put of it, just by doing it. 😀👍👍

A mini 3rd wave is happening apparently Sally🧐, read that there was a small uptick in hospitilisations. Prob a lot more people have had it but thought it was a really bad cold, glad I'm over it now phewie!
