- cracked the first bed on the ol' home plot which is something I would not have believed a week ago!!
also I have more Damson' than first thought and I know where the pond is going but forget to tell you! Use an arrow to show roughly where it is but will start digging it very soon as need to get pond plants over to the plot.
Thanks again for all your help in identifying the damson tree/hedge, am absolutely over the moon to have it.

We used to live in Cheshire where damsons were everywhere, often purchased them from honesty tables outside peoples homes. I recommend freezing your damsons as soon as you've picked them, put them into carrier bags and put full bags into your chest freezer, you don't need to worry about splitting them into smaller bags because the damsons will break apart even when they're frozen together. Also look up a recipe for damson gin, looks as though your going to have a glut of them. 👍x

You've probably thought of this already, but would it be possible to hire equipment from a hire company, like a rotovator, or whatever it's called, to help turn over the soil? To get you up and running. With the right equipment you could achieve a considerable amount in a weekend. I know it costs money, but at the moment you do have a tremendous amount to do.
It's a good idea in principle, althou some people say it churns up weeds which will sprout all over later, but it def makes short work of a big job. Just checked local hire place and it's just under £60 for 1 day. It's a bit pricey for us at the mo, so will slog it out on the cheap😅👍💕
Hi Kerry damson go a blue /purple and if they feel soft . When gently squeezed .then they're ready to harvest 😊😊

Grubbing mattock. 5lb head..wooden handle... wood is better than fibre glass.. cos its dead easy to tighten head with a nail (wedge) if it gets loose. A decent knee mat. "impacto," expensive....26£ but knee health is priceless.. fiskars brush hook...48£ ..stupid money.But so enjoyable to use.. And a 12 tooth rake.
Have had a few problems with WiFi so first vid I've seen in several weeks coming along nicely I'm even further behind than you 💞

Which direction does the back of the house face, Kerry? Presumably your phone has a compass, although every time I try to use mine it tells me to twist it and turn it and all sorts to ensure it's accurate.
