- good ol' realism has set in especially with the channel not being financially viable as it stands. So extra hours at my 'normal' job to help bring home the bacon but it means I cannot dedicate the time to the plots as I once did. If the channel was financially viable, whoopie no change required but sadly it isn't.
So to keep costs down, I am going to start vlogging more from my home plot and start transferring plants from the plots to the home plot.
Sad as this is for me, this is the best option.

Hi Kerry, a year into my retirement I was diagnosed with the big C 😮 it was during my recovery from surgery and treatment that I discovered your budget cooking channel and then your plot 25+1 😊. I want to let you know how much I looked forward to your updates, I wouldn’t normally watch you tube but you became part of my therapy and it took me to a different place for a time and I thank you so much for that, I have great admiration for you as do so many of your subscribers, I look forward to following your new ventures and wish you every success for the future 🌻
Totally understand Kerry. Allotments take a lot of hard work when they’re away from home. Having space to grow in the back garden is so much better. You can pop out whenever you want….😌and we get to see the dog😀😀
Definitely the best way in my humble opinion, as has been said, easier to walk out into your own garden, save petrol, time and you'll get more done 😃 Your life, your decision Kerry, do what's right for you and your family. I will still look forward to watching you. Good luck lovely Kerry. x
Grown your own at home makes more sense. In fact when you first showed us around you new home we both said that you should give up the allotments and transfer your home garden. Easier for you and your family life. Good luck with home garden. Love what you do 😊

Awe Kerry you have worked so hard with both your plots but I fully understand you have a family home to run and if you have been offered extra hours at work you must take them but you mustn't get yourself over tired. I would be very sorry not to see the allotment any more but I do understand what a huge commitment it is.
I have downloaded the Merlin app but we have very few birds in our neck of the woods. I borrow your birds by recording your birdsong!!

I hink you've made a very wise decision, Kerry. It is much easier to manage a garden at home, wheer everything is to hand and you can nip into the garden for half an hour easily. You will miss it but once you start planting your garden at home, that will keep you busy and the plot will become a distant memory. The extra hours at work will certainly help with finances. I had a community garden for years until a house move gave me space to grow at home. There is nothing better than being able to walk out to your garden in the morning in pajamas and in the evening with a glass of wine 🥳

I think you’ve done really well holding down your job especially now with more hours, family and making videos for us all to enjoy.
You’ve worked really hard on the 2 plots but I think you’re making the right decision in giving them up now, especially if you’re getting tired, it’s a lot to take on.
Working on your own garden makes sense doing what you did there but in your own garden where you’re not spending time travelling to and throw and with the family more.
Yes we all will miss your plot 25+1 channel but we get to see how your own garden is growing and what your future plans are for the garden. Good luck Kerry I really love your channels and will carry on watching them all.

I completely understand, this is why I haven’t ever applied for an allotment because I just know I wouldn’t be able to give it the time it needs despite me wishing I had the room to grow so much more than I can in my little garden. You have the chance to grow so much in your fabulous new garden and it’s so much easier when you can pop out and do 10 minutes weeding between other chores because it is so close. Love hearing that you want to make a pond there, they are so important to wildlife and attract slug eating frogs and toads 🐸 even better 😊. I think I’ve recommended Joel Ashton’s Wild Your Garden channel as the place to go for wildlife pond making videos, well worth a look up. Would love to keep watching what you do in your garden but don’t feel pressured to do as often as you were doing if it is becoming too much. Lots of gardening channels only do once a week updates or even less. Wishing you well and feel for you as you let go of what you have worked hard on.

Hi Kerry, I just want to give you a massive hug right now. I know how much it means to you and how you have put your heart & soul into it. We always say to the our children/grandchildren your health comes first, family, career it's what pays the bills, then hobbies. It will be sad to see it go but you have a wonderful space at home and you can get it just how you want it. Fingers crossed you can transfer as much as poss esp with the pond. You'll have Rosie to keep you company, not have to drive and being able to nip out when you have a spare half hour. Most of all you can harvest and straight into the kitchen. Makes perfect sense. I think you are amazing and I have no idea how you do what you do, for us, and you do it so well. If you spread yourself too thin, something has to give. Good idea to use your chalkboard to list what you want to take. We have every faith in you and I will most certainly be there. Hi Kerry, it is a wise decision to transfer your vegetable plot over to your garden but a great shame you will lose your shed after all the hard work you put into it. However, it will be a new challenge growing your fruit and vegetables at home and will be much easier for you to manage your time, plus you will get to admire your work daily (it is lovely to just walk down the garden to pick fresh veg and salad and check on progress whenever you want). So from both a financial and from a practical perspective it's the best thing to do. Take the pressure off, give up your allotments and garden from home. Hopefully you’ll video growing and experimenting with growing new plants/fruits and veg so you won’t be letting anyone down, just moving us (and we’ll see more of Rosie!🥰) whoever inherits plot 26 will be pleasantly surprised when they see what you’ve done with your shed! I've often wondered how you managed to do everything, but understand where you're coming from. I'm sure your garden will be plenty big enough for you to grow your own produce. You've worked so hard to renovate the shed you wanted and the pond. Plants are so expensive and you could take those with you.
It's a decent size Kathryn, feel better already and made a start on the home plot this morning (that vlog will be up tomz🤪👍💕) gonna make another pond, love ponds lol. Will keep an eye out for a 2nd hand shed as well. Love sheds too!

Hi Kerry don’t worry about giving up the allotment because you can have an allotment anywhere weather it’s on a plot a rented land or in your own backyard and your income is more important and a least you won’t need to worry when you’re filming with people passing by ❤

Your decision is very sensible, Kerry. When I saw the size of your new garden I thought you would be giving up the allotments because your garden is pretty sizable all on its own. Also taking into account the distance you have to travel. You don't want to wear your self out!
I really think the move should be sooner rather than later. The demands of gardening during the summer are considerable and frankly, I think it might run you ragged.
You need to consider your health.

The answer is do what makes you happy and RUclips it if you wish. If you do it for the money alone you will soon give it up if it doesn't pay off. If you do what makes you happy, you will carry the enthusiasm with you and you will not tire of it. My advice is to just cut your losses, decide now what you can cope with. You have a family and family time is so important. These are days you won't get back. Concentrate on your garden if that's your wish and your cooking if that's what you want to do. But make sure what you choose is what you want to do and will enjoy. That's the route to a successful RUclips channel. Your enthusiasm for your choices will shine through. Good Luck.

In my opinion you have made the right choice. No way would I have an allotment if I had a garden at home like yours, the plus side is you can harvest and cook within minutes. As for you plants lift and transplant as much as you can. What ever you do we will all still follow you. xx
If you haven’t got time to spend on the allotment it will just become a chore. Better to concentrate on your home garden and let someone else love your allotment. I’ll still be watching.

Kerry, some things you need to do some things some things you like to do. Finances are a need to do. As you say you have a plot at home so I think that would keep the subscribers happy well I will continue watching as will others.
I'm not tuber, but I do like seeing people who have a passion for entertaining us on, in your case the budget, which as you know is very successful, but really it a hobby, and can be profitable a bonus, but when spend money to entertain us then that's a different story, but your honest, it comes from the heart and you should be commended on that, your showing us what you think is what we want to see, but its difficult because everyone else as the same idea, so dont beat your self up, people should understand.😏

That would be a shame not seeing you, but at the end of the day , you must do what’s best for you and your family. There is a limit to how much everyone can do. I think your home garden would be lovely and folk must understand just in a different place , but sane thing . I would be shattered as well if I was you. Will you carry on with your cooking ?? Best to do while summer , and you have more light, be much harder in the winter when both temp and light will restrict you more. Your thoughts are right. Please put yourself first every time . Your cost is maybe more including fuel to get there. There is a lot on your plots to look after , then you need to look at how much the slugs etc eat , even after the time you have spent growing watering and wearing yourself out. My opinion is look after no 1. Will stand by you while you still show us things and thank you for all your time you have given to us , and most important thank you for trying at least. You did your best . And more important again you trie Kerry . Xx
Using your garden will mean that you can just pop out for ten or fifteen minutes at a time when you have a moment rather than having to make a plan. Getting more hours and money from your work is really important when you have a young family and this will allow you more time at home.

I've always been concerned this year with you having so many changes or plates in the air. Please do what is right for you. Smart idea to start clipping and chitting for your new gardwn and pond. Please be proud of your accomplishments with all you channels, new home, new car, new job opportunities. Honestly, your are very relatable and I get excited to see a new post from any of your channels because of you. I may be a bit selfish but I would love it if you continued your channel to your home garden...just don't go off air completely... I'd miss you too much and your senses of humor and your cooking. The majority of us will still be there with you following on the journey from plots to home plots and how you develop it along the way. You can't run the plots of fresh air alone, unfortunately, and you need the financial backing, which is, of course, your employment. I was gutted when you said you're considering giving up the whole channel. Please don't do that 🙏. @plot25 Thank you Kerry, nearly 4 weeks I was in hospital for. I'm still very sore and will be for the foreseeable. I'm on antibiotics until mid-July and have to get weekly bloods done at GPS, but I'm getting there, and I was home for my mums 70th birthday yesterday. I think I've caught up with all of your videos, I've just liked them as I was going along but only commented on this one. "Hameldaeme" could be an option, but then again, that might confuse some people 🤣🤣. You will get there, and at least with the home garden, you can go in and out as you please not having to be as strict with timings. I'm sure you will get a shed no problem. Hi Kerry, it does seem such a shame when you have spent so much time and money on your allotment and shed, but it makes total sense. Why spend time and money when you can do it at home. Hi Kerry, you must do what you have to do in life, and if you move to your back garden it would not cost you in Money, Time, or Stress to get to the allotment and then to school and home, plus the more hours at your work, got for it girl and give the allotment up and run it from your garden.

@@Kerry.Morton All this weather we are having is playing havoc with my COPD, I can not get out to do my videos for my channel, I feel like I am letting my subscribers down but my health comes first, maybe Summer might be round the corner, we shall have to see.

Hi Kerry, a year into my retirement I was diagnosed with the big C 😮 it was during my recovery from surgery and treatment that I discovered your budget cooking channel and then your plot 25+1 😊. I want to let you know how much I looked forward to your updates, I wouldn’t normally watch you tube but you became part of my therapy and it took me to a different place for a time and I thank you so much for that, I have great admiration for you as do so many of your subscribers, I look forward to following your new ventures and wish you every success for the future 🌻
