    So quick question......due to budget reasons I started with a single xs2000 in a 2x4x5 tent. I purchased another xs2000 to 4un in the same tent end to end (similar to the shape of the xs4000), would I get the same or close to the readings of a single xs4000?

    Dr MJ Coco, I have a question. I have 2 XS4000s in a 5x5. I grew a full tent at 100% power output and a distance of 20 to 24" with good results. If I only want to grow on one half of the tent and slide both light over to one side to cover say 3x5 area can I grow at 12 to 15" height at say 60% power? Have you ever ran two lights lower at lower heights instead of one light higher at higher heights?

    Upon your review, I eeturned my previous lights and got this.
    Put it in a 4x2, UNSURE of dimmer setting and distance from early veg plants ? 28" at 50% currently, slow growth, curled, crispy leaves...help

    • @DrMJCoco
      @DrMJCoco  2 года назад +2

      Well, it is an awful lot of light for a 4x2. I tested it in areas that were double that size - So at 50% you will be close to the maximum tolerable density. You may need to dim it more than that in Early veg - 28" is fine - hanging height is not going to be terribly significant because you have full density and an even distribution.

      I have a cheapo light meter, (questionable accuracy)
      50% light AT 28", it reads 24.5k give or take.

      TIA.

  • @brandoncampbell2745
    @brandoncampbell2745 2 года назад

    the diodes are driven pretty hard on this lamp. Thats why the numbers are not.so-spectacular given 301 diodes and this highend-driver. I think it would benefit greatly from underpowering it. Running it on only 250-300 watt in a 4x2 tent should make it quite efficient. Would have loved to see that numbers.

    Why are these new lights so tiny I had to get two of these just because they're so small and they really only cover a 2 by 3 area per unit I mean just look at them my old-school t5's in a 8 tube fixture that measure 48-in long and super wide are like 6 times the size of these as far as the width and they're even longer for half the price if these don't turn out I'm going back to the old school t5's they did a heck of a job from start to finish
