  • @Pipebomb666
    @Pipebomb666 3 года назад

    Could you recommend a passive cooled light if heat is my main concern. Which lights gave surprisingly low temp readings? I'm currently using a bunch of 100w Optic 1's, they have godly heat sinks. I'm leaning toward something like HLG 600. I grow in my bedroom with 4 4x4 tents, my window AC unit kicks ass but... lol.

    • @gregkramer5588
      @gregkramer5588 2 года назад

      The total heat is going to be based on the wattage. Efficiency lets you use less power hence less heat but a 240 watt light will have very close to identical amount of heat from each mfg. I like the FC-E4800 for a 4x4. Or maybe even the -E6500. You can always dim it and the larger size would give great coverage.

    Fantastic light
    .its on sale for like 159$ it won't be thst cheap for long.
    Viparspectra has told me they have been designing a bar style light. Its been some time but was told it was to be a modular build as well.
    Not 100% if they are still going in the modular direction. But would be the best fit for growers.
    Viparspectra seems to be the only ones who always sends the metal gear rope ratchets everytime.
    Thier warehouses for warranties are in the states too.
    1 in Washington and another in Kentucky.
    2 smaller lights like 2 p1500s is a much better coverage with less hot spots.
    I even ran 4 in my 4×4 to have more uniform coverage and flexibility.

    Love the vids. Here is my question, what effect does two lights have on par? I may have made a mistake but I picked up 2 of these for a 4x3 for an auto tent. Was thinking 3x3 area of tent for flowering and I could move a few early veg plants in on edge 1x3 towards end of flowering.

    • @Justintime2grow
      @Justintime2grow  2 года назад

      Two lights if they overlap would increase par where they overlap

    • @veritas1407
      @veritas1407 2 года назад +1

      Thanks! Free consultation, what other channel does this! I think I may have to make sure I have as much separation then, I don’t want the overlap to create a hot spot, think I need to take down second chamber (2n1 tent) and spread amongst entire area vs just 3x3. BTW, because you have an honest review around the driver running hot, it was exactly what I needed for temperature control in a colder basement.

      For a 2x2 there are a million options that will work pretty well. If you want my top option it would be chilled x3 veg and chilled x3 regular. Those fit perfectly in a 2x2 and can push as much par as you can handle or you can run them dimmed and have significantly less heat because they disperse really well even at 100%. Discount code j2g
      Budget option I would say mars fc3000. Same size as the x3 fits well in a 2x2 and you can blow it up or dim it down. Discount code Justin

    It's a good light for a small spaces and especially for the price..one of the best budgets lights on Amazon fasho..I replaced my 315 cmh's with these and am happy I did so
