Got both of them and ended up keeping the UCDP. The purple coating in bright rooms and the lack of options in the menus while in HDR were the biggest detractors on the UCDM. If Lg/Asus offers a glossy WOLED next gen I’ll switch to that instead.
In hdr the ucdp still has image settings enabled in the osd? I had both too. But I’m forgetting now. I feel like it did because I am missing it with the ucdm.
My ASUS ROG Swift PG35VQ just died, so i've been looking at a replacement gaming monitor. Been looking at these two and some other gaming monitors. This video upload is at a perfect timing :)

Hello everyone, I would like to get your opinions on the choice I should make since I keep changing my mind after each review. I'm looking to upgrade my monitor and I'm really torn between the Swift OLED PG32UCDM and the PG32UCDP (or any other suggestions you might have). Right now, I’ve been using an Asus VG245H - Matte - LED for the past 10 years, so there's almost no reflection. I have a PC that can run everything at max, so no performance issues on that front. I'm a photographer/Digital Artist, so I spend a lot of time on Photoshop (sometimes up to 20 hours a day), and in my free time, I play games like Cyberpunk. The environment where I work or play is generally pretty bright, but I don't have any light sources directly behind me, so there's no direct reflection on the screen-just some reflections from the sides (but since my screen is matte, I don't really notice them). Initially, I was more interested in the M model because the color calibration seems really interesting, on the other hand, the purple-black tint and reflections worry me, but the colors on the P model seem much worse and the VRR flicker too. Of course, the risk of burn-in concerns me since I work a lot with Photoshop, but I’m really eager to switch to OLED for the image quality.
“Semi-gloss coating has some haziness” - no, semi-gloss coating is on QD-OLED, not on WOLED variant in this comparison. Please, just add "semi-matte" coating to your evaluation system, because you're misinforming your readers and watchers. PG32UCDP (and LG 32GS95UE-B) both have semi-matte anti-reflective coating.
The technical word is semi-glossy, not semi-matte, right at the beginning of the video he explains that semi-glossy is defined as a mix between pure matte and pure glossy coating.
@@thinkbeforeyoupost9766 Rtings already confirmed that this is more matte than glossy panel - check comments on their website regarding 32GS95UE-B review, LG model that uses same coating. Their reasoning for using "semi-glossy" description is this (copy paste from comment section): "For consistency, we either classify a monitor as glossy, semi-glossy, or matte, so we went with semi-glossy as we don’t classify monitors as semi-matte. But I understand your point, I hope this clears it up!" Basically they don't have semi-matte in their evaluation system, this is the reason, why they're describing it as semi-glossy. It's just not correct, I have this monitor, and this isn't semi-glossy at all - it's light matte, in other reviews described as semi-matte.
I find it strange when they say the woled is semi-gloss. It looks far more grainy compared to my previous matte ips monitors. One of the reasons why i returned mine.
Hey folks! We just wanted to jump in and clarify that for us we categorize monitors as 'semi-glossy' when they aren't pure matte nor pure glossy. This doesn't mean there's a scale of how glossy or matte it is, but rather it's a mix. It's a bit like a glass half-full/half-empty situation where you can definitely consider it semi-matte as well, but for consistency we label all these in-between monitors as semi-glossy!
@@RTINGSComputerIt’s inaccurate though. The PG32UCDM has a semi-glossy finish whereas the UCDP has a matte finish. There is nothing glossy about the UCDP and to say it is semi-gloss is inaccurate and misrepresenting the product.
Asus PG32UCDP is the better choice right now. You get the Dual mode for games like CS2, COD, Valorant etc... plus you can also work in a bright room. I'm waiting for Asus to release a 4K OLED Gloss WOLED Dual mode 4K 240hz - 1440p 480hz monitor. That would be the real End Game
