Only the FO32U2P has been known to be slightly warm, the orange tint is not caused by QD-OLED tech itself. Other QD-OLED are a bit more neutral like the AW3225QF or the PG32UCDM which is the sister monitor of the PG32UCDP, ASUS would have calibrated both monitors the same way.
Thats what ive heard. Interesting i cant lie, but hey at least each monitor has some uniqueness i guess
@@ZXTechI have the LG woled 480 hz
And the asus qdoled and the asus is just so much better yes 480hz in crazy like literally unmatched but with good internet and a monster PC. 240hz is plenty and the since its native i can just play at a 75 % res and still get 240hz. The woled is restricted to 1080p in the 480hz which at times depending on the game is just so pixelated. Its varies game to game.
i have the asus pg32ucdm and I can clearly see that the white and blue are turning slightly yellow and it's really disturbing, that's why I returned it
@@Raykeur21i don’t get it!! Was it turned yellow over a period of time or it was yellow from day 1??
I’ve had both of these for the past week. I’m literally about to walk out the door to return them both to MicroCenter.
The PG32UCDP has blown out whites that lose all detail in a blank white slate. Monitors Unboxed talked about this in their review, but I found it even worse. I want to keep this one because it’s brighter overall in desktop mode, but this makes the monitor a no-go.
The F032U2 has a known issue where it just randomly shuts off. It happened the first night I got it, and again 3 days later. Last night (day 5) I came home to it booting into a RGBWBlack full screen slide show, with no response to any input besides holding the nipple for 3 seconds to turn it on/off. I left it unplugged from the wall all night and it’s still doing it, so I just boxed it back up. I think it’s dead.
I can’t believe that we have 2 companies releasing monitors with major flaws for $1100-1300. And YES I did test every color profile mode, and every color setting, even brightness down to 10% and TrueHDR 400, no change. Ok I’m going to end this and go return these. I did post screenshots in Reddit forums, and have a video of the RGB cycling issue.
So when I returned them the MicroCenter employee did say they have had a lot of returns on the Gigabyte FO32U2, but he had not heard of the cycling colors before.
@andrewskaterrr the cycling colors I think i know the issue - I had a customer at my dayjob have it too. Afaik gigabyte said it might be stuck in the factory qc testing mode
consider the odyssey neo g9 57 if you are someone who likes HDR in games :)
Which one would you recommend as a 32 inç 4k 240hz oled monitor? what do you think about Asus PG32UCDM or Msi MAG 321UPX ?
the 32'' gorilla class dough spectrum oled version is like 749-$1099 for the 4k 240hz and 480hz @ 1080p with displayport 2.1 and hdmi 2.1
i’ve been waiting for the dough spectrum black 32” glossy WOLED, but Dough is notorious for buggy firmware terrible customer support… Tempted to just go for the Gigabyte
also the spectrum black is only glossy by means of gorilla glass bonded to a regular matte LG panel, so while the ambient light handling is good, the clarity will likely fall somewhere between matte and true “native” glossy
better off going with any other company not dough lol
I want to try the asus pg32ucdp
so coming from an Aorus ad27qd...
- the OLED is not as bright!
- black is really black on the OLED which is nice!
- white appears whiter on the Aorus (IPS panel). And even way whiter on my smartphone (pixel8), when i compare a screen test youtube video. the white on the Asus OLED looks gray in comparison, is this the regular case? i tried a few different settings, and even your rtings settings.
Bro I loved your honest continuity 😁🤍
Nice honest review😊
Thank you 😊
What monitor stand do you use?
Putting them side by side with different footage... bold choice.
disagree with you on the aspect ratio. What u should have done instead would be set the ratio of 27" on the monitor but then go to windows and select 4k native res. Thats why i bought this FO32U2P.
thats basically downscaling, which isnt necessarily a bad idea. But 4K with a crop is still good enough for me:)
Whats the monitor arm you are using?
I think the VRR flicker is unbearable and the fact that so few "reviewers" talk about the issue makes me very suspicious.
I didnt even notice the flicker once, so I didnt mention it. I thinkyou are more sensitive than most probably
what monitor arm do you use?
This is a great very impartial sounding review. Neither are perfect. It really is a tough choice. The brightness is very confusing. In person the QD-OLED appears brighter in SDR while thew WOLED is Brighter in HDR.
True, the tuning is weird
how text looks on those screens in native 4k? I'm interested in coding/reading. I own Apple Studio Display 5K and I'm wondering if those 4K OLEDS are going to be only slightly or much worse in this regard.
Slightly worse imo, but some people seem to be more sensitive to it than others
Since I am very familiar with the 5k Studio Display and bought the 4k woled oled I can say that it's much better than older gen OLED screens but the difference in text sharpness is still quite large. It works well for coding and for me text sharpness is sufficient but there is a huge difference to the display you are used to. I would try it out first at a store or buy it with 14 day free return policy to test it if I were you.
So asus or aorus??
I believe the firmware is out as of aug 20th 2024.
hi zxtech im considering to buy either asus ucdp or ucdm...should i just buy ucdm or wait for ucdp (which is i don't know when it came out in malaysia)
Ucdp had better vrr control to reduce vrr flicker, but it is matte
I wld get the ggb instead of ucdm since it has Dp2.1 and is usually cheaper. But btwn the 2? The conclusion is the same as I had at the end of the video because the UCDM AND fo32u2p havr the same panel. Pick based on colour preference first, then features :)
@@tivtag I thought the PG32UCDM added that in a firmware update?
UCDM is better calibrated than the FO32U2P by the way, same QD-OLED panel but no warm tint on the PG32UCDM so it should look similar to the UCDP.
@@paul2609 I don’t know tbh. Maybe one should research this. VRR flicker is horrible.
odyssey neo g9 57 can get brighter in hdr scenes mini led va display and its 7680x2160 @ (120hz until dp 2.1 gpu from nvidia release then 240hz) or 3840x2160 @ 240hz So once oled can get as bright as pg32uqx/ or odyssey neo g9 in 100% window lcd mini led still has a space for pc game
Which game is that?
I got the udcp cause my other monitor is also mat.. my setup is in the living room so always in sight better to have matching monitors was my typing point cause it was between the ucdm and the ucdp..
Hi sir i play single player ultra settings of course 4k i have aw3225qf. But when it comes to multiplayer frames per second matters to me. Anyway what it looks like on 1080p 480hz without AA and low settings? I dont care graphics but is it still looks clear on 1080p 32 inches? As long i can see the enemy its fine for me.
Hey, I was wondering how you got the 27 and 24.5 inch modes to switch over on Valorant so seamlessly? Are you running Valorant in windowed mode? I tired doing it on full screen, and the whole game got into this bugged resolution that I could only solve by closing the game.
Running windowed fullscreen i think
How long are you expecting to wait to see the 4K 480hz monitors? Are there any announced?
after displayport 2.1 gpus release next year I would rather have 4k @ 240hz and have 8k @ 120hz so if I can get a monitor that can do 4k @ 240hz and 8k @ 120hz in 32'' that is the one in oled
@@ployth9000 Gaming at 8K is demanding. Think more the 7000 series. That said I would be happy with a glossy black 32" 4K 240hz qdoled without that awful purple tint and anti reflective semi matt finish.
@@changeagent228 yeah I know it is the odyssey neo g9 57 at 7680x2160 in high on life I would get about 40 fps still 50% missing 8k now on 4k I would get like 80+ fps
@@changeagent228 oh dough aka eve spectrum is releasing a gorilla glass 4k @ 240hz 1080p @ 480hz dp 2.1 with usb c for $1099 pre orders are live
@@ployth9000 Yeah saw the dough many say they are dodgy company though and their brightness at 100% window is only 150nits. My LCD is 300nits and not that bright. Even my phone is brighter than 300nits. Maybe we are just in a period of lacklustre oled brightness and 2026+ will be when we start seeing 400nits and up at 100% window.
ASUS PG32UCDP in any light environment for both gaming/office is endgame!
Its pretty good!
ASUS PG32UCDP contrast looks washed out because of higher nits almost blinding great for darker games and sitting near window gives edge over to any QD-OLED the PG32UCDM Has better contrast but lower brightness but I am slightly leaning towards Gigabyte FO32U2P And for the ASUS PG32UCDP cheats built in for Moba and FPS games also anti flicker within OSD.
I think the cheats are kinda overrated tbf, it didnt really feel like it helped(tho i might just be ass)
@@ZXTech I don't play FPS games just games like path of exile 2 and some mmo's so won't be helpful to me.
The comparison I was waiting for
How good is 1080p 480hz compares to 540HZ TN ?
540Hz TN is definitely not worth it for its price, especially since it doesn't deliver much of an advantage compared to even 360Hz
If you're willing to spend money on a monitor like that, I'd recommend waiting for the PG27AQDP which should be targeting the same launch price as the PG27AQDM; it's a 1440p 480Hz WOLED monitor with DP2.1 and ELMB, and it's arguably more worth the money compared to 540Hz TN panels
these 32" 4K OLED monitors are best for those with a high end build, and provides the best of both worlds of competitive gaming and media consumption, but if you're a sweaty gamer that puts his face up close and personal to the screen then this isn't for you
EDIT: buying ASUS products are a HUGE RISK because they have the absolute WORST warranty service, do give it some time and research before committing to a buy
Takes it out back and shoots it dead thats how good OLED is. But if ur doing eSports, wait for the 480hz qhd rumoured to have ELMB at 480
@@ZXTechso 480hz OLED is better than 540hz ulmb2 TN?
@@Decki777 480HZ QHD OLED w BFI will definitely be
@@ZXTechbut BFI cuts the refresh rate half though so 480hz QHD OLED will have only 240hz when enable BFI. LG or Samsung must make tandem OLED monitors because Tandem OLED has twice the brightness of normal OLED and it has way higher lifespan than normal OLED so theocratically Tandem OLED can use BFI without reducing brightness way too much.
For color grading Asus panel hands down
Fs
Hi sir is it blurry playing on 1080p 480hz?
Its okay. If ur okay with pixelated its great
i am waiting for my PG32UCDP to get into wearhouses so they can ship it to me
Do ur monitor have sound or u use speakers
Problem is; OLED got the same VRR/Freesync flickering problem as VA LCD panels. I would never play with the flickering. Just got a new good VA monitor, and once I experienced the Freesync flickering, I switched it off.
asus 32 ucdp has a mode to improve this...actually 3 steps of changing the lower range of VRR...actually from what i saw in reviews it help.
I don't have that issue with my first va monitor odyssey neo g9 57
The asus pg32ucdp has a matte coating which is horrible. It could have been the best monitor but they decided to ruin it.
@@agiverreviga4592 ?? They are not the same. This not even the same technology they are using. The glossy one is qd oled the matte is woled. Qd oled have a problem with raised black levels because of the lack of the polarizing layer. Thats why I am saying that woled is better if they make a pure glossy version…
Dude Matte is the best.. i have 2 OLED Glossy at home... and Matte ist so much better... guess u never get an oled before.
same as Samsung G80SD.they ruined it by making it matte.Samsung even ruined their flagship QD TV by putting that same dull matte coating on it.
@@timpeeee1904 Well, as someone who’s had three OLEDs so far, I disagree. I even bought and returned the Samsung G80SD because the matte coating totally dulls the contrast, colors, and blacks. With matte screens, you get anti-reflection, but at the cost of worse contrast and less vibrancy. That’s just how it is.
Ummm these are not the best. The ASUS QDOLED is better over the WOLED
I disagree
By a landslide too.
I agree😂
Only better in the glossy coating and slightly more poppy colors, everything else the WOLED version is better.
I prefer my fo32up vs 32ucdm. I have multiple oled tvs/monitors as well from sony/lg/asus/gigabyte...ama
Glossy looks immensely better.
Irl I wouldnt say its immensely, just slightly
@@ZXTech ok ok maybe not immensely but higher than slightly. Everything is so vibrant. I love the punchy saturation.
@@setitfree78 The thing i dislike is whenever you display black or darker scenes (which is where OLED's really shine) you see EVERYTHING reflected in your room when you have the lights on, which is really distracting to me and with a matte finish this is almost entirely gone.
@koolin3613 I hear ya. I spray painted my basement with dark fall so it looks like a nightclub. I don't get any reflections. It really pops in dark rooms. Matte on the hand just looks cheaper.
@@setitfree78 Yeah that's perfect! No reflections sounds great and definitely a non issue then.
We have a C1 in the living room and dark games on that are not the best (they look great but the tv reflects like a mirror) I have not seen a matte OLED since my local stores only carry OLED TV's and all monitors and laptops are glossy I think. But I believe you many people say that's the main drawback of a matte coating
asus bad inputlag in 60 and 120 hz
oled just faster burn in
True
The problem is even the QHD 480hz announced will be matte displays only
Nothing is wrong with matte u weirdo
Really doesnt matter that much I cant lie
I ordered an Asus pg248qp after watching Asus PG27AQDP 1440p OLED 480hz review because it can't do BFI at 480hz it can do BFI only at 240hz 😅
I got the pg27aqdp, and i cant lie, i rather use it than the 540hz
@@ZXTech yeah I get it because PG27AQDP has better colors, contrast resolution and faster response time but Asus pg248qp is 800$ which is 200$ cheaper than PG27AQDP . I paid 1400$ to get an Asus pg248qp because of the high import tax so I can't imagine how much I have to pay for PG27AQDP to import it in my country. LG is now developing Tandem OLED it has twice the brightness of the current OLED and it also has a way higher lifespan. so I'll keep my Asus pg248qp until LG releases their Tandem OLED 500hz monitor.
@@ZXTechHi I need your help I bought the Asus pg24qp From Amazon it's using US plug type and in the US they use 120volt but in my country we use 240volt so Can I use this monitor in my country by just using an Adapter please help me 😔
@Decki777 i think u can use an adapter or just buy a dc cable that works for your plug
@@ZXTech yeah it should work because people from different country using Asus pg248qp without any issues.
Ur video is laging it is not 60hz.
This is the dumbest statement. OLED absolutely has advantages, however, there are many cases where IPS LCD has advantages. The only reason "LCDis dead" us because reviewers like you are running around pushing that... my tv is an OLED, but I may be buying the 38 ASUS IPS 4k for my gaming monitor
its just a hyped up title for clicks lmao i aint hiding iy
Keep coping lcd sucks! I have ips, but i dont live in fanstasy world fearing oled burning.
@20puskinas1992 whatever man, I have OLED, I have standard LCD, they both have their uses... right tool for the right job
You have the weapon on the wrong side of the screen.
Left hand is superior heh
mixed use (gaming & work) will burn in oled monitors.
Of course but its getting far more resistant as the tech develops (and theres burn in warranty)
damn watching these monitos with a 32:9 oled monitor makes me laugh. It's not immersive at all XD
Never coming back to 16:9
Having tried 32:9 i am inclined to agree that its truly phenomenal! The oled ones especially are insane
ASUS PG32UCDP winns !
every time...and in 99.00% of cases LG 32gs95QE...being also cheaper....
@@guttalexandrumihai9564 no oled care options :(
No
MR copy people
I’ll do even more unique things once im doing this full time i promise. But also, how is this video a copy? Im just curious cos its just a comparison on two popular products
