Does filmmaker mode have the same doubled input lag as cinema mode? Visually, Filmmaker mode looks identical to Game optimizer mode but brighter at the same OLED pixel brightness setting number, and filmmaker mode is supposed to disable image processing.

G80SD was my end game monitor or so I thought. Constant issues with it. Never again.

I have this monitor since release. Its mini-LED backlight implementation is the single worst I have ever seen on any display. Sadly the PC monitor mini-LED market hasn't progressed since the first few monitors from half a decade ago.

I don't get how the PG32UCDM was reported as the best pre-calibrated out of the box and all of a sudden it scores a 7.5 with RTings. Its so hard to know which reviews to trust.

Why are 32" 4k screens seemingly so unpopular? Everything is 27" these days. To me that's too small for 4k, but I seem to be in a small minority!

I mainly play on PS5 Pro. Bought the G80SD and after some tinkering with the settings I was completely underwhelmed. Replaced it with the AW3225QF and my jaw dropped. Incredible picture quality straight out the box. No brainer for me.

What settings are available for the refresh rate on windows over hdmi? Is 120hz available?

thanks for making this review RTINGS so... did LG just drop firmware support at 3.05, 2.02 + its been from december 24 until now w no update? its confusing why they would leave such a prime time product hanging out there for so long with major issues... is it a bad panel ? or could firmware fix? did they abandon? gonna buy it anyway

Thanks for finally reviewing this thing. I wish the monitor world had more true Mini-LED competition like TVs do. OLEDs are dominating but not everyone wants OLED. At this point, though, I don't expect mini LED to ever succeed because of an onslaught of bad implementations and compromises across the board.

I'd disagree about the community sentiment regarding the plastic case, from what I've heard the plastic is definitely not as sturdy as a lot of other keyboards and feels a little cheap for the 200 US dollar price tag.

Can you game on 1440p on the LG C4 42" 4k? I have a 4060(planning to upgrade to 4070 super or 4080 soon). but at the meantime can I game using this GPU on LG C4 42" which is a 4k monitor? Is there an option to use 1440p resolution in that TV? Also can anyone share their experience using this TV as a monitor? how does it compare to a normal monitor?

C4 is a good hybrid. You can game, work and watch movies in this screen.

I would pick the Alienware, they just have a better QA process. Samsung's QA has always been dodgy.

I sold my 60HE and bought the 80HE, because I was missing the arrowkeys and F-row keys, I have also bought it with the zinc case. There was no quality or production issues with my unit (second founders wave) and I have no issues using it with 8k polling. The only downside I noticed with my unit, my Wooting keycaps are REALLY hard to put on or off and when trying to remove the switches I fear I break the included tool or the switch since I can't get them off, even with a lot of force... BUT since I don't intend to remove either (maybe keycaps at some point for cleaning), it is not a problem for me.

Spacebar is way too loud unfortunately, and most of the other keycaps with stabs.

Unlimited Budget monitor

I’m so stuck lol. These are my top 2. I’m not the fan of the OS on the G80SD, because I want a monitor and not a TV, and I wish it had a USB C like the Asus as I will be using it for dual Mac workstation and gaming Desktop. However, the ASUS looks too try hard with all the RGBs and edges.

Can you test the Zaunkoenig M3K? It's the best mouse on the market right now. More people should know about it

Do not get matte. I returned this and got a 42” C4 and it was the best decision ever. Forget QD-OLED or 240Hz, matte never looks like an OLED.

Wait till you get into the niche market of low profile custom driver Hall effects keyboards with 16k, 32k, potentially even 128k scanrate Chinese TikToker, eyejoker, etc also have expensive equipment to test them and rooting 80HE is fast but more towards the middle for latency

I had a Dell S2721DGF that failed because nvidia's "drivers" in Linux on the GTX 760 overdrove it (flickered, HARD image retention, and 2 days later after having it off for 5 hours to eliminate the image retention, it blacked out with the power on still). I replaced it with the ASUS ROG Strix XG27ACS. It's quite a bit better out of the box set to sRGB.

What monitor you should pick, it all boils down to what GPU you have (Radeon GPU (FreeSync Premium Pro from G.AORUS FO27Q3) or Nvidia GPU (G-SYNC from ASUS XG27AQDMG))

Why the pg32ucdm is better than xg27aqdmg? The xg27aqdmg have 760 nits and the pg32ucdm have 466 nits in 10% HDR, thay is very important point in oled monitor, ips 300 nits of difference

do u recommend turn on vrr in G8?

Dont worry about brightness. I need to close my eyes sometimes when i know a flash comes so i dont burn my retinas. I play at low light room.
