Hi p h. You know I also feel like the chime occurs a lot sooner when you're the first car. I think it's a lot easier for the car to read when you're closer to the light and there's nothing obstructing the view of the camera. That's a good observation. I don't think it's just you. @@W3I The more I use the chime, the more I think it just knows when you are first in line so it chimes almost immediately, and it knows if you are behind someone and it waits for the light to turn green and the person to move a certain distance away from you before it chimes, probably so you don't rear end the car in front of you.
The Green Light Chime is awesome, my cars have had this feature for decades, it was called my wife. But now if I’m alone I won’t look like the old vet fast asleep at the light that Jackson Brown sang about. Great vid. Now all I need is the .20 update.

Yeah I actually have this system too, although it probably isn't as friendly as your wife. 😄 My girlfriend yells at me every time I miss the green light. I am super glad that this feature came to The cars without having to pay for full self-drive! I I don't have to worry about being the person that takes forever to move when the light turns green anymore! 🙂
The cars all come with autopilot. If what's you're asking is if you need full self-drive then no you do not. I do not have full self-drive on my car and I have this new feature. It may be that you didn't get the latest update yet ? I am definitely curious on why you do not have this feature . What year and model is your car?

Very cool. Hopefully this new update gets rolled out for the Y soon. I’m actually getting new wheels and All Season Tires put on in two days, so I’m very excited to try out the new tire configurator. I had thought the Green Light Chime was going to come with 2022.16.3 but guess not. I noticed the chime sounded quite a bit later after the car in front of you moved, but it sounded pretty quickly if you’re the first car. Wondering if the chime is tied into your car spacing setting for autopilot, meaning, the chime will sound only after the car in front has moved a certain car length away from you, based on what you set. Overall, much more substantial update. Thanks for the video! ETA: Got the update 20.6 today. Not sure if the update is different for Model Ys, but I did not get the tire configuration function. Instead I got the Cabin Camera, Green Light Chime, and Seat belt functions.
Hey Peter! Let me know how the new tire configurator feature is!! I'm going to assume its pretty seamless and easy flawless! As for the distance wise, I think I usually set like 5 cars distance. That's actually really smart of you to think if it has something to do with the car spacing. I may play with it in the next couple of days to test it out! I think the car is usually a little later on the chime when you are behind cars since it may be harder for the car to sense the light has turned green or the car is gone in front of you. These are all great theories that may require further testing on our parts lol. Congrats on 20.6! That's strange you didn't get it.. Perhaps they are sending out that feature in future waves for the Y's? I do not have a Y but I will ask a relative to see if she got hers! edit: thats a tragedy you didn't get the tire configuration function.. considering you are getting new wheels!! hopefully soon!!

Did anybody experience the update stuck at 50% for this update? My version is updating from 2022.16.3 to 2022.20.6 but stuck at 50% for two hours.

Mine was stuck too, just have to be patient. Wait like 25 minutes and it continues. 2021 m3 performance here.

Do you need autopilot for this feature? I did the update and got on tire configuration on release notes
