I'm seriously hoping they consider adding more to the game. This is a framework with SO much potential. Imagine DLC for a new Ork murdering campaign. Or an Horde mode involving the Tyranids. Or some good ol' fashion Eldar krumping!

You should review Space Marine (2011)
It's basically the prequel to Boltgun.
It's also the greatest 3rd person shooter I've ever played. God damn if that game isn't a festival of gore and fun.
Boltgun is mostly Space Marine's conversion from 3rd to 1st person.

I like how the sprites are made to look like the tabletop miniatures.
Also, I haven’t played the game myself yet but I think you’d be able to pick up on most of the context for this game from the game space marine. Especially considering that the story of this game takes place after space marine’s and it’s on the same planet.

Got to recommend Warhammer: Space Marine. It came out some time ago and is superb! It is a 3rd person shooter and is a sort of prequel to this game (or maybe this is more of a sequel?). In fact, one of the taunts our space marine says is: "I will finish what Captain Titus started". Well you play as Captain Titus in Warhammer: Space Marine. Further I believe in both Boltgun and Warhammer: Space Marine we are fighting on the same planet: Graia.

The Doom 2016 movement mechanics really put me off this game.
The brief slow-motion mele kill mechanic also takes me out of the rhythm of a good 90's FPS.
The simple AI and lack of attack variety is also a disappointment.
It is a shame as this really had potential.

    Its a good Boomer Shooter!
It still is filled with 40K fluff, but its more like- enough for the player, be one who’s never touched 40K, or the 40K veteran to get the gist of what’s happening, and why they’re alone.

You can continiously smash the chainsword button to tearing through big enemies, stunning them.
For games I really recommend is the first Space Marine (to which Boltgun is a sequel-spinoff) and Dawn of War 2, a nice tactical real-time squad game with rpg elements. Think of Diablo but with more characters to control.

Yeah after the video im hyped. Also for other games? Warhammer 40k Space Marine..third person shooter similar to Gears of War but you mow down hoards of orks.
You said you already played Dawn of War but the Unification mod is a good addition to Dawn of War.
Darktide is average, i like to play it when i juat want to murder hoards of enemies..like in L4D.

Spark: Huh. Really? The difficult isnt grueling for sure, but there's a lot of sections it just thought were a little unclear and sometimes it felt like cheap deaths were common. It assumed you played on Exterminatus/Hardest Difficulty. And while every gun felt great, on Exterminatus, the shotgun lacks any damage because it seems that everyone has resistance to it, except for lesser plague toads where the situations for them it would rather use the heavy bolter anyways. It's in the middle of chapter 2 right now, so hopefully that changes. Also, the pulse rifle having a cool down after a shot before you can switch it right away feels REALLY jank, but it understands that's probably a balance thing.

@@omerfaruk-qg8ez Imo it depends on the quality of the game. Figuring out the cost per hour of a game can be good as a general guideline in cases where a game is extremely short or long but treating that ratio as one of the primary considerations when deciding whether or not to purchase the game is gonna keep you from playing some shorter games that are absolutely worth the asking price. Not only that but it's kinda bad for the industry as a whole, the strong positive association with a low cost per hour is the reason why a lot of big name titles are bloated with mediocre, boring, or bad content when they probably could have made a better game by trimming the fat and making a shorter game.

I think the difficulty could be a criticism for any other protagonist, but for a Space marine? No--you should be death incarnate and this game gives you that.
