- There were so many fishing blowing up everything that hit the water. It was almost impossible to get any bait through them. On this day we do some deep sea offshore fishing for many species of fish. We use live bait, jigs, and live crabs to hook some spectacular fish! Always a great time with the crew of @LandsharkOutdoors , @brookcristoutdoors and the whole crew! Shoutout to the @oceanslegacy7818 team for making this trip happen!

The only gripe I have with this reel is the weight, but that goes with the size of the reel ruclips.net/user/postUgkxM68VkfsQhHaabDce1IwOCXuvumcpbZ_k . I brought this salmon fishing up in Oswego, NY. I coupled it with a Cabela's Whuppin Stick. I had no problem pulling in a 14lb salmon. I will probably use this for surf fishing this summer and downgrade to a 3500 series Battle II next salmon season to save my wrists. All of the operations are butter smooth and the bail is nice and thick and has a solid flip to it. Everything about this reel is sturdy and strong. The drag system held up to the salmon and was also super smooth. I did use a scale to set the drag properly before going out to the river and this worked out tremendously. A bunch of other guys on the river would hook up and snap almost immediately. Just because you have a good drag system doesn't do anything if you don't set it correctly.

Purple spots can be from black sea urchins. Have seen it first hand when landing a few snappers that touched em near rocks. Permits run hard and are amazing to eat. They destroy conch slop as well.

I'm new to Florida and I'm new to saltwater fishing in general. I don't think I ever commented on your channel before, but I just wanted to say, thank you for the informative yet very entertaining video. I thought I was learning all their was about what fish to catch out there, but this is the first time I ever heard of a permit as a fish. I had to check out Fish Rules to see if there was any more information which there is, but I was wondering, are they called anything else ever by anglers? Anyway, thanks again for all that you do for us, tight lines, and God bless!
For permit sand flees. Ive never fished for them or even live in fl. But ive watched enough to know they like flees lol

I've seen spots like that in freshwater fish in Uruguay, in the fins and skin. Was a type of parasite that leave black cysts in the fins and skin
