- We caught some stud bridge fish right by a busy highway! We catch, clean, and cook a delicious mutton snapper as well as other fish species. Fishing from the bridges in the Florida keys can be highly productive for a multitude of species, even those that some consider "deep-sea" fish. We use various baits and different bridge/pier/beach fishing techniques to entice some bites! I hope you all enjoy the video!

What's your go to setup for fishing the Keys bridges?! Y'all use mono only or braid? Assuming mono only, what kind of mono line would you reccomend?
@5:57 might be a graysby? I only said this because I was curious about the types of strawberry/hind I caught when I was in the Carolinas. Was doing some minor research🤓
Correct on the Greysby Grouper, commonly called a ‘Strawberry’ Grouper. I recently caught one on slow pitch jigging gear on the Middlegrounds, about 14” and kept, great eating!

It’s called a “Camp Chef”.
Half Shell is a term for cooking the fish with the skin and scales left on.

It’s a coney grouper them and strawberry grouper look very similar I think that one was a coney but don’t quote me on it
Upon further review pretty sure it’s a strawberry they have black spots while a coney displays more blue or yellow colored spots

You got to be careful swinging them mitten snappers over brooky and letting it hit the concrete like that cause you can kill the fish and it might not be legal size what happen to the mutton snapper cause you didn't show it and you went to a little little fish but didn't show the snapper hope it didn't get hurt
