- More Lumens! Another day of lighting on The Project, this time with 4" LED light pods sent from Auxbeam sent to the channel for review. They are extremely bright LEDs consisting of both spot lights and Flood lights. The flood lights are on side thus branding them the "Side Shooter". Of course I had to install them differently... welcome to the project!!! They are installed in place of factory XJ fog lights. Saturday 9/22 6:00 pm just closed the hood the lights are outstanding! Installed the lights with bolts like you did, installed 3 ,1 inch round switches to the right of the shifter in the bezel(2 switches for later!) Works perfectly can't wait till dark! Thanks Dan!!!

I didn't need to trim the support the nuts fit perfectly in the channel!

You need to fix that trans cooler!!! It won't do you any good with air bubbles accumulating at the top. Orientation is key!!! Either on its side or tubes at the top is what you need to do. Just had to point it out. Love the video! Keep up the good work!
It was actually installed exactly as specified by the manufacturer. There hasn't been any problems. Thank you for your concern though 👍

The way you drilled that bar is way to risky, a small piece of wood between the bar and the radiator would have saved you from the heart stopping moment when the bit cuts right trough the bar.

I have a light dimming issue because my sub amplifier is power hungry. RF T1000.1bdcp. First I'll have to get a better alternator, then I'll get the light pods and fog lights. 😅

The wire part is a bit confusing. I have my own harness. Connecting to foglights But have a oem switch amd its pigtail. That i wana connect up on bezel.(my xj never had foglights.)
I love putting in OEM fog lights using the OEM switch in an XJ that didn't come with em. 👍

Thanks for the hood strut link! ORDERED!!! I actually purchased the Hood Pins along with Matts hood vents from BleepinJeep about a year ago.. theyre sitting in my Beach Jeep parts box collecting dust. lol
nice work, may look at these for my JK, but one thing I would have done differently is take the lights and face the side shooting bit to the ground and let it at least provide some function of illuminating the ground in front of the Jeep in tandem with your existing fog lamps, but that is just me and my thoughts, especially when we get that lovely New York/Connecticut fog that happens from time to time.....
Thats a great mounting suggestion, sometimes in the mornings and evenings the fog is opaque!

Dan, To answer one of your previous questions (can't remember what video it was in) you should (as long as the injectors are the same design) take the single hole injectors out and either put in the 4 or 6 hole ones, or even the 12 hole ones, I would suggest grabbing the 12 hole ones, they should work on 99+ (I can't remember if 98 and previous Cherokees have the same design)

LED's Look Great but they do not create Heat so in the Snowy Weather your up sht creek without a paddle. I'm sure the lens would not take kindly to an Ice Scrapper.

2/2 videos I have watched.. Neither time have you shown the night time shots.. Not going to have an urge to buy them or be interested if u don't show them. U keep saying u will show it but haven't yet.. Seems odd that there are excuses every time instead of just showing them.. Kinda seems like they're probably not going to be that good. And ur just trying to put it off this is coming from a new viewer perspective.. Not wasting my time on a 30 minute video if there isn't any beam shots.. It's just a 30 min install video after next video I'm giving up tired of wasting my time on reviews and ur not doing an actual review
You're absolutely right Mr. Name, My title was misleading. They were both installation videos and I have re titled them. Thank you. So rest easy there pal, the night shots will come. Its hard to give a complete review after only having them installed for 48 hours. I figured I'd give them at least a week before I give them full critique. Ill show you all of my lighting at night as soon as I can get the video out. BTW im not sponsored so makes no difference to me whether you buy them or not.
