YES FINALLY, i love the smaller lights and have been looking at the diode dynamics fog that are the double chip. Hopefully it at least points me in the right direction.
As long as you heat shrink the auxbeam it will be fine. Ive had them for years on my rig, they have been through snow, been fully submerged, and worked hard.
I’d you connect them right, yeah, you can reliably connect the wires. But the output is still worthless and most will probably not connect it with heat shrink, solder, or splice a connector.
Awesome video, adding combos to my rig is the next step so this video helps me out and being able to see the different types of beam patterns is very helpful too. I haven't done much of trail driving at night but I do a lot of desert driving and looking for a good setup for the campsite too. Thanks Again!!!!
How far away is that intersection during the combo beam testing? I was going for the Diode SS2 combos but seeing how the 2Bangers are doing even with the NCS I am going for those now. If light out put is very usable on the NCS, I don't need to spend the extra hundred bucks for the HXB. Just hard to exactly tell with camera settings, monitor settings ect.
While the Auxbeam and Nilight are super cheap, I don't get upset when a limb rips them off the truck..... Those high dollar light up like the sun lights don't do any good on wood trails.
@JC4041 I don't think you watched it or listened because who cares if a tree rips off a $800 baja it's lifetime warranty And the warranty process is pretty easy with them

Eye opening results. You can pay a lot of money for some pretty suspect results. Basically it seems the value is Morimoto on the high end and otherwise just buy the cheap stuff and maybe keep a spare on hand.
I personally dont have any personal experience with a lot of brands, so I find some stuff hard to believe some times. @@HeadlightRevolution after some deep investigation on all products from Morimoto and lots of video comparissons done by regular non sponsored and non product selling people... now I have to believe in the brand. I'm sorry, but for a relatively new brand to putperform names like KC, Baja designs and Rigid (yes, rigid has been very lazy lately). Well, it is hard to believe it. For someone like me it sounds like they are investing a lot in purchasing the opinions of reviewers and sellers. But now I am a believer. One question though. How would you compare a 4 bangger light bar to a gravity pro 6 light bar? I mean, I wouldn't change a KC gravity lightbar for a big banger one (I find it ugly), but a 4 banger looks quite nice. In terms of power consumtion and usable light output (mainly reach).
Individually the 4banger out preforms the pro6 single light. It's safe to assume MORIMOTO has the whole show under their thumb now, considering BD and Rigid don't publish their specs, it make sense most of the other brands outpreform. w@@69sound81
@@69sound81if you want to see another killer light brand that’s not even heard of them check out strands lighting. I run all strands light bars and morimoto pods. Absolutely killer setup and I get questions about it at literally every stop I make.

Would love to see this same format in the 3" size as well as the 5" ones! This format is amazing. Great job on this video! Hands down the best testing I've seen out there.
this video should have been divided or ordered from cheap to expensive pods, and also should have had a candella per dollar or lumens per dollar or lux per dollar table at the end

Thanks, my application is a mountain bike on the single track I'm planning to move my S1 wide cornering pods on my helmet. Wondering if I should do two 1 bangers wide or two 2 banger hxd wide on the bars
No - Morimoto does have an overseas manufacture, but not located in China. All of Morimoto's headlights are designed, engineered, tested, and sold in the USA.

Ever consider measuring current draw for each? To get a lumer/amp or lux/amp rating?
Good suggestion!
you guys deserve way more credit and recognition for these amazing tests
thank you! keep it up!

Much easier to buy pod lights that are ready to go out of the box 👌🏻
Or just add a connector to it.. Deutsch, Delphi weatherpak etc
With the exterior shots showing the road (with regard to wide/SAE fog patterns) were you using a single light or a pair?
Road outputs are shown as a pair

5:52 no warranty on these Morimotos?
Good catch! That is incorrect, the 2Bangers have a lifetime warranty.
Phenomenal job on this comparison!
Man you guys really didn’t give Auxbeam any chance lol it’s a decent light for the money.
have you tested LAS FIT lights?
Any chance of getting the morimoto into a kit that works to replace the 3rd gen fogs?
Quite possibly!
Have you guys tried rough country lights? Ive had rigid and baja designs lights but the rough country lights are like ⅛ of the price
We can add them to the list!
Which one is better?
It can really depend on what you need it for and what kind of budget you're working with. Our top picks are definitely Morimoto, Baja, or Diode!
thank you for a great comparison!
I thought i was sold on Baja Designs until I found Dark defense leds. High quality at a much better price
Good to know, we'll have to add them to our testing list!
dark defense are just chinese made leds
What? How is going from 785 lux to 703 and 30% loss in the first lights? That’s barely a 10% loss
Can’t find the 2banger on your web site! What gives?
Here ya go!
