@@PlaidAF Indeed. It's good to be reminded of what a real drag racer can do. OTOH, you can't take it to the local grocery store, or on a road trip. Thanks for sharing.
If you're going full drag racing, can't you remove all seats, unwanted weights, install lighter wheels, and change the body panel to custom carbon fibre panels
No interest to do that- This was simply a last minute run to the drag strip today, when I got there, they informed me of the new modified rules, so I did two qualifying runs (faster than 10sec and didn’t exceed 150mph)
It was randomly who I was staged against- I was simply running my 2 qualifying laps to get my NHRA license to be able to run 9’s and not exceed 150mph in an OEM vehicle without requiring roll cage and other upgrades…. And I just so happened we to go up next to a rail dragster!
@@Mr1Tanker the rimac does 1/4 quicker than the plaid, plus the plaid has never been able to reach 200mph since 6months+, the giant Porsche Cayenne turbo s has barely 600hp but does 195mph top speed just as example.
Plan to take the X to the track and see how much it can take before it’s done.
Gotta love a 9 second sedan. A true ass burner to the automotive world.
Best part is it doesn't even look like a 9 sec car it looks very sleeper
@@thedumbconspirator4956 my favorite part. And it’s a 10 year old body that never gets old
Awesome
Going to do the same test with my plaid here at the Icar race Track in Quebec!
That's hilarious that 2 seconds behind looks destroyed in this scenario
I know-
Like I was standing still!
My X P not in. Run the 1/4 mile with it. Or did I miss it already.
Wow! That dragster is almost as fast over the 1/8 mile as the Model S Plaid is over the 1/4 mile distance.
This is like watching the plaid smoke the taycan.
My commentary leaves ESPN in the dust 🤣
Way more entertaining.
A little longer and you’d see the explosion at the end 🤣🤣🤣
There are 2 electric rails right now that run close to that time at well over 200mph in the 1/4mile.
Plaid is amazing for what it is imo. 👍🏻
LOL, not much of a contest. The Tesla looked like it was standing still.
It sure did- it wasn’t a contest, it was one of my two qualifying runs to get my NHRA license. But the footage was too good to not share😜

Well that’s good at least we know a Tesla stands no chance against a rail

He would have to put a roll-cage in it, and/or a parachute...not worth it.

hahahhahahahahaha
Told the Fooligan boys that they needed a dragster to beat a Plaid, and there you go showing them that I was right!!! Thanks, Todd!
You don’t need a dragster to beat a plaid lol….. dragster is a whole new level.
You will get him next time Todd. Hold your head up high because you reached 150+ MPH. Holy shit ~ that’s fast 💨🤪🤩😎
Hahah!
150mph is definitely not that fast!
