To get an idea of what to expect on this channel:
Hi dear! On this channel I will share my journey with you how NOT to die from anorexia... I am still alive by the grace of God. I have suffered from all kinds of eating disorders since 31 years (!!) now. It is a miracle that I am still alive! And though I seem to be 'at my last end', I will keep trusting that I am still alive for a reason. One of which is to share my story with you. I will give all I have to give as long as I keep breathing. And I hope that you can use it for the better to prevent you and/or your beloved to suffer as much from this disease as I have. Topics I certainly will address: anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, orthorexia, intestine issues, intolerances, fear, anxiety, what I eat in a day, panic attacks, urges, overeating, undereating, purging, medical help, hospitalisation, inpatient treatment, outpatient treatment, twelve step program, spirituality, Higher Power... and so much more! Subscribe and like not to miss out on anything.

"Faith without works is dead." You have to do the work. Your biggest fear is the fear itself. You're so intelligent, that you're over thinking and analyzing everything. You control; you don't trust anyone. You're getting so much love and support; it's up to you to open up your ❤️ heart and except it and trust someone again. It's never too late to begin again. Choose LIFE! You want to help others? BE A MIRACLE! You have so many gifts. Sending big hugs ! 🥰😘🙏🙏🙏🇺🇲

Some tough words here, but so true. I am someone else who is rooting for you, Angelique. You remind me a lot of Psalm 22, which begins with, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” and ends with telling future generations of the Glory God has shown.

If you think about it Lique, the diabetes and intestinal issues can’t be fixed until you get on a regular eating schedule and gain weight. There’s a huge chance that once you start getting healthy you may work the diabetes out.

Letting go of the illness and trusting people instead stands in the way of many Ed recoveries. It’s the fear that breeds the need to control and to trust others requires acknowledging your own way isn’t working and someone else’s method might save you. It’s a humbling experience to realise you don’t have the answers despite having a great intellect. An Ed mind is a damaged one and healing comes when you realise you aren’t the best judge of what is good for you and you require assistance from others despite however damaged you are from previous experiences. Letting go of your own rules and trusting others releases shame and is the only way Ed’s heal

Healing from any mental health struggle is rarely, if ever, linear. Hindsight is 20/20 and you’ve learned from the past and are now making informed decisions because of that which is so important. I’m proud of you Angelique. You are bravely taking bold steps to save your life. I know God is with you and will continue to be throughout the next days and months. It will not be easy, pleasant or linear, but just continue to put one foot in front of the other and you will gradually move from surviving to thriving! I believe in you and am praying for you ❤

I am feeling so hopeful for you! I want to tell you about someone in my family who I love very much. She had a heroin addiction and lived like a zombie. She also became deathly thin because of it and we feared she would O.D., be harmed by someone or have a heart attack. Her battle continued for 12 excruciating years, for her and us as well. After so many years of stagnating, existing and not having a good quality of life, she decided she wanted more for herself. She had to give up many toxic friendships and that was the hardest part. She decided on her own terms that her fruitless lifestyle had totally run it's course, and she started over. That was twenty years ago. She was a brilliant mind and has an amazing professional job with computers and found love. Looking back at pictures when she was 30 years old and 90 pounds, I said, " I can't believe that was you." She answered, "It wasn't". I feel like you are at that point now. Your ED journey has absolutely has run it's course. I know you can do this!

My mom was anorexic when I was growing up. She started declining when I was 10. Everything was about control. She couldn't be alone because then her fears and panic attacks would come a d that was really not something I should have been around as a child, but this was 30 years ago and we were already poor and living on welfare in Germany.
Doctors told her to eat high calorie fatty foods because back then the misconception was that fat would make you fat. Now I understand that eating nothing but fat, which she wasn't eating solid foods due to the anxiety, but she would drink heavy cream...now I understand that that way of eating only made her lose more weight because she practically set herself on a ketogenic diet.
Watching your mother die every day and being tied to her bedside for a child is demonic as hell. I already had few prospects of a future being poor and she thought I would just spend my entire life taking care of her. I finally moved out after going to counseling with my school psychiatrist once a week and my grades declining. Nobody knew what was going on at home with me because the shame caused me not to want friends to see my mom like that.
Well, the welfare authorized for me to get my own place so I could graduate after my school psychologist advocated for me.
I ended up leaving Germany and I moved to the US.
My mom had replaced me with her mother. The whole family guilt tripped me about me leaving. I figured why they were so invested on trying to keep me stuck with my mom, because nobody else in my family wanted to deal with her.
I didn't talk to her for 10 years.
My grandma passed away so my mom reconnected in hopes of me coming back and I refused.
Now she had to do the work herself in getting better when she realized there was nobody there to enable her.
A few years later with lots of therapy, she left her apartment she hadn't left in 20 years and she got on a plane to visit me and we had our first solid food meal together.
She found faith in God and so did I, so to me our relationship now is nothing short of a miracle.
She's still in Germany and I choose not to return because Germany and the German mentality never sat right with me. Germans can be very judgmental and restrictive and I'm a free spirit kind of person especially after having been caged up and tied to deaths bedside.
My mom is now 65 and has a fulfilled active life and she's now overweight enjoying food again with her 45 year old boyfriend who cooks with her.
My mom's anorexia came from a chain of traumatic events that she had to face.
Doctors didn't really have the time to do the investigative work about the circumstances but her anorexia was psychosomatic.
I'm glad your friend found a way out of the heroin addiction and recovered.
It is possible, but the work is hard.
I can't get my childhood back. It was a heavy price to pay.
In a way I'm happy how my life turned out and having had that experience with my mom made me allergic to people's fears and people trying to project their fear onto me or trying to control me.
Looking back I now recognize that my mom was also a victim of narcissistic abuse and she was made the black sheep and I was made the scape goat.
Now I'm 44 and I suppose I'm "living my best life"...from welfare recipient to owner of my own truck and business.
I've made my "American dream" come true and my mom is able to share and part take in it.
She even spent 2 weeks on the truck with me. Like I said...we made up for lost time and now that we don't have resentments and guilt and the disease and the past separating us our relationship couldn't be any better.
I thank God for the restoration because the things that happened were pretty much impossible to overcome and to forgive. It truly took divine intervention.

Lique one thing that I've learned and has helped me grow for the better....is to listen to constructive criticism....it's not like great to hear ...but I be honest with myself....not judge but be honest....and I give in to what is right....then I make the change in my habit or behaviour etc etc.....and it has helped me alot.....so I've have changed for myself and others...and thanked the others for advise ....because this is help....but it's how you then help yourself . .it's easier to dismiss as judgement but if you use the honesty ....you will know what's best for you.....we do need others to help see from other stand points.....it can be such a true gift depending on how you receive it.

There's wonderful, encouraging song I was taught as a child. I would be reminded of it during the times throughout my life that I needed healing. "Shackled by a heavy burden. Beneath a load of guilt & shame. Then the HAND of JESUS TOUCHED ME. And now I am no longer the same. He touched me! Oh He touched me! And oh the JOY that floods my soul. Something happened & now I know!!! JESUS TOUCHED ME AND HE MADE ME WHOLE!!!!". Be encouraged sweetie. Send virtual hugs, smooches and prayers to you!!!

Hello. I just wanted to say that I’ve been through a very similar battle when I was young. Love is what you need, and assistance in eating. When I would eat, I felt such painful emotions and out of control. But love surrounding you can be very healing during this difficult process. Please know I’m always available via zoom…..or Facebook to simply listen. I want you to live and I hope you can find it within yourself to live. You’re so worth it.

April 11th set to enter a non eating disorder clinic where she will buy, cook and eat her own meals. But the clinic can offer support such as drawing blood and ordering blood work. Sounds like a free room situation for 6 months where she will not be alone. Changing her eating has to come from her.

I'm really proud of you for still going and still trying to find those loopholes and getting yourself in even if it's not 100% the treatment you need but at least you're in a hospital clinic setting that's awesome and don't feel bad about running away from treatment because I have been there. I ran away twice and sorely regret it I went back a third time but I was in the middle of a divorce and my insurance ran out cuz I was on my ex-husband's and therefore I had to leave and I have not been able to get back in anywhere since then which was 2019. I am almost at the worst it ever was and there's nothing I can do so I totally get it. you always kind of think the way any disorder is it that you have an option somewhere in your back pocket if you really need it but you feel like you are always in control. but in a treatment center when that control is taken away you do panic and that anxiety and fear is real and I completely understand and you don't need to explain it because a lot of people just don't understand that type of anxiety of being held in a place especially on a cert which I was on as well were it doesn't matter even if you really truly feel like you have a legit reason it doesn't matter they're not going to listen and they know it's the eating disorder talkin and you're trying to tell them it's not but it really is because it's become a part of us. I just wish you well and you take that 20% and you run with it because like you said prove them wrong. be stubborn use that anger and prove them wrong I'm praying for you girl❤🙏

Hi Angelique! This is a lovely video -- you have such a beautiful and genuine heart. I continue to pray for you regularly, as you are a miracle to so many people, and I can see that God is doing great work through you! Keep it up, and try to write down your blessings when you feel overwhelmed. When I'm having panic attacks, I generally talk to God -- I've noticed that as I do this, He helps me to rationalize better and calm down. Sometimes I also play logic puzzles such as sudoku. Just something to keep my mind working instead of worrying. Many hugs!!!

Bless you Lique. Thank you for your update.. Glad you have an admission date. It may not be the perfect place at the clinic in terms of being able to offer Eating disorder treatment. At least it's a safe place where you can be and maybe explore some of the underlying issues or find a nurse to talk to when the Eating disorder is strong and you feel panicky.
With just that little bit of extra help and monitoring you may find more strength to keep YOURSELF alive and get yourself a into a stronger body . Like you say from 20% to 40%,60%, 80% to 100%. You keep being the shining light and and be your own miracle. You are so s loved and have so many people backing you up and keeping you in their prayers. Keep an open mind to the opportunities that may lie ahead.... Have a blessed Easter sweetheart despite being alone in the house.
In the clinic, do you like jigsaws? Just simple ones to begin with. To release anxiety playdough is good to use as a stress ball, something to make silly models with,. Then squash them again etc..... Maybe learning simple origami or other paper crafts.... Listening to audiobooks on RUclips or if you have an Audible account , I'll keep thinking of ideas and let you know. Maybe even a little Tamagotchi,/Cyber pet to look after?!!
Take care of beautiful soul and keep true to yourself and who you are. Best wishes and lots of love from the UK ❤

Just adding that I am sending you all good thoughts and healing prayers. You CAN do it. Take it one day at a time one meal at a time. Remind yourself that you want life more than you fear the food or the illness with your intestines. I know others have said it is metaphorical that your hospitalization coincides with Easter. He has risen and you will rise from your situation and live again.
We are all here with you rooting you on! You are going to be a miracle.
I use music to pass the time. When I feel panicked I listen to those songs and watch the RUclips live performances and wish I could be one of the people I. Those videos without my chronic illness.

Lique, you are never alone! Especially on Easter, focus on Christ, who gave His life for you, don’t lose focus! I have found I am a very fearful person. Many years have passed, and I am finally learning to let go of my own control, one circumstance or hardship at a time. It is when we are at our weakest point, that when we let go, fall back into the everlasting arms of Jesus, that we find the deepest peace. He never lets go, He never takes His eyes off of us. It is we who wander away from His care, and protection. We are in God’s Grace, He has an appointed time for us to be born, and I believe also, a time to die, no one can change that! I am not saying we don’t care for ourselves and others, of course we are to take good care. Whatever God allows in our lives though, is an opportunity for our growth, and His glory, always His glory. He is patient, He waits for us to TRUST HIM fully. He said, you will have tribulation in this earth, and we do. He also said, be fearful for nothing, be not anxious, cast your cares upon me. I know that’s easier said than done, I am living proof, and I am not judging, because I am just beginning to see that by trusting God, that also means to let go of the many fears we have, of ourselves, and others,of life, of death, whatever it is. We are to trust Him enough to see that He does send others into our lives to help us. (That one’s for me!!!😢) It is a very difficult thing when a person has suffered abuse, childhood, or any life trauma, rejection, etc… but that’s just it, we walk by Faith, not by sight. Close your beautiful eyes Lique, let go, and keep trusting God to carry you through, He is your deepest truest strength, it is not your hurts, your past, your disorders, not even your strengths that ultimately sustain you. I have rambled on, and I don’t know always what to say, but my heart aches for you, and longs for you to heal and get better. We all would love that “meet and greet”, remember? ❤ You are in my prayers, much love, K🥰🤗🙏🏻❤️

Hi Lique, thank you for the update, I’m so happy you’re only a few days away from going into the clinic! You are going to do amazing, keep believing in yourself, take this time to fight and heal! Something I can advise for keeping yourself busy as I know quite well when you’re not feeling good it’s hard to read or concentrate on things. Podcasts of your interest, great to listen to. Audio books are wonderful. Get a sketch book and learn how to draw. You tube has great tutorials! Maybe get some of those word search puzzle books or sudoku etc. Recently I’ve been learning how to Zentangle, it’s sorta like abstract art, you don’t need any art skills. Ted talks - there’s thousands of interesting topics. Something else I really want to share with you is make a list of things you want to do when you get better. Make an achievable bucket list for yourself so it gives you something to look forward to and work towards. Have you ever thought about writing a book about your struggles? Maybe a autobiography? You could start writing if it’s something that interests you. When I have bad days and it’s hard to get out of bed, I sometimes watch live video cams from around the world. I see people, cities, wildlife, it helps me feel connected to the world. I hope some of my ideas will help you.. take care

I missed this earlier, but I'm here on the day of your admission! I loved the message at the end of this video. it's So true, you are such a wise helper 💗! I hope everything is going ok and I hope you aren't too scared 💜💜 if you DO get scared, it is ok - but you get to decide to fight for your survival and wellbeing. YOU WILL DO THIS! IT will be ok! (Also forget about survival percentages. I can say for sure there is NO way for anyone but you to know how you will do or what you will do!) I hope you can quickly make friends with some nurses/staff (being as friendly as possible always makes people work really hard for you and do things they normally would otherwise not do) - and don't forget you're not alone! You have us here too. As far as activities... one fun/low-effort activity that can be meditative and distracting is adult-colouring books. You can get them in many themes (like Biblical, nature scenes, quotes, etc.) if they allow art materials. ((BIG HUGS)) Thinking of you and sending lots of love.
