This is the Romulan T-10 Bright One class destroyer. 720p available. One of my favorite ships from the old table-top FASA Star Trek Tactical Combat Simulator game. The game came out in the 80's, so it was still common Trek-lore that the Romulans and Klingons collaborated on a number of ships designs, and this destroyer is a result of one of those collaborations.
This model was actually done in Rhino3d about 10 years ago, and the mesh was imported into 3ds max for texturing and rendering.
In the game itself it is a fun destroyer to play with, game stats are shown here:

The ship it attacks is a Larson Class destroyer also presented in another video on this channel.
I shall soon create a Lost Starships web page with more details on this ship there. Кино
The Romulans were always good at utilizing other starfaring civilization's technology. The Bright One was no exception! A real bad*** vessel! Thank you. :)
One of my favorite Romulan FASA designs!
This is so cool...you can so see how the Klingons stole from the Romulans!
+bpmacguy tearle Yes...just liek they stole from the Hurq! :D
I like the dramatic music! Cool ship too!
Nice use of Holst's 'Mars' from "The Planets Suite"...makes anything badass, but put a gorgeous ship over the music and the whole package is near-perfect!
Need to turn the music volume down by about 30%
Music was a little too loud and washed out the dialog sometimes.
When I started playing FASA Trek, I had three of these hunting in a pack, like the D7s as the start of the TMP
I miss the FASA Romulans. :(
I can't wait to do the Winged Defender when I have time - want to do a better version of the one you saw briefly in this one.
Just got my copy of the Romulan ship recognition manual via Amazon, so this video is pretty topical for me.
Rom'Inz
These videos are great. Please do more FASA Ships! Like the Chandley, Ever Victorious, Z-1 Nova, etc.
As a kid I remember playing 3 of these against a single Enterprise Class played by a friend. It wasn’t even close, the Enterprise stomped them.
This is Lee from Morena Shipyards! Just found these on a fluke. PLEASE keep them coming! I believe I recognized a name from the credits of the Larson vid (gugewalker? Sp, I'm sure). He posted a long time ago on Morena some incredible renders. I recognize his V-30 on the splash.
Best,
Lee
+FASAfan Tiz me! I shall do more! :)
I'm more of a Star Wars guy, but I gotta admit, THAT'S A GOOD LOOK.
I wonder how the Romulans would handle a ship with no optimal approach vector? In theory, a ship with long, narrow central wings and wing-mounted turrets and a narrow primary hull would be able to bring at least half its weaponry to bear on any one target.
I think they would fair poorly against gorn ships! :D
@@resurrectedstarships Decloak, fire plasma, recloak job done! Going with photons was the worst mistake ever made by the Romulans!!!
I bet you they've trained against it, if Star Fleet Battles is anything to go by. The simulator "races" are wild.
Every time I hear that music it makes we want to play Outpost.
Used these many times in FASA Starfleet Combat Simulator. It's power, superstructure and weapons were inferior to most other Destroyers. Despite what is shown here (rapid fire), it only had one forward torpedo launcher ( medium range 'Q", medium yield "10 damage") and 4 medium range phasers (N range/accuracy). The cloak did let it use those weapons to maximum effect by getting close, but after that things could be dicey.
That is so amazing
That is a scary one.
awesome I have two of these its one of my favorite fasa ships :-)
"122 crew btw, per FASA!"
T-10's were a PITA to fight in ST:TRPG let me tell you.....very hard to detect.
RSE Research Branch of FASA & KDF House of FASA...LOL, Nice
I LOVE THESE-but the rapid fire "machine gun" weapons instead of beams is not very Trek like. I know it's a FASA/STII era weaponry simulation but the speed and sounds are a bit jarring. Surely you can crib something closer to the STII:TWOK phaser look and sound? Other than that, I'm blown away- you've obviously got the same love of the FASA materials that I do! A REQUEST: Make a video on the Gorn battleship. That brick is slow but it'll take punishment all day long!
I wonder if a variant of these ships made it into the hands of the Maquis.
22nd century Klingon Bird of Prey ships were salvaged from old junkyards, made spaceworthy, given some tech refit, and put to good use by bad guys in several TNG episodes. One of them was even owned by a Ferengi businessman, lol.
So the same might be true of these century-old destroyers ... although the Maquis operate far from Romulan space and could probably find cheaper/better sources of used starships.
Where’s the Klingon parts as the bird of prey was originally romulan not Klingon
Alpha Canon conflicts - Klingon BoP-style ships in ENT, "Klingon" BoP in ST3 supposedly a stolen Romulan ship, etc
Beta Canon conflicts - certain authors pushed forward their own versions/opinions, other authors picked sides, etc
While apocryphal canons frequently mention a (vague and variable) Klingon-Romulan alliance or tech exchange ...
I truly enjoyed watching this video!!! It's very very fun to watch!!! I've always wanted to see a TOS / TAS Federation-Romulan Hybrid ship!!! Any thoughts please?
Actually the Klingons didn't steal the technology.
They traded for the hulls of the scout ship plus some older cloaking tech.
This is all FASA canon..which was given the nod from Paramount.
Guess I'll have to dig out my ship recognition manuals.
Why does the watp naclles look like a statfleet warp nacelles?
classified.
Stolen tech courtesy of the T'al Shiar.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...what have you done to my V-7 Aye Mosaram class cruiser?
Do the Nova class battleship
What the fuck is that, they wouldn't have built that
That decloaking sound... from EVE Online huh?
Elzon1 never heard of it!
This would have been so much better without background music
Music is too loud.
Jesus you can't hardly hear the man talking because of the f****** music the music is too loud
Music is to loud.
