  • In this video I discuss about what foods to avoid and what foods to eat in order to reduce pain and inflammation in the body. This diet is beneficial for Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) or any other arthritis as well as for people suffering from any autoimmune disease. I talk about AIP or the Autoimmune Protocol diet and how to get started with it. I also provide tips for vegetarians since AIP is hard to do if you are a vegetarian.

    This video truly tells the proper solution of the correct things to eliminate for getting rid of RA pain.However, for me In nightshades potatoes cause an issue while other night shades dont cause any problem.Also as you mentioned go grain free,so chapatis made of Cassaava flour can be consumed right?

      Yes that's why elimination helps. Avoid everything first and then you can add things that your body is ok with. Yes cassava chapatis are ok!

For the turmeric part, you say try 1tsp up to 3x/day for severe pain - is that turmeric powder or is it chopped up fresh turmeric 1tsp/3x day - for most effectiveness? Thank you for your video & reply.

    I had severe joint pain for years. Within a few days of starting a keto carnivore diet all my joint pain went away. Then a year ago I tried the vegan/McDougall herbivore diet the pain immediately came back twofold. So I decided to go 100% raw and that didn't help whatsoever unfortunately. I did give the vegan diet a month, the starch diet a month and the raw diet only lasted two weeks as the pain was intolerable. My doctor asked what diet changes did I make because not only did my pain suddenly return but I gained almost 15 pounds or a little more than a stone. My doctor advised me to go back to the keto diet so I did and the pain was totally gone in just a few days and within a few months I was back to my healthy weight of 165 pounds or just under 12 stones. So the way I see it, some diets/lifestyles work better for some and other diets may be better for others. Just depends I guess.

    • @Cook2Nourish
      @Cook2Nourish  5 лет назад

      I totally agree with you that each individual is different. But overall grains and legumes are not good for pain and a keto/paleo approach is good for most people. In your keto carnivore diet, do you eat vegetables at all? thanks for sharing your experience here with us!

    i find a pesto made of parsley, koriander, lemon juice, sea salt as well as some local+organic cold pressed rapseed oil we have where i live and which is very rich in Omega's, and having the perfect Balance of them, very helpfull, fresh herbs in general are the most powerfull foods.
    i also love fresh tomatoes out of our garden and lots of chilli, the hotter the better, so not every one is the same, these have helped me tremendously, i also love our Potatoes, they are very healthy.......i do love Garlic, Ginger only as Tea, or extra Medicine or in Asian Foods, Turmeric only in organic Milk, i do not like the Taste and do prefer something local like Artemisia Annua Plant which growns here wildly or Thyme or Rosemary. :)
    Things which i must totally AVOID is Alcohol, white Sugar, most industrian Sugars, and as for Honey etc. only use it as Medicine, if i do bake sometimes i use only Raw Sugar and also cut down the Amount in the Recipe. Most Grains; but funny enough i totally hate and can not eat Full Grain Wheat, i can eat white Pasta 1x a Week, i love Oats, no Problem and Spelt and Buckwheat, etc. I also love Sourdough Old Fashioned Rye Bread with 30% Wheat......every now and then, but not each Day, with organic Butter....Noone will take away my 1 Cup of Fairtrade Coffee a Day, even if i made it more of a Cappuccino latelly, added more Coccoa then Coffee.
    Too much Meat gives me Hotburn, so i eat good Quality max. 2x Week, or 1x Meat and 1-2x Fish.....with me much depends on the Season of the Year, Time of Day also.
    I i did realise that eating locally and seasonally, if possible organic, its Best for me. But local and seasonal is more important then organic.....idk but thats natural i quess, which is why i do not eat many Bannanas these Days, and i def. do NOT eat Quinoa, its the Main Staple of the Native People of South America and bc of the vegan Vibe and Ideology they can NOT afford it anymore, bc it has gotten so expensive, what an Outrage. I also must avoid most Legumes, except for Green Peas + and our local Farmers Lentils.
    I do eat Oranges, Bloodoranges, and other Citrus Fruits, espec. Lemon, and Dark Grapes, espec. and only those with Seeds, and if they in Season, preferably organic, are great at the End of Summer and Fall (Grapes, we even have them in my Town) AND Wintertime for me (Citrus), they do provide the much needed Vitamin C, which repairs Cells. And Italy is not far from where i live, so its different then Bannanas. My Favourite Fruits though are all Berries espec. local Strawberries, which grow here from End of April-August, and if we plug them ourselves we can eat as much as we want on the Side, without Cost, and the ones we plug are much cheaper then in the Store. I also love Wild Garlic, Mushrooms and Blueberries which we bring Home from the Forrests when each is in Season.
    I have had chronic Lyme Arthritis for 10 Years and all the Above plus taking Hot/Cold Showers, stopping with Cold, Sauna and Swimming outside when Summer as well as Sungazing and Sunbathing, is what has helped me lots, i did try what u said once and got so much sicker.....so again, not everyone is the same, some of us brake when told that even the Joy of trully good Tasting Foods and Rituals of their Forefathers are not healthy, which is not true. With chronic Illness is trial and error and no Day is the same. Medicine does NOT have to taste Discusting or be hard or expensive to get bc from very far away. On the Contrary! I detest any dogmatic Ideology, Balance is the Key.

    AIP was absolutely horrible for me! I got sicker and sicker on it. Was way too much meat. I’ve been reading that a vegetarian diet or the Mediterranean diet is best for RA. You should actually reduce your meat intake aside from fish and beans/legumes are actually good for you.

    • @Cook2Nourish
      @Cook2Nourish  2 года назад

      When you were doing AIP, did you make sure to eat only grass-fed or pastured meat? The quality of the meat is one main reason some people don't do well on it. If you eat processed meat, then you are likely to have more inflammation.
