Upgraded to the Apple Watch Series 8 from the first gen SE and to me it was a big upgrade. Having more health features such as the ECG and Blood Oxygen is great as well as the AOD. I also see improvement in battery life. So far I’m loving it.
I’m an athlete I go very hard I sprint jump high and fast and do powerful movement I don’t do cardio would those features apply to me gingy? Or should I just go with the 7 my hands and fingers are big if that’s significant?
The processor on the S8 is simply a rebranded S6. Apple has not announced a performance bump since the S6. This is a plus for those looking to purchase an older model.
I love my series 7 45mm . I like the fact that I can check my blood glucose level without having to pull out my meter. It saves time and keeps me more compliant with my glucose level.

S7 and S8 are literally the same chips except for the required hardware on the chip to support the thermometer and crash detection. The performance will be the exact same since the processor part of the SoC is literally the same.
I got my series 7 a couple weeks before the series 8 launched. I'm still really happy and satisfied with my 7. I dont think I'll really need the temperature sensing because I dont really wear my Apple Watch frequently. great video as always dion!

I’ve been looking for reviews on these watches based on the same reasons and almost no one speaks in-depth about these features. Wasn’t sure how accurate those features are. I want to track blood, oxygen and heart. I heard it tracks your temperature to let you know if your getting sick from a reviewer but didn’t hear much else on the topic Edit: further into the video he explained both watches 7&8 has those features so that helped

Hence, it take a lot of time to calculate their menstrual cycle since each women may not have the exact date of mestruation. Furthermore, the accident crash detector, this was even designed even better since accidents like crashes should be aid ASAP. These features are awesome! Btw, I love watching your videos! The series 8 literally only has 2 new features: crash detection and temperature sensing. I don't think it's worth $100 more, the series 7 is also a way better value than the SE. Otherwise, if you have a lot of cash, you could go for the Ultra.
According to my past experience, it's very important to buy technologies as newer as possible. I bought iPhone SE 2020 in 2021 and unfortunately I had issues with LTE during my trip to SF in 2022. 5G has much better coverage in SF than LTE. So, in case of Apple Watch 8, the chip series 8 should be supported much longer.

The S8 SiP is literally the exact same performance as the S7, which already was the same performance as the S6.

They are capable of fast charging, but you still have to bring your own power brick (which should be according to Apple 18 Watt or above)

In terms of support, the S6, S7, and S8 all have the same processor, so I’d expect there would be no difference in that.
It’s an annual difference, so expect a year of additional support, not years. Not sure where that math is coming from
