I have Ulcerative Colitis and couldn't make a whole food plant based diet work for me. I had flare ups about every 2 months while being on medication none stop. Next stop would have been immune suppressants. I didn't trust my body anymore. I didn't want to go out anymore or travel, because it was more stress than enjoyment. However luckily I found this book on Amazon. I can wholeheartedly recommend "Self Healing Colitis & Crohn's" by David Klein Phd. 6:15 yes we can.. we eat raw meat all the time, beef taretare for example, sashimi, we eat lots of raw meat its totally safe, were just careful when it comes to raw chicken because it has the potential to give us salmonella, but if treated properly it is safe to eat raw, its up to preference really Edit: animals dont eat fur, they tear it off to get to the meat, we literally do the same thing with butchery
5:35 and canines for tearing into meat... were omnivores, animal proteins are the only complete sets of protein we can gain access to to help us build muscle
Been trying to manage my iron. My dr told me to stop the bacon and eggs and go for green veg. Sounds good 2 me. I'm looking too much like a cow at the moment! 😅 (i'm obese)
We are omnivores. I'm sorry but what happen to our ancestors eating mammoths? There was no food industry or marketing to tell them what to eat? Also on biological level we are not like herbivores, we cannot digest cellulose, the intake of dietary fiber by modern humans is low. And vegetarians need supplements to even survive - like vitamin B12 that is only found in meat, eggs, etc. Milk is controversial but some of us can actually digest milk because of a genetic mutation.
I'm sorry this struck me as a little too religious. Seems like a lot of these really strong advocates for one way of living it really turns into a religion for them and then you have to do everything that they say or else you're falling off the wagon or you're out of the program... As someone who would no longer call themselves a Christian and has encountered this in churches with a title a lot...it's very very similar to me and i couldnt finish
I guarantee if you gave the same 6 weeks worth of 2 hours of excercise 6 days a week and whole foods INCLUDING meat, everyone’s health would improve. We’re not herbivores no matter how much you want to believe it.
I understand this is a vegan manifesto but when he started calling non plant based foods bad and scare monger the surgical options that have saved more lives than endangered... that's when I stopped watching further. Miopic view is dangerous.
If we are true herbivores, how come we cannot produce our own B12 vitamin like cows do? I've been called a heifer once or twice lol and the truth is I kinda wish I were, then I could go back to being Vegan without that uncomfortable but important question in my mind.
10 mins in- A lot of misinformation and pseudoscience! I’m a nutritionist who studied the human body at uni. Pleeease follow the guidelines of certified nutritionists and registered dieticians, they’re based on scientific evidence, not out to trick you 🙏
Your education has been funded by meat and dairy corporations and marketing. If eating meat and dairy is good for you why does everyone eating meat and dairy eventually get sick. Most of the science now supports a plant based diet for optimal health. Have you ever heard of the China study? Biggest nutrition study ever done,?
The guidelines recommend dairy, but over 70% of humans do not have the enzymes to tolerate dairy. Sus, no? Please follow the money: What people make the guidelines, and whom are they getting paid by.
Yeah, unfortunately, nobody here is going to question the b.s. about how milk makes blood more acidic, which is ridiculous. They're just going to attack the dairy industry which, while not entirely undeserved, is another issue altogether.
Humans are definitely omnivores. The best evidence is our teeth: we have biting/tearing/ripping incisors and canines (like carnivores) and chewing molars (like herbivores).
Which animal have you killed and ripped apart with your incisors so far? They are actually tiny. More for piercing an apple. But surely not to kill chicken, pigs, ducks, fish, cows,...?
@@Bloxehfish is definitely eatable with biting. Also, early humans with no utensils had bigger stronger Jaws there are also thousands of years of proof they actually hunted animals. You think our ancestors just killed prey for sports? Your reasoning is extremely shallow. There are multiple reasons to say for a fact that our ancestors are omnivore and how many reasons are there that we are only vegetarians?
@@dodgek5270 The OPs argument is, that our teeth are the BEST evidence for eating animals. I argue, that it isn't, because our teeth are not great for killing and ripping apart animals. I don't claim that our ancestors did not eat animals, I claim that our teeth were not the reason for it. Use cases for canines vary a lot among animals. From killing, boasting, defense and more. Our tiny incisors don't explain why we mass breed cows - for example.
@@Bloxeh okay but isn't that a moot point then. Because the video literally says that we should be veterinarians because we don't eat meat uncooked. Which isn't true also. So this guy made a point to counter that but you also think that humans ate meat before so you know some facts about human history and anatomy and biology and evolution. You should correct the video for talking BS specifically on his reasons why humans are vegetarians because he was being very misleading and implying that our ancestors doesn't eat meat because we can't eat raw meat. Which in fact we do!
@@Bloxeh oh and by the way I agree with about 90 % of the video as I'm a vegetarian myself. But I just hate flat out lies to try to sell his products more.
Think you are genuine but you have swallowed too much vegan bs e.g we are designed to eat large bovine (digestive physiology ,high acid stomach and large brain for hunting). Dairy is tolerated by many humans and I agree that processed food is bad. 6 weeks [plus cardio and weights just to confound the experiment) will see weight loss on a vegan diet but you're going to be protein,b12 and iron deficient at some point. And lots of people don't tolerate lectins, oxila sotes or gluten well so plants aren't our natural food. Just what we eat when we can't get meat.
Agreed. Being vegan and vegetarian is great but there is absolutely no scientific logic to human being vegetarians. We are omnivours and we can eat the whole animal every thing without bad consequences if the meat was disease freed or rotting etc. Alot of carnivorous animals don't eat rotting meat too. Also, I know you're American so you probably don't understand that the world is bigger than the US. But alot of culture alot of animals raw and whole like everything. You're world view is very narrow to your perspective. But I do agree alot about the benefits of being a vegetarians. Just don't spew propaganda.
I'm trying to figure out what McDonald's in 2023 serves salads because they took those off the menu years ago. Is this an older documentary? I'm really curious because yea salads at MickyDs doesn't exist 🤔
@@charliesgrumma5388 I agree on that. Only vegans are so delucional, that they clame of a diet, where you need to use supplements, is the most healthy diet there is. in actuality, carnivore diet is most healthy and optimal to humans, and plant based diets is the worst!
The diet and exercise program did help, but definitely not sustainable for most. Working out 6 days a week won't last, and the body needs more protein to survive.
Agree, there is a strong deficit of Protein in these diets. WE WILL NOT BE AS HUGE AS CALVES,😂😂 We don't ingest the same amounts of Milk as "baby Cows".( yes, Americans, that's a Calf) What a ridiculous comparison to make 😮😂
No it doesn't. Most people eat too much protein and it's not great for the kidneys. I haven't eaten meat in over 20 years and have just as much muscle as the next woman. I was vegan all through pregnancy and my son is now a vegetarian and is muscular in the 96th percentile for height. My son's pediatrician/phd has been doing this for 20+ years and thinks it's great he doesn't eat meat and says it's healthier he doesn't. You guys really have an old fashioned way of thinking about food. Unless you're a body builder you don't need a lot of protein. And no we aren't carnivorous... look in a cat's mouth and then go look in the mirror. You aren't a carnivore.

I am now medication free since 6 years, lead an active life and enjoy a whole foods plant based diet.
I can't really put in words how grateful I am for this book, because it gave me a second chance on life.
I think/hope this could be helpful. All the best!
I'm also whole food plant based but people has to go in other isles for other things except fruits and vegetables. Seasoning, legumes, grains, nuts and seeds. If you buy water. So many other foods are in the aisles. People just have to learn not to pick them up.
inspiring
Outstanding, thank you! I appreciate all of you sharing your stories, I have one very similar🎉
B Vitamins & Minerals!!! For moods.
For my entire adult life, I have HATED the thought of being weighed at the doctor visit.
I was REALLY concerned about Don at The Swamp, whoa
I lost 65 pounds in 3 months
What did you do? I wish my fiancé would
I agree with the constipation part!!! Coming from someone with digestive issues it freaking sucks and yes I want to punch myself in the stomach all the time! 😢
I am struggling with plant-based and I am under a doctors care...I seem to be missing something...I would love to drop the rest of my weight in a year...I have dropped a great deal so far but seem to be in a holding pattern now...I have a bad knee that needs replacing and struggling to drop the 30 lbs to get the knee replacement. I walk and peddle but still seem to be going up the scale and not down...my doctor said stop focusing on the scale but everyone seems to lose and I am not...
Are you sticking to unprocessed plant foods?
@@shanDalicousI second that. No margarine, no oil, not added sugar. Just simple ingredients processed in the own kitchen. Obviously you can still overeat (eg with nuts/seeds, dried fruits), but it is not as easy and more obvious.
Molly is so cute ❤ beautiful Lady
The Kaufmann Diet is the best all around diet. I think fungus is the main cause of disease. Any whole foods we can consume is far better than eating all that processed food. Key factor - avoid sugar and processed foods
Molly is gorgeous.
What is the music during the workouts it's pretty heavy and I love heavy 🤘,but you guys did awesome keep trying and never give up
How many calories per person and day are we talking about in this diet?
Allison is cute. From the beginning.
6:15 yes we can.. we eat raw meat all the time, beef taretare for example, sashimi, we eat lots of raw meat its totally safe, were just careful when it comes to raw chicken because it has the potential to give us salmonella, but if treated properly it is safe to eat raw, its up to preference really
Edit: animals dont eat fur, they tear it off to get to the meat, we literally do the same thing with butchery
"Only Omnivores that eat meat get heart disease" that is a bold, false and stupid statement.
5:35 and canines for tearing into meat... were omnivores, animal proteins are the only complete sets of protein we can gain access to to help us build muscle
Which is why all non-meat eaters die of cardiac arrest a few months after going meat-free
People also killed each other, nobody told them to do that either. B12 is added to animal feed. Lol
It doesn't have to be plant based. We are not cows you know.
We are great apes. Plant based
I did not see them eat grass though? What have cows to do with a whole foods plant based diet?
I'm sorry this struck me as a little too religious. Seems like a lot of these really strong advocates for one way of living it really turns into a religion for them and then you have to do everything that they say or else you're falling off the wagon or you're out of the program... As someone who would no longer call themselves a Christian and has encountered this in churches with a title a lot...it's very very similar to me and i couldnt finish
It's not amazing for people to break chains, it's amazing when they're never put in them in the first place.
Wait-Carly or Juan Carlos??
Carly is his nickname, shown in a caption in the beginning.
I guarantee if you gave the same 6 weeks worth of 2 hours of excercise 6 days a week and whole foods INCLUDING meat, everyone’s health would improve. We’re not herbivores no matter how much you want to believe it.
Humans are not herbivores …

FAR too much commercial in between

I understand this is a vegan manifesto but when he started calling non plant based foods bad and scare monger the surgical options that have saved more lives than endangered... that's when I stopped watching further. Miopic view is dangerous.
If we are true herbivores, how come we cannot produce our own B12 vitamin like cows do? I've been called a heifer once or twice lol and the truth is I kinda wish I were, then I could go back to being Vegan without that uncomfortable but important question in my mind.
We depleted out soil of natural B12. Thats why. You know Where meat eaters Get b12? Its added to the animal feed

10 mins in- A lot of misinformation and pseudoscience! I’m a nutritionist who studied the human body at uni. Pleeease follow the guidelines of certified nutritionists and registered dieticians, they’re based on scientific evidence, not out to trick you 🙏
And yet, your knowledge cant help us 😢😢
Your education has been funded by meat and dairy corporations and marketing.
Cool, vegan 💚
OMG the vegan police!
I’m an carnivores
@@dodgek5270No proof of humans being omnivores. Where is the proof?
Milk causes osteoporosis? 😂 FFS
I'm trying to figure out what McDonald's in 2023 serves salads because they took those off the menu years ago. Is this an older documentary? I'm really curious because yea salads at MickyDs doesn't exist 🤔
Here in Japan McDonald's sells side salads, they also sell edamame & corn cups.
Depends where u live , in Austria we had Salads recently. Maybe because people buy them 😅
Also in the UK.
Stopped watching at 5 minutes, bye😂
Why not go keto\carnivore and exersice? Much better for your health.
Because it doesn't"t fit in with the lies and deceit they are promoting.
@@charliesgrumma5388 What lies?
@@jannetranberg7186 *the lies told by all vegans about MEAT BAD - KALE GOOD!*
@@charliesgrumma5388 I agree on that. Only vegans are so delucional, that they clame of a diet, where you need to use supplements, is the most healthy diet there is. in actuality, carnivore diet is most healthy and optimal to humans, and plant based diets is the worst!
Farmers are always catching living chickens. To eat them.
Eggs are good for our brains & hormones development & maintenance balance!!!

Vegan bs. Unliked.

The diet and exercise program did help, but definitely not sustainable for most. Working out 6 days a week won't last, and the body needs more protein to survive.
Agree, there is a strong deficit of Protein in these diets. The body needs to rest in between Exercise sessions, not Exercise to extremes daily, or people will eventually tire of exercising or risk having an injury. Sensible levels of regular exercise are needed to maintain a long, healthy life, even just Regular walking. Most people don't want to look like Muscle- bound Body Builders. It's not a great look!😮 A Vegan diet is not balanced enough for Humans, although I do agree that America adds a terrible amount of unhealthy Additives, unnecessary Supplements and all sorts of rubbish to its foods, and Restaurants serve unnecessarily HUGE portions. Humans have Incisor teeth because we are designed to be Carnivorous, no matter what rubbish Vegans love to spout!!. They just try to brainwash people.😢 AS A Nurse, I refute that whole lie.
@@andreaaldrich4046 I'm not a brainwashed, tunnel visioned weirdo, either. Hence, I'll continue to be CARNIVOROUS. Also, I don't care what your Paediatrician says. I'm a fully Qualified MIDWIFE and a fully Vegan diet is neither safe nor sufficient for a Developing Foetus, but if Vegans wish to play Russian Roulette with their babies' development, ...it's your baby. !!!
Most definitely NOT recommended for babies Post delivery , either, but Vegans are so generally blinkered and selfish they just think about themselves, anyway. 😮
You just jog on and do you and leave the rest of us alone to be ourselves. NOT VEGAN, NEVER GOING TO BE VEGAN😊 I eat a balanced, healthy, protein packed diet ( meat firmly and forever included) and am happy with that, thanks very much.. ZERO cares given about your thoughts.
@@jacqueline8559 I'm 'murrican, and I know a baby cow is called a calf, alright? I also know that humans don't drink as much cow's milk as calves(plural of baby cows!)do.
