Facts! I’m from California so growing up I never really heard anything bad about my body. But when I traveled to the south, I was attacked relentlessly for being skinny. It’s almost like this type of lifestyle is praised smh Nonetheless, I hope all of these kids and their families are doing well.

My heart breaks for these kids, it’s not their fault. Their weight is a consequence of their parents decisions and not being able to say “no” to some foods.
Tatum Soto true and simple, the food culture starts with parents. If parents give bad food to their kids, it’s a form of child abuse, because they are setting kids for failure in the society and life.
Pathological parenting. Obesity isn't even the problem anymore...these same kids spend 12 hours a day on screens and will be a taxpayer burden for their diagnosis of digital dementia in less than a year. Sad, but when the schools close down they will have no chance/low chance of living a decent life.

20 years ago I know of a mother who had social services involved as they threatened to take her child away due to neglect bc she had made him morbidly obese. He was 8 years old at that point. It’s not love it’s neglect of their health. It’s literally harming a child. How can she be surprised if she’s the one feeding him?? And the reporter is acting sorry for the mother like she’s not the one responsible- with some sad music in the background. This is a disgrace. Stop playing victim and take charge of your child’s health or have your child taken away. It’s a form of child abuse. Get him on the carnivore diet- he’ll stop his cravings after a few weeks. Brianna is so well mannered and respectful. A beautiful girl inside and out. Edit: People are really mean. At my elementary school we had this thing called "a healthy snack cart" and basically every two lunch periods this lady would come around with a cart filled with snacks like cheese strings, yogurts, fresh fruit, cheese, crackers, peppers/carrot sticks and the cart would stop at every class. You could take whatever you wanted from the cart for free and sometimes she'd have students help her out/assist her with handing out the snacks. It was pretty popular. There'd even be baked goods occasionally, like little cinnabuns or apple crisp. Honestly, it was a really good idea looking back and I think every school should have something like that.

It's not about ignoring him, if he's really hungry for a snack, you can have a piece of cucumber, a carrot, an apple, you choose my son, but this is all that's available.
yupp, if he was really THAT hungry he'd eat the fruit. It's clear that he just wants more food.
Fruit has a lot of carbohydrates, notably fructose which is toxic to the liver and turns off fat burning. Eating fruit just makes you hungry...so not a good idea. Instead - green leafy veggies, broccoli, spinach, cauliflower and cream soup with chunks of chicken. Yum. That will fill his belly and let him lose weight.
@@Pravda_Z Eating fruit can also be a great snack for kids who don’t appreciate greens, and the way you describe it sounds too keto-ish. Seriously dude fruits are healthy af, if you want some protein to balance it out just eat a small yogurt. To have junk food as lunch in school is beyond crazy
it’s really common especially since a lot of school lunches taste awful
So true. Here in France there are only healthy options, and water to drink. They expect children to be healthy but the school cantine isn't even setting a good example. It is so sad to watch, they have no clue and aren't given the tools to know or do better 😢
@@7fiona7Seems like it’s purposely set up this way here, they have been speaking of how the food should be healthier in lunches, and many districts were making them healthier, and yet over the last ten years it’s actually worse, they offer healthy options in a lot of schools, yet continue to have all this sugar and junk available, and every one can’t understand why diabetes is soaring in kids, teenagers, and on up, and now the same is happening with colorectal cancer, it seems the people who can change this don’t care, or worse, want people to get sick, and of course, money is made off all these cheap, processed foods, and then for the healthcare, despicable
Free lunch food but the kids have money for junk. A great once a week BUT everyday!!!😮
I live in Latvia. Here it is actually illegal to sell foods at schools that have more than about 15g of sugar. And I'm pretty sure that most European countries have that. At our schools you will never find a deep fryer.
That’s sad
likewise, in Australia trans fats are banned in fast foods and processed foods are taxed at a higher rate than fresh produce. One if the few government policies I can support in this current age of lunacy and victim rewarding.
Edit, we also do not have free school lunch. You bring your own lunch. Usually a sandwich, piece of fruit and water. Our canteen, sells some snacks, but parents must provide their children money to purchase candy and that's rare.
@@abdisheiko8131 lol. The lunch system is different in Latvia or Lithuania where I am from. The state literally monitors that kids get a healthier option. You would never find a can of soda in our schools. Another problem - most kids don't eat at school, they go to the shops around.
Well here...they Want our kids Hooked on the crap I guess idk..it's gross. I normally only bake or boil. Sometimes fry in olive oil.
Wish Australia would improve what is allowed at schools too. Our state's vary a lot in most Victorian schools your kids can't pack chocolate etc but on Queensland it is fine. health pros who want to have the contentents of snacks targeted at children to be capped for energy density and sugar but gov won't do it. I agree. Let him cry! He'll be fine. It isn't hunger. He is behaving like most 4 year-olds do. When he was begging for the candy and told him no because he was over 100lbs that didn't affect him. He doesn't grasp that number and information at his age. And he's FOUR! It isn't his responsibility.
