Joseph Park/Abyss is so talented. One of the most underrated guys in pro wrestling in my opinion. It's crazy how he can play the monster Abyss and then play a very gentle man in Joseph Park. Two characters who couldn't be any different. Not many pro wrestlers can change their gimmicks like he could.
Yeah and now he's a producer for WWE. He played as a statistic analyst as Joseph Park for AJ Styles in WWE for 2 episodes of Smackdown but then out of no where disappeared and started working backstage with Vince
Fr, he can play the weak underdog or the hardcore maniac
It too bad he had no discipline with nutrition or he could have been pushed to the moon.
I was watching a lot of TNA when the Joseph Park thing started. I didn't even know he was Abyss until a year later. That's how good the dude was.
I missed the good old special events. That's including master balls, lockdown, ultimate x, king of the mountain and the list goes on and on. Please bring them back 🙏

I remember the first time I saw Abyss, dude could move like a 180 pound bruiser and at that height he was a GREAT character, he was the perfect monster.

They fought countless times back in the IWA a Puerto Rico wrestling promotion in early 2000's When Judas was under the gimmick of Ricky Banderas and Park was under his Abyss gimmick

I liked Judas old gimmick with the dead eyes it was awesome
He came from IWA which it was Puerto Rico's prime wrestling company at the moment and it had a great creative team. He developed a great character over there but the problem with PR wrestling style is that all they do is grab their opponent by the hair and walk around punching and chopping chest so by the time he went to TNA for the first time he wasn't ready for the amazing American pro wrestling style. It wasn't until he went to Mexico's AAA that he developed himself as a true competitive wrestler and held a great set of movements in he's arsenal. Mexico turned him into one of the best Latino wrestlers of all times and definitely the GOAT of PR modern pro wrestling.

Yeah, he gave up the mask to be a comedy act. It was interesting at first but noe well done and it over stayed its welcome. He should just be Abyss while he can still go.

There was a whole sort of feud between Abyss and Foley and Abyss mention how Foley was like an Idol to him.

2013 apparently. This is new to me too. My guess is that because Judas was only there for a few matches (one being for the world cup competition, hence why they acknowledged his past success elsewhere) in 2013 they decided to ignore that history of Judas and Abyss being brothers.
