Many times people compare abyss with Kane and call him copy of kane but only tna viewers from 2002 to 2012 know what abyss had put his body through, so much blood so many chair shots on heads, tagpins wires glasses. Kane had never gone this much extreme. And all TNA matches was badass during this period❤
They didn't copied kane, they copied mankind
If anything I would compare him to Mankind not Kane
I always thought of Abyss as a hybrid of Mankind and Kane.

yhis type of match is why i started watching impact 20 years ago
TNA Impact was the first wrestling I saw as a child, back in 2005 on Eurosport
Times my have changed around us, but I still look fondly back to these times
The sting/abyss rivalry was one of my favorite rivalries in impact wrestling because it was about sting wanting to save abyss’ soul
They should have done another one of these during the lockdown. Also, Sting and Abyss turned what could of have been awful gimmick matches into absolute bangers.

yeah wwe is still a playpen never going to get back the magic it once had because it wants to appeal to babies where AEW and impact wrestling fans love blood and violence and wwe marks still make excuses for there precious sports enterainment.
@@ronpaul1268 Hey dingus, WWE can still draw full-capacity crowds at every arena they travel to 365 days per year. And AEW has proven that they’re more than capable of doing the same thing on their schedule, too. IMPACT Wrestling however, was only able to pack lots of ppl inside all the venues they’ve held events in until they started losing money during the mid-2010’s.

They ruined tna when they remove the six sided ring to put the traditional one
They did that for wrestlers safer this ring was stiff to take bumps on
Can I just say, this match would lead into the “Last Rites” Match, or as I would call it, the “Fire Russo Casket Match”
If only they had watched wcw in 2000.
