They really helped me with that...for whatever reason I used to think that things had to be built a certain way with certain techniques and certain materials. Its quite freeing to realize the simplicity of 'if it works, it works!'

Hot glue = Quick release mechanism lol
Hot glue on metal, quick release, hot glue on shoe soles, extra quick release, hot glue on polyethylene foam, not so quick release.

There was a game back in the day called "Crimson Skies". They had crazy vectored thrust. You guys should try one!

Crimson Skies was AWESOME. You could even functionally customise planes to some extent. And as cool as those planes looked on their own, one of the coolest parts was their launching from, and then docking in, giant armed Zeppelins.
oh yeah i remember this game! The was even a small series of books around with the story and the whole setting. The planes really looked cool.
I still have the CD but it doesn't work with current graphics cards

Bring back the World War 2 Video Game “Crimson Skies” back made by Microsoft. That game had all sorts of airplanes and a Blimp Aircraft Carrier.
I had the sequel for the Xbox and it was one of my faves. Can confirm, lots of cool planes to try re-creating!
Since you guys asked, a great video game based aircraft to recreate would be the Micro-Fighter from Just Cause 4! :D

Making a small plane that has a larger plane attached to it that it can shed would be a wild project.

SERIOUSLY agreed about the P-40!!!! I think it was 3 months ago I commented asking the same question and FT answered "The P-40 is coming very soon"... 3 months ago :( This whole 1 video a week thing isn't as fun :( Is it just me, or did there used to be a Wednesday and Friday schedule going on?
Honestly, I'm just glad to see them working on an AIRPLANE instead of a box fan or boomerang. The flying tank was cool and the giant A-10 project was AMAZING!
@@udokaiser8445 Couldn't agree more, and then asking for people to pay for "more" content, and now "sponsored videos...I am sad to say that I see a unsubscribe in the very near future. And when I say I'm sad, that is an understatement. FT planes and design techniques are what helped me progress my build and flying skills. Now I can't recommend it to people :( I truly hope that the FT family can get this stuff straightened out ASAP.

that would be a tougher one i think since the actual Pelican was a jet powered aircraft and could fly in space. the Falcon helicopter, was prop powered. the one version from Reach would be cool.
A plane ive been dying to see you guys make is the Christmas Bullet. its not from a video game but I LOVE the history of how it came to be. and the main wing is completely unsupported and suppose to "flap freely like a bird"! the plane never flew and killed all of its test pilots. Would be cool to see if you guys could make one fly with a flappy wing!
The plane in Fortnite has better physics than the “simulator” I just flew at the Air and Space Museum in DC.

the "fortnight bi-plane" really reminds me of the old British torpedo bomber (The Swordfish) i know some of the characteristics are different but its really reminiscent of that, id love it if you could build a Swordfish Mk I or Mk II + it'd be something cool to add to your bi-plane collection :D

This isn't necessarily a well known video game plane but it came out as an enemy in Airstrike 1945. It is the German Focke-Wulf Triebflügel prototype VTOL interceptor. I think it would be an interesting challenge to create.

1. Galaxy (large armed transport),
2. Liberator (three person gunship),
3. Valkyrie (light armed transport),
4-6. single-seat fighters specific to each of three factions.

Short answer is yes, it will fly. If there is one thing I have learned from scratch building RC planes, it's this: You make a brick fly if you have enough power to weight to move it. It's more a question of will it fly well or not. RC planes tend to follow most of the laws of aerodynamics and physics involved in real aircraft but not entirely and even the most goofy of contraptions can be made to fly (Look up videos on Mike Haddad and some of the stuff he's built to fly. You'd think it wouldn't, but it does).

You could duct the air through the engine bay and out behind your foam engine pieces on either side. You may even put flap doors on the exits to effectively make air brakes or ad vector thrusting controls since that would be behind your wings and you'd have the space. Just link it to your flaps.

You said you were looking for new planes to build, I've got two. The Gatchaman "God Phoenix" or G Force Battle of the Planets as it was renamed in the States. The other one is the old Gerry Anderson Thunderbirds stuff. I personally would love to see Thunderbird 2, the transport. It had the most character and was used in just about every episode. Keep up the great work and I can't wait to see what you guys come up with next!

War Thunder Nerd got schooled by Russian War Thunder nerds
It resembles mostly the Soviet Polikarpov I-15 bis, because the landinggear has those wheel pants, but the upper wing is directly attached to the fuselage, wich resembles a I-15/I-153
I just have to say that I love your work on those bi-planes, great work in what challenges that come in your way. But one thing I want to say is there's one game I know. Years ago back on original xbox. It's called Crimson Skies - High Road to Revenge. A great game that I enjoyed with I think six to eight different planes and a single heli-copter, I had so much on that game. Just thought I'd give a shout-out on this old game, Hope you guys enjoy on your future projects. ^^
