Y'all should make a monster spitfire next, then have three iconic allied fighters play laser tag with three Axis fighters.

The P-51 Mustang is one my most favourite WW2 planes ever! It’s just a beautiful aircraft how can u not love a plane like that.
I may be American but I’m rooting for the Me-262! It’s just such a beautiful, unique plane for its time!
262s are beautiful planes. I love them, especially since I love jet engine aircraft and it’s the worlds first jet.
Coolest thing about War Thunder is i can watch this whole episode while on a timer for a naval match.
‘Realistic battles’, only 10% of the time in battle goes to fighting. Such fun!

Great build, I've just scaled a Dauntless SBD-5 Marine ver. and I'm 35% into it. I think this would be an excellent challenge for John to work with, dive flaps and all, although I'm not sure if the 20" prop with your 4030 motor is sufficient... You guys keep the inspiration going, wonderful job!!!

One small problem, the red tails were a squadron of African Americans. Chuck Yeager wasn't part of the red tails.

I've always loved the red tails paint scheme, and the first two 262s shot down were by tuskege airmen anyway, and both in a straight up dogfight
The large scale planes fly so much better then regular models.

A word that Josh constantly uses, is “ FELLOWSHIP”. Fellowship is something that has been lost in this country for many years. This clean and creative hobby/activity, is something that can bring back decent Young men and women. Hats off to the FliteTest crew, for bringing it back! Parents, should take a lesson from you all!

P 51 and ME 262 are my picks for the greatest planes of ww2. Both in looks and combat
Right now I have an about 1/30th scale P51, the only difference between this and mine is one is a piece of foam that gets carried away from my house by the wind, and the other is an airplane.
The battle is coming soon!

Credit for the first Messerschmitt Me 262 jet fighter to be ‘brought down’ in combat belongs to Joseph Myers and Manford Crory of the P-47D-equipped 78th Fighter Group, who manoeuvred a 1./KG 51 machine into the ground on August 28, 1944. The German pilot survived. No shots were fired by both sides. It happened again on October 2nd when P-47D pilot Lt Valmore Beaudrault of the 365th FG caught an Me 262 out of fuel at low level, forcing it to crash land. Astonishingly, the pilot of the jet on both occasions was Oberfeldwebel Hieronymous Lauer who survived both encounters.

It's all good when you have a 5 man build crew! Clamps are nothing when dealing with foam and hot glue, you need hands.

I've moved to a new country and cannot fly anything over 250g until I've learned the language and passed the relevant tests. Here's a challenge for you, what's the biggest thing you can build under 250g? Maybe an inflatable? Helium assisted? DLG?
Maybe it was mentioned before but General Yeager’s planes were named Glamorous Glennis. Great video. Enjoyed the flying.
That's Glamorous Glenn II or III Roman numerals after the name, not part of the name, but the number of which current plane he was flying at the time.
If you took a cylinder, cut a large slot in the top, took a large EDF and funneled the thrust into the slot and put a mesh screen in the slot to keep BBs from falling into the EDF when inverted. Then add six 6mm tubes routed to sprout out the historical gun locations. When you turn the EDF on it will fire all the BBs out the tubes. You can now have a compact MG setup where you can have wing guns and have pretty much all of the workings in the fuselage. Depending on the size of the EDF and the weight of the BBs(Heavier would be better), you could actually get it to shred the foam board.

As the whole thing was huge, you must fit a rugged diy plastic V-12 soon too with fully functional crankshaft and pistons with conrods and it might give the mustang another realistic touch of the P-51's sound

Thanks for staying fun. The plane hobbyists is not increasing fast enough to keep the local rc shops open. I like how my kids like all your stuff and seam to be warming up to planes instead of tablets. Now if I can just get an ix12 so I can fly my planes. I'd even pay for an open box, demo or scratch one at this point. My gen 1 dx 7 been dropped 1 to many times. Staying with spectrum, ready to upgrade, like all the stuff you fly and use.
