I got Saint saying, "Guardian, I will hold this barrier no matter what." Most badass line.
@@gordonramsme2599 I like the Mithrax line because it shows how far Saint has come with the Eliksni. In Season of the Splicer, we learn that Saint was seen as a boogyman to the Eliksni. Now they view him as a hero.

Lore-wise, Saint-14 wasn't kidding when he said he would keep that bubble up as long as necessary. I want to say he's kept that bubble going for hours, if not days in the lore.
I mean in Season of the Witch, he kept his bubble up while endlessly beating the shit out of Savathun... Let's not forget to mention that his helmet blinds those he sees an enemy.
@@ReikiBlackSaint is really an awesome character because I can recall my first reeading about him and thinking he was just some pumped up wrestling star. Naw dude was always standing on business. Someone says he can do somehting, he can do it and probably more.

this last battle was possibly the greatest cluster fuck I could've ever participated in. 12 people in one lobby annihilating anything that moves. Fucking beautiful.

Even better is that the Unending Darkness debuff made is you can't use supers, but Saint keeps one going the entire time

If you did the ghost missions that required you to find statues and then go to the destination to find a missing ghost those missions have alternate dialogue in which one of them has cyades reaction@@redonyx5428

I loved hearing his urgency regarding the nightmares on the moon, just for Ghost to tell him they were resolved years ago.

Which is in my book for the best, a characters death only really has value if it sticks, bringing back Cayde was already a risky move but to me they got good value out of his return then sent him off where he belongs, dead but not forgotten.
Especially happy he did so handing over new hunter reigns to Crow.

Cayde is actually blind. When Zavala was giving his speech, Saint was standing right in front of the group next to Osiris and Nimbus, who's easily the tallest person there only under Savathun. And Cayde never even noticed.

considering how many titans (me included) wear his helmet he probably thought it was someone else.
Asking Cayde to pay attention to a speech is a big ask

I mean if the witness wins, she loses. Its a common trope for mortal enemies to put aside their difference if something even worse is happening (examples from other games include Super Mario RPG, World of Warcraft, that one scene in halo where the flood teamed up with us for 2 minutes to stop the prophet of truth from firing all the halo arrays, and more).
Savathun is an especially weird case though, because they very well could have decided to write her as a deliberately antagonistic ally that no one actually believes because of her past. I mean look at what she has done since ditching her worm:
- Attempted to seal the traveller away from the witness to stop him enacting the final shape
- Sealed away Rhulk, preventing the Witness from using his greatest weapon
- Provided access to the traveller through the 15th wish
- Got the shit beaten out of her by saint 14 over and over again
- Sent lightbearing hive to infiltrate the pale heart by stowing away on the black fleet (Luzaku), who she is actually proud of (Look up the interaction between the 2)
- Brought to our attention there were veins of light that could only be accessed through the ascendent plane (which Mara uncovers during the Excission fight)
Basically everything has been with the sole purpose of stopping the witness, regardless of cost. Granted some of these would have been disastrous for humanity (especially point 1), but if Bungie decided to not make Savathun an antagonist anymore, I actually wouldn't be surprised at all.

I recommend people play the 12 man mission several times you get different dialogue a lot. Definitely one of the best ones right here
"We are the first knife!" ohhhh the implications ALONE from this line. That's not even considering the fact that the Witness even denies it's not the Winnower. Implications...
I'm more annoyed that the Traveler didn't give Zavala back his Light. The man's sacrificed everything for the Traveler. It owed him at least that, if not answers.

if you read the exotic sword Ergo sum lore tab the traveler thinks of the light as a curse/burden that only it should bear, do remember its choice to release ghosts to others was only because it was the travelers only choice to save itself
again and again, this is NOT how the traveler works y'all
I think Cayde couldn't stay, that was foreseeable (even though I would want that)
But he should have gotten a slightly longer cutscene, rest in peace my friend
But also love a certain detail
In Forsaken, Cayde told us to Tell Zavala and Ikora that the Vanguard is the best bet he ever lost and he told us in the Ace of Spades mission (through a recording) that we are his favorite
But in Final Shape he told us directly that we are his favorite and in the recording that the Vanguard is the best bet he ever lost
So the two lines are swapped, but when I noticed that I had to cry
The day before the finale, I was listening to his messages from the Ace of Spades mission because I had some feeling that Cayde would sacrifice himself. Hearing him directly say "You're my favorite" cut like a knife though.
Even if I saw it coming I had to mentally process what happened before getting in my car and going for a drive to think. Only to cry a bit into it while listening to Deep Stone Lullaby.
Bungie did a great job wrapping this saga up with one hell of a tearjerking ending.
This makes me sad we didn't get a Cayde mission involving Europa and the Deep Stone Crypt before he died for good. Would've been interesting to see what he thought about the true creation of the Exos and how Darkness was involved.
One of the Micah-10 missions takes you to Europa, during the mission Micah asks Cayde if he remembers anything about the Crypt, then theres some dialogue taking about Cayde before he was a guardian, not gonna spoil more.

Overall I think they dud a very good job with dialogue showing Cayde react to the things that have happened since his death, but I do think they missed out heavily on some reactions. Most notably I wish we could've seen Petra talk to him, considering her involvment in his final moments and our revenge against the Scorn and Uldren
Saint is just a different type of Titan! Full on BEAST MODE!

Savathun only helped to essentially clear the deal. We remove the overwhelming threat that Xivu poses with her throneworld and she helps us with the fight. Once this is over we’re on a ceasefire with her

she wanted the Witness dead as much as we did. Obviously, she has ulterior motives for helping us, but she helped nonthelesss

The mission for Deterministic Chaos imo was a great character moment for Nimbus. You could really tell they were trying and failing to hold it together to “stay strong” for Rohan.

1: He was brought back to life via a wish dragon. Him not staying alive for long likely could have been the twist.
2: The Ghost has said that Cayde's Light was similar to that of a Ghost. Meaning he likely could do some of the same things Ghosts can, like bringing back the worthy dead back to life* and the Ghost did sacrifice himself to kill the Witness.
*This likely means that Cayde would have been able to do the same with any Ghost that sacrificed itself, like Targe or Sagira. At least, as long as there was something remaining of them.
