I liked that there were 3 Guardians wearing the original Vanilla D1 armor that was shown in posters and commercials. Perhaps they’re coming back in Lightfall?
I know things can't stay the same but that original armor style that was a little junky a little post apocalyptic is EXACTLY what I love and want to see more of. The "Prodigal" sets are the first ones I unlocked with transmog when they came out.
Something I just noticed. Eramis looks at the screen to see the Witness and looks back to see nothing. I think that she was seeing its reflection, and looked back only to realize that it wasn't in the room with her. That's what made her pause and feel so uneasy, allowing Ana to have just enough time to pull the plug.

I honestly thought Rasputin was going to become a guardian after his sacrifice, because as the speaker said to gall, “ bravery, inspires sacrifice, sacrifice, inspires death” Rasputin checks all the boxes so he could come back as a guardian. it’s possible.

@@rhinocort1184 the Traveler is a paracausal entity, theoretically it should just be able to decide not to be there and in doing so simply not be there, I suppose maybe the Pyramid ships block its power and it's still damaged but if it doesn't need to follow causality then it can have effects without course so it should be able to be somewhere without haveing moved to get there, at least as I understand the word paracausal anyway.
Rewatching this make me really pissed at the current state of this game. We’re in week 6 of Season of the Wish and I feel NOWHERE near the way I did by week 6 of Season of the Seraph. This game feels so hollow now. It’s saddening.
I don't think The Traveler was trying to run. I think it knows it cannot win in the up coming battle and so it decided to lift itself out of orbit to keep from falling on top of the Last City when it finally meets its end. Don't sleep on The Traveler. I have a strong feeling it's not going to how down without a fight. There was a scene in one of the Lightfall trailers where the Witness comes face to face with The Light and has a surprised look on his face. I feel like The Traveler is gonna go down swinging and might even do some real damage to The Witness and the Black Fleet.
100% calling it now, witness was hyped up as the main bad guy, they are gonna pull a fast one and the traveler gonna one shot him, stealing his power for its own, and the traveler will be the final boss...
It's a shame that such a good ending to one of the best seasons Destiny's had in a while was squandered by the story of Lightfall, executed so darn poorly in comparison.
The iconic picture of the Traveler of Destiny. I still remember the time when the Red Legion invaded the Last City, took the Traveler, stripping all guardians of their light, then the light was given to Dominus Ghaul, but then was ultimately defeated by the Traveler after we took him down in his physical form. The Traveler had it's shell a bit damaged after breaking free of the restraints by the Cabal Red Legion. There was a shard of the Traveler within the EDZ that our guardians then were given light powers back as it is not with the rest of the Traveler, and a fighting chance to go up against the Darkness in the most of desperate times. Lets not forget that before we went to retake the Last City from the Cabal Red Legion, we had to disable the Almighty, a Cabal superweapon to expel planetary matter into a star, thus shortening it's lifespan by a lot, then would explode and destroy an entire solar system. Bungie needs to bring back the Red War campaign.
Love the effort they are putting into the cutscenes instead of just some person standing there staring at you while you read a brick of text. Has more of an impact I feel.
All the OG Destiny players remembers that shot at the end where the traveler was floating in space was from the D1 reveal poster 😮💨😮💨 Yeaaa this season was the best. Not gonna lie

I kinda miss Rasputin now after rewatching this a year later, as much as we thirst for more with destiny and get let down from time to time with story lines there have been a lot of them that were memorable over the years
I,m Really hoping this was planned as as “Independence Day 3” kind of spinoff, with the traveller just being a giant sized white orb superAI like the movie had. Or atleast if it was planned this way, then it was beautifully executed and super Sci-fi’ed to do it a job well done.
I missed out on destiny not because I didn't have the game but because I worked the weekend and the few times I did get to play with friends they were lightyesrs ahead of me. Like I was starting out and they were ready on the moon and mars. Good times.

its not trying to leave, it already chose humanity as worthy fighters or to bet on long ago. This is a statement move, 'leaving' but not leaving. If it wanted to leave it can teleport like at the end of witch queen campaign (throne world in mars, back to tower) to literally anywhere. The traveler has been paying the price for saving the witnesses people, now its time to settle that. It's making a point for those who doubted it before, by leaving the tower, but yet standing by humanity. Would it be wise to have the pyramid ships flying above the last city on earth, again? like in the first collapse...

I kinda miss Rasputin now after rewatching this a year later, as much as we thirst for more with destiny and get let down from time to time with story lines there have been a lot of them that were memorable over the years

I,m Really hoping this was planned as as “Independence Day 3” kind of spinoff, with the traveller just being a giant sized white orb superAI like the movie had.
Or atleast if it was planned this way, then it was beautifully executed and super Sci-fi’ed to do it a job well done.

I missed out on destiny not because I didn't have the game but because I worked the weekend and the few times I did get to play with friends they were lightyesrs ahead of me. Like I was starting out and they were ready on the moon and mars. Good times.

Egregore in the room with Eramis, and the Traveler actually trying to leave Earth is wild. It’s not here because it wants to be, it’s here because, like the Darkness said, it had nowhere else to go.
its not trying to leave, it already chose humanity as worthy fighters or to bet on long ago. This is a statement move, 'leaving' but not leaving. If it wanted to leave it can teleport like at the end of witch queen campaign (throne world in mars, back to tower) to literally anywhere. The traveler has been paying the price for saving the witnesses people, now its time to settle that. It's making a point for those who doubted it before, by leaving the tower, but yet standing by humanity. Would it be wise to have the pyramid ships flying above the last city on earth, again? like in the first collapse...
