- A very special thanks to MR Robert Farmer from Carbis Bay, St Ives,Cornwall for shooting this footage of the late great Jeff Healey at the Islington Academy in London, England 2007.
The line up of the Jeff Healey Blues Band is guitar- Jeff Healey, guitar- Dan Noordermeer, keyboards- Dave Murphy, drums- Al" baby" Webster and bass- Alec Fraser with Randy Bachman Formerly of The Guess Who and Bachman Turner Overdrive sitting in with some great guitar playing on While My Guitar Gently Weeps.
There was a big tribute night planned for Jeff`s family at the Sound Academy in Toronto, Canada on May 3rd,2008 and The Jeff Healey Blues Band backed up an assortment of guests that were friends of one of the greatest musicians ever.The line-up was Ian Gillan, Jack Bruce, Randy Bachman, David Wilcox, Colin James, Matt Minglewood, Wild T Tony Springer, Blue Rodeo, Danny Marks, Jimmy Bowskill, Alan Frew, Alanna Miles and The Jeff Healey Alumni Band. I love Jeff's spirit and his persona reflects his good soul. His talent is remarkably different from other guitar players. Go BLUES Go!!!!
Jeff Healey was one of the great musicians. He not only played incredible guitar, right up there with Clapton, and Knoffler, he loved rock n roll as a soul music. And he was equally good and and fond of blues; old, old, blues and old old jazz. He did a show on CBC called " My Kind of Jazz" which was just wonderful using all his own collection of 78s.
What a guy, Lord how we miss the good ones.

Somewhere/when in some universe within the Cosmos, Jeff, Jimi & Stevie Ray playing a gig together.Right at this very instant in time that -you- read this. That's comforting; to know that something that freaking awesome is out there somewhere.
I am weeping now. Shit, Jeff was an inspiration to us all. God bless his family and may his memory live on.

Oh yeah Bachman can play like the rest of them. You gotta hear the rest of the BTO songs on their albums. I'll always remember Jeff In Roadhouse With Swayze. I'll bet they are gonna jam out "She's Like The Wind" up in heaven.
