If I were to integrate Ecwid with my squarespace site: 1. Do I track my shopping cart/purchases and shipping activity in ecwid? 2. Do I create shipping labels in ecwid or squarespace? 3. Do I make new email notifications for shipping and delivery in ecwid or will people get the notifications from squarespace? 4. Do I need to choose a payment plan like the business plan to integrate if I have more than 10 products in my squarespace or can I use the free version of ecwid to integrate?
I sell many different products from Tshirts, sweatshirts, blankets, sports products, design services ,etc..... Do they allow you to add categories? Ive been on the internet for 3 hours now researching and all of the demo sites I've viewed through all different Ecomm platforms don't seem to have good options for categories that are easy for customers to just hit a dropdown at the top where you would put "shop" and they can choose what category they want to shop for if that makes sense. Trying to keep pricing down at first just to see how things go but seems maybe Ecwid may be a good option. Would the "Venture" plan work good for something like this? Thank you for the video!!
I think you are talking about setting up the navigation menu rather than categories as basically every platform allows you to create categories. Ecwid does allow you to create a custom nav menu even though it isn't the best system but most platforms allow some customization of the nav menu.
Thanks for the video. Quick Question... would Ecwid be suitable if I was to run a wholesale company and use my ipad for a door to door visit and take order? ie: will it help me create a proper invoicing instead of just receipt? Will it keep customer's record? past orders etc? Thanks
Not really as it isn't really designed for wholesale or to be used for face-to-face transactions. You would be better off going for accounting/invoicing software for that
what i liked is that you can try with 10 products for free...i also like that i can add the widget to an existing site that does not have a checkout or product...
Hi Paul, I am a total novice to online sales, i even struggle with ebay! I have a question, i use sum up bank which offers a very basic website building software, it is simple but basic, i cannot add sub categories, and sub sub categories which is important. I think it is for those just selling a few different items, i however stock hundreds. I read that ecwid can be tied in with this though so my bank acts as my payment gateway, and due to the nature of my business (smoking paraphernalia) it is hard to get payment facilities. Do you know if this is possible to combine ecwid with the sum up
Hi, Sumup isn't listed as one of the payment gateways available with Ecwid, so I'm not sure whether it is possible. It might be best to contact Ecwid directly as they may be able to point you in the right direction.
Question, what's a good platform that will help protect you from scammers / charge backs? I'm noticing that people are getting scam by buyers. Help please.
The platform itself won’t make any difference in terms of scammers/chargebacks as they don’t handle payments. The payment gateways you use will have the biggest impact and what fraud filters you have in place but some niches/product types are just more likely to attract scammers.
With the free Equid site 10 products would be a good 1 product store. I've been selling Cambodian Silk using it. I wanted to ask can you add affiliate products with the free plan? Also how many free plan stores can you have?
Do you mean add an affiliate program for your own products or sell other people’s products as an affiliate? I think you can have multiple free plans, just use different email addresses.
I currently use Ecwid and have not been happy. I’m having tons of people starting checkout but no purchases. Speaking with Support they’re not sure why the customers who started checkout aren’t being registered. Meanwhile I’m still paying for the site. Not happy
@@EcommerceGold yes and so have they. I’m honestly assuming it’s issues with the whole site. Right now they’re investigating because I had a day that over 100 people started checkout but no follow up email was sent.
Do you know if Ecwid plays well with Homestead? I'm redesigning a site for a friend, but will migrate him over to Google Sites if Homestead gives me any grief.
Thank you for your tutorial. I am looking for a way to sell on my blog. I’ve gone through ~25 (+-) tutorials on how to add the woocommerce plugin to my blog. If I understood you correctly: If I open a free online store with Ecwid (just for 10 items I crochet as a hobby) and add the ecwid plugin to my existing wordpress, it will give me less pain and headache than the woocommerce plugin? Thank you
No problem. Yes, that is correct, just sign up and then install the Ecwid plugin and connect your Ecwid store to your WordPress site, I've covered setting up Ecwid in my full tutorial ruclips.net/video/ROlwjqr6zZw/видео.html
Some platforms offer a migration service, there are also companies that will do most of it for you or you can do it yourself, which will generally involve exporting all of your information (products, orders, customer info etc) and then uploading it to your new platform but you will need to check that everything copies over properly, then you need to 301 redirect your old URLs to the new ones as most platforms have different URL structures and submit new sitemaps to search engines. That is a brief summary anyway.

Everything related to ecommerce would be done through Ecwid and you can use the free plan but why wouldn't you just use Squarespace for your store?

@@EcommerceGold thanks for the quick response! I’m working on it now to see how it goes and appreciate the video!
thanks well done great info
No problem and glad it was helpful
Thank you for this great and honest pro and con video!

It is really good that they let you try it out with paying customers for free. The integrations are also very useful.

Can you sell print on demand on Euclid?
Yes

Have you run test orders through your checkout using different email addresses to check that it is all working correctly?
@@EcommerceGold yes and so have they. I’m honestly assuming it’s issues with the whole site. Right now they’re investigating because I had a day that over 100 people started checkout but no follow up email was sent.
Something definitely doesn't sound right and I'm sorry to hear you are having problems but hopefully they will find out what the issue is.
@@EcommerceGold seriously but thanks 🙏
Has the issue been solved now?
I have my ECWID via WordPress. When you say ECWid is easy to use, I can’t relate to that. I am finding it impossible to build my shop!😭
Why are you finding it difficult? I've done a full tutorial for Ecwid, which might be helpful ruclips.net/video/ROlwjqr6zZw/видео.html
I think you haven't checked it enough it's pretty simple
Do you know if Ecwid plays well with Homestead? I'm redesigning a site for a friend, but will migrate him over to Google Sites if Homestead gives me any grief.
I don’t as I’ve never used homestead but if there is a way to add custom code, then it might.
Hello do you think this would work for a small T-shirt company?
Hi, yes it would work.
Great content
Thank you :)

I'm from Asia, does Ecwid support COD? ( Cash on Delivery)
Yes, they do offline payment methods
@@EcommerceGold Thank you so much. Been bothering me for weeks. And ecwid also support meta business the same time right.?
No problem, yes they integrate with Meta
Ecwid POS App stupidly does not support MS or Android....Apple only. Deal killer for us.
You can try Ecwid out for yourself, for free using this link → www.ecommerce-gold.com/ecwid (thank you if you do).
How to migrate from one platform to another if I find a better option to have my eCommerce?

you can only sell up to 5 products only, on free plan
When this video was published, it was 10 products
How is a new user supposed to get client's and people to be able to look up our products? No real help here
By marketing your store
You’re talking like a pro to the beginners 😂😂😂😂😂
until now i use ZeeDrop extension i am very happy what is the difference between Ecwid to ZeeDrop ?
