You're really making me want to go the ecwid route, however the only pod integration I see is Printful unless I know how to do API Intergrations, but homie I'm lost on all of that lol. Being part of the program provides a central place to access client stores, and pricing advantages for resellers. Love the tutorial but I’m using the app and It’s looking like it’ll get a bit complicated so I’ll login from a computer if it gets too difficult to navigate. The app is simple enough tho but this is quite technical for a newbie

Thanks for your comment :) I know Ecwid is currently working on making the mobile App a better entry point to their product for new clients, but if you want to get started creating your store it is still easier from the desktop version for now. Managing your store is truly excellent from the app (so many useful real-time features), but they are still working on making it easier to onboard as a new client from the mobile app. I hope that helps all the best

Hello Daniella, very helpful video. If I go with the Venture Plan, can I use Printful and do manually placed orders while I get everything figured out as far as connecting the 2? If a customer places an order on Ecwid, will I get notified so that I can then go into my Printful account and manually place the order and have it shipped? Thanks.

Once you have installed the app and opened your account: Ecwid Seller Control Panel > Apps > Printful > Menu bar select More > Settings > Orders > Scroll to "Order import settings" > Select "Manually confirm imported orders". Hi Daniella thank you so much for this video very helpful, I had ecwid setup a long time ago but never used it and ended up buying wix which am actually hating some of the non-exitance features and or go in circles just to get something you want. I created clothing boutique website & a spa website with wix and found out after I purchased the yearly plan that they don't have shipping you have to figure out our own shipping, and booking services is not good but I want to integrate ecwid to wix
my question is when I'm putting the weight of the item for shipping do I have to weigh the item in a box to get the exact weight or just put the item on a scale and weigh it without it being in a box like when you're ready to mail the item

In Ecwid, you can specify shipping in so many different ways it depends on your needs (flat rate, carrier calculated, fixed per item...) That being said, if you want to weigh and measure all your items to have precise shipping for carrier automations, Ecwid recommends you "specify product’s weight and dimensions" (without the packaging) to "to obtain precise carrier-calculated shipping rates for your customers." You can enter this info in the "Tax and Shipping" tab when creating your products. Upon your recommendations, I've tried Ecwid out over the last hours and I would like to signup an unlimited plan as our priority is to have our own branding for the mobile app. However, I am having issues regarding PAYMENT GATEWAYS FOR OMAN where we are located and please need a solution for that before I can recommend the unlimited plan to my boss. The app would not be useful for us without online payment modes.

Is there a payment method that is popular in your country that you want to use? What do your customers want to use? Once you have the names of the payment method(s) you want to use for your store, contact Ecwid and request custom development. I hope they can help develop what you need because using Ecwid to get a mobile eCommerce app is usually WAY cheaper than having one custom made - I talk about that in detail in this video: ruclips.net/video/zsuRgA3dCYc/видео.html Even with the yearly unlimited plan.

I will sell water filters and they need to be changed between 6 and 9 months so I want to have a system in place to offer automatic renewal or at least send a serie of emails / sms to the customers a month ago before the filters expire so they renew with a link.

Hello, newbie here can the $12.50 a month/year plan let me create different categories on the website. Like (keychain section, shirt section ext) but also have the shipping price specific/ different for each items. I’m now with Big Cartel. At the end of the customers order will show there standard shipping for any of my merch. Which is sad because the keychains are less for shipping then other things I plan to sell. Do they charge for commission? Thank you in advance

For example you may want to be sure the payment gateway you would like to use is already integrated with Ecwid (or can be integrated if needed). Thanks for your question, it’s a great one. You may have noticed that making an online store is easy, the hard part is getting traffic and sales.. It’s great you tried Google Shopping and other paid ad strategies but there may be a couple reasons why your store is not performing at the level you would like. Here are some things that could help - I will be blunt so don’t take things personally but as help:
1. I had a look at your online store and understand you sell clothing products, but who the buyer is does not seem clear. Here are a couple questions that might help you refine your digital marketing strategy:
- Who is your target market? Not men and women, that is too vast. Is it for gym who love heavy lifting? Runners who are sneaker fanatics? Gamers who like graphic design? Dads who love space? It’s not clear.
- How old are they?
- Where are they located?
- What is their level of income? Do they have expendable income?
- What are they interested in? What are they passionate about?
- How big is this target market?
- What does this target market need? Could the products meet their needs? What specific needs do they meet?
From a birds eye view your store does not seem to target a specific audience but a more broad one which is harder to target in general paid search ads using an app.
You could try to niche down and focus on a market you care about / are passionate about and can serve well
Be sure to refine this before running paid ads
2. Your store is missing a unique value proposition:
What is the #1 reason someone would buy from you and not a competitor?
And quality or free shipping should not be the answer.
This unique reason should be visible right at the top of your site.
It what makes you really stand out from anyone else.
3. You have no SEO strategy:
Since you do not already have an audience to sell to (like influencers or a brick and mortar store) you have to build your audience
Basic Ecwid’s SEO is great if you have some brand authority, strong product descriptions and people searching for brand or unique products
But for your store specifically, let's take a product for example and consider, are people really searching for “Unisex t-shirt speed”? - the answer is probably no
When I go to the product pages all I see is generic product descriptions, no information for Google or people searching for these kinds of products
The most basic thing you can do to help Google index your store is to write stronger product descriptions and keyword-search focused titles

Refining this is also extremely important before running any paid ads since the apps need clear keyword-focused product titles to understand which searches to serve
