Can you imagine a 90's style MTV Unplugged with Jeff Buckley..
I actually got a vinyl Recently with alot of lost acoustic songs!, its called "Killing time". Maybe you can get it on cd?
@@mvhax2ftw352 Where did you find that?
90'S MUSIC LIKE 80'S MUSIC HAS REAL TALENTED ARTISTS THAT SPEND 4 MONTHS TO WRITE A VERSE ...HE HAS SOMETHING FROM RADIOHEAD EARLY DAYS ruclips.net/video/K4d8KRzayNk/видео.html
ruclips.net/video/eCeiI3z7bxU/видео.html you're welcome.
A friend of his said that among the many things he wanted to achieve was doing that and i found it ironic cause he was very critical of the Mtv culture. Although it seems like the kind of contradiction he could have had as he struggled a lot with his desire to be a big name in the music bussiness but not be a part of it.
He's so underrated as a guitarist...his chord voicings are great
I think Gary Lucas deserve some credit aswell
yeah, Gary Lucas wrote the guitar part as an instrumental, and Jeff added melody and lyrics, but playing this right is really difficult, even more when singing, he was a real player
lol chord voicings! what the fuck is that?
@@groovin1957 www.fretjam.com/guitar-chord-theory-5.html I put in a whole 45 seconds to look that up. Since it didn't take me a minute, I won't invoice you, it's on me.
When I saw him live in 1994 with full band, I was literally 20 inches from his guitar. I couldn't take my eyes off his guitar playing. You're absolutely correct, he was truly a great guitarist.
I got goosebumps from 0:00 to 6:50
I've just about listened to every live performance of Jeff's and he sings each song differently every time. Thank goodness he did so many live performances, they're amazing to watch.
Reminds me of yellow ledbetter. The way PJ change how they sing it every live rendition.
Yes every live version has something special
@Patrick Burke true, but jeffs brief time with us ...for me anyway, had the intensity of a full life. Came out of no where, burned so brightly and was gone before we had time to reflect.
But we do reflect... as Eddie says...
"And wherever you've gone
And wherever we might go
It don't seem fair
Today just disappeared
Your lights reflected now
Reflected from a far
We were but stones
Your light made us stars"
@@surfinmuso37 that’s beautiful. 🙏🙏
He explained in an interview that every time he sings, he’s feeling a different emotion so that’s why he interpreted the same song differently 🥹
Jeff going flat singing a couple brief seconds makes me love him even more. He was still super-human both as a vocalist and as a guitarist, but those tiny imperfect bits make it feel just a smidge more like he was at one point an actual human and not just a great mythical creature lol
So you an gifted singer yeah … grow up

Listening to Jeff Buckley is a spiritual experience. I don't know of any other artist that is capable of blowing Minds the way he can.
Led Zeppelin
That's cause you're young and don't know any better. There used to be hundreds of brilliant artists until the modern young generation came along and destroyed music, making it about stupid retarded identity politics that all the young gullible ppl have fallen for
Chris Cornell
I have never heard anybody sing with such genuine pain. It sounds like his soul just got shattered before he sung this.
Yes, this presentation and Jack White playing/singing Jolene are the two ones I see most feeling ever. I recommend to you, really good too!!
@@Francks_ Jack White is a skilless quack.

Jeff Buckley will forever be the only artist that gives me crazy goosebumps and cries of agony for the fact that he will never return.
artistic artist so tuned all in
Indeed
would die to see him live 💔
"Grace" album just turned 25, but is still more mature than a lot of us.
How can a man in his first - and only one - album create a masterpiece and possibly one of the best albums ever?
Franco - I say it’s fate
Damn. It’s just pure soul of music. He feels it. RIP dear Jeff.
he didnt feel shit
pam carpenter girl please shut the hell up
@@uhhuhh196 IM entitled to my own opinion.
@@groovin1957 Why do you hate Jeff? He isn’t that famous, so how did you find him?
@@groovin1957 What is your malfunction? Seek help.
If this doesn't make you feel something, then I don't know what to do for you.
YES!!! That's exactly what I think. It's so crazy, idk, we feel bad, but good, uncomfortable, but relaxed, anxious, but quiet. It's a feeling mix, that is ethereal, mystical, from God and Devil
Franco Dallago Very well said👍
If i had to explain what a Dream is , i would describe it with this song
Why should there even be a dislike button for this video?
JEFF IS PURE GOLD.
Because it's not cool to tell people what to like or dislike.
precious precious silver and gold
His vocals are crazy!!! His vibrato is so good!! He was so talented.
Jeff was really something else. You can feel the pain in his voice and soul
Greatest singer. Greatest song. Greatest performance.
sí, sí y sí
If he was alive today we would google Jeff Buckley youth to remember what he looked like in his youth. Just a thought. Grace is among the desert island albums.
Kanwar Anand 😂 lol
It gives me a good feeling, knowing there's still unreleased material of Jeff's performances. I know I'll be amazed in some new ways.
Same. So many gems yet to be released for us to enjoy.
Yeah, such as all zeppelin stuff that are "released" or found and shared, every time they are new masterpieces.
This is just a dude and a guitar. This is nuts.
yes he was nuts. obviously his style was stupid.
pam carpenter stupidly mind blowing
@@groovin1957 I’ve seen you reply trash on 3 different comments... why are you here if you think he’s stupid?

You are rrally missed Jeff..we love you! From Philippines
My heart wonders: all the music we could have received from Jeff!
Jeff was lightning in a bottle.
That voice is surreal, so angelical 😵😵💜💜💜
He's giving his life..
OH MY GOSH!!!!!! Magical improvisation in intro! 2:58 this guitar sligh chords... wow! It's a hot playing!
His voice is phantasmagoric.
I would describe our music as phantasmagorical
Beautiful soul, so incredibly missed.
What a gift he had.
Underrated and forgotten. Rest In Holy Peace!
well , i just discovered him last night and cant stop playing him
It’s about time that this get released. Thank you. Please keep them coming, and don’t stop with this show. There are several gigs and promos/interviews out there that were professionally recorded (some of which Sony doesn’t own exclusive rights to, however), as well as Merri Cyr’s 90 hours of footage.
I spoke with Ben Challis (head of the Glastonbury festival) and he said that Jeff’s Estate hasn’t even reached out to him about the prospect of acquiring visual licensing for Jeff’s set. There’s a candidate for a future release of some sort; not to mention Trinity Church in Toronto, among many other things.
@Now Then Chris Cornell was never the head of his Estate; Jeff’s mother has been since Jeff died.
@@MojoPin1983 dyk why he drowned?? :/ was he an alcoholic by any chance ?

The Greatest of All Time!

Me too. 😃
We love you Buckley...forever missed...never forget this incredibly talented man...❤❤🎵🎶🎸
One of the greatest singer/songwriter/guitarists ever. Jeff's songs are a roller coaster ride of emotions stirring the highs and lows of happiness, sadness, anger, disappointment, love, lust, longing, hope.
Sometimes I'm convinced his voice was from another dimension.
Been a Buckley fan for years. A project caused me to revisit his catalog. Just an amazing player/singer. Way ahead of his time. Just a tragic loss
Jeff at his prime. Before the pressure. He was pleased with this show.

Missing you from Australia... 💕
We love you Jeff forever and always ❤️
What a beautiful
Oh Jeff, you are so badly missed.
His Voice is fabulous! Greatest !
The legacy is stronger!
That Voice and vibrato is everything!

FRICTIONLESS VOICE 😍😍
Stunning.
Transcendent Genius...
An Orphic figure, or perhaps Orpheus reborn.
Perished of his own beauty that was too much for this world.

Please drop Last Goodbye. This was the first video when I saw Jeff, on Gleneagles, Last Goodbye.

Music was theatre to Jeff. The way that he melded his loves for us ♡
The best thing in 90's
I’d like to see an artist be able to do this today. Heard many covers from artists and they can’t hold a candle to Jeff. Seeing how his breakthrough album came out in 94, he graced us with so many great live performances in 3 years, no pun intended. Thank you Jeff. The good die young.
Jeff, you Angel! ❤️ Wherever you are, thanks a lot.
Gone but never forgotten
Thank you jeff ❤️
Pure expression of emotion by way of his honed skills and innate talent. 🙌🏼✨ Anyone who’s a singer should study his example of what it actually means to be a real singer....and it’s not about being technically perfect, but to be able to relay the emotional nature of music and telling a story we all can relate to as human beings. Real expression through song is very much about psychology and the ability to act as an instrument for expressing the deeper sides of humanity, life experience and connection. Jeff was excellent at relaying the human condition through sound. Energy in motion - always alive and changing. A real force of nature. Thank you Jeff for having the guts to be yourself and to share with the rest of us. ❤️
Yes so true. His was a beautiful combination of all the elements that makes a great singer. I don't know if I knew what a real singer is until I heard him back in the 90s. I love the depth he takes you to. He's a genius that was born for it for want of a better way of expressing it. I can't adequately express my gratitude for Jeff Buckley and Tim Buckley. I never tire of the extreme beauty of their whole musical delivery it comes from a divine place. God given talent as it's best and truest comes close. God walks in the room when they sing and play. That'll do. Love it craaazy!!!
So pure....
I would love to see Sam fender cover some of these amazing songs. Jeff Buckley will forever be the greatest Male vocal of all time in my eyes
Yes but did you ever listen to his Dad Tim Buckley I still have the vynal haunting like Jeff incredible

Oh my god
Keep coming back to this mindblowing performance! No talent like this nowadays.
beautiful... brilliant man.. I'm a songwriter, without that voice.. but I can't write a song like that.. Especially at that age.. He was a legend.
Oh that f***ing long note at the end. Yes, I'm waiting in the fire. And I've forgotten that it's burning me
Not from this planet….unbelievable the talent and intensity…difficult to see someone like him again…
"Grace" is my favourite Jeff Buckley's songs! So, every Live version of it, is a Treasure! So Great!
Masterpiece... I miss You Jeff.. You are an angel in this world.
Beautiful, thanks ❤
so beautiful
Badly missed, he's one of my references; use to listen to him very often, feeling both huge pleasure and sadness. Would have better known through the years his own creative world, feelings and thoughts in music; think he'd have ever maintained freshness and sincerity not being a simple product of music industry but a deep, creative genius.
Non era facile vivere con quella voce, vero Jeff... Un universo roboante su di una minuscola sfera, chissà dove arrivavi quando la voce partiva e l'anima esplodeva, attraverso il tuo corpo, nello spazio tuo intorno...
Out of this world, he was simply out of this world...
