I had first heard of the music of Jeff Buckley in hushed, reverent tones sometime back in the late 1990s. Just shortly after, my actual first exposure to his music occurred while I was giving a co-worker of mine a neck and back massage, something I did on the side in those days. On one day in particular, while her iTunes program ran in the background at a very low volume, a song suddenly captured my awareness. The program displayed an identifying line that read, "Jeff Buckley...Grace". Even at this very low volume, it sounded absolutely sublime to me. I ran out and obtained a CD of the full album shortly thereafter. I still consider it a treasured masterpiece to this day.
If time travel ever exists in my life time, definitely gonna have to see Jeff Buckley. 🔥🔥
Live in Chicago was absolutely NEXT LEVEL.
that bass was going crazy, perfect performance from the whole band and jeff
am I crazy or was the mix of those instruments + the voice the best sounding thing I've ever heard
I can't find the serenity in any other songs that i find in his songs its like his voice has a healing effect that i can't explain. As if his voice and soul were too much for this world .Rest in peace 😢
The standard in rock vocals for range and emotion. He put all his energy into signing each note with conviction.
One of the best voices EVER!
Damn, this song is so emotional (plus Jeff's untimely passing), it gives me goosebumps every time. I cannot find another performer like him. God bless your soul.
What a voice... I really really wish I could have seen this man live. I really wish he could've lived longer.
His smile in the thumbnail 💖 perfect
Jeff burned for us..... he "waited in the fire" for as long as he could, then had to go. We are so fortunate for the time he gave.
"
Jeff teaches us it's never about the notes or pitch or 100 other singing parameters..it's all but your raw passion n putting your everything out there in the moment. It's those imperfections that make it all the more marvelous!
While being in key baby 😉
Cos that boy was lol
@@symphonyinkart mostly yes ,but he's pitchy at times on stage..but then who isn't 😉
@@raghavsehgal25 every artist will have a moment. In any form. Of anything. That’s human nature.
If the moments between are sublime, well.. .. enough said.
As we say.. only human is what we are.
U will find trained ppl who solely focus on the perfection in that manner. But never truly impact and reach the stratosphere.
@@symphonyinkart Exactly. That's what I said. It's never about your training or pitch perfect vocals ,but putting your heart n soul into the song.
i heard Jeff by accident ... i was working late and I searched "Blues".. after 3 hours, this song came out.... i'm a fan now, thanks youtube
forever Jeff, forever Grace...
This is unimaginably divine, free, spacious singing. What an artist!!
He is still alive in my heart
The clean fluttery chords under that distorted riff in the intro to me is just brilliant! His voice and songwriting just amazes me on many different levels!!!!!!!!!!!!
the bass at 3:20 just scratches the itch in my brain in such a subtle way
I read in Dave Lorys book this was one of the few shows Jeff was drunk…and still gave my personal favorite performance. Magical
This guy was in a different realm than anybody else. So much soul and feel. What a blessing.
what's amazing about jeff is that all of his live concerts are different- he always gives a different vibe in every performance and i personally have seen that only with him
this!! he never performed a song the same way twice
The underrated, the unsung, the legendary Jeff Buckley in top form.
Hey you might like a band called The Doublejumps if you like Jeff Buckley
Probably the best performance ever.
Jesus. This is still so powerful. Takes a couple of minutes for Jeff to put his heart right in to it, but fuck me, when he does ....
This guy and Mercury, best male singers ever
So much promise left unfulfilled by his untimely passing, but Grace is a masterpiece legacy that resonates til this day.
You are my hero, buddy, even when you are no longer here to show us how much love you can create and share.
Have seen Jeff at the Bataclan, Paris... Last angel I ever saw...
What a performance by everyone! His band was amazing!
That smile
really don't know if is a god or something superio or so... but I guess we are all blessed in some way when we can hear such artists.... something good is falling on us all when such music can live.... til the end of times......
Perfectly stated
Jeff is so gifted, such a beautiful singer. For me, he sounds a lot like his Father. Rip in peace. This song has so much emotion. Thanks for the upload.
I'm 15 and I was so into pop music but once I discovered Jeff... I can never look at it the same. His soul and music is so beautiful and so captivating I find myself in a trance when I listen to his music! Wish I had the chance to experience it live.
+Caleb I remember listening to his album when i was young and have only now just rediscovered it, best thing that has ever happened, although i always get sad watching him perform but he's in a better place now yet will always be loved
There is a whole world of good music like this my friend.
+Caleb this is so relatable, his music has helped me see life from a different perspective, he'll forever live on in our hearts! Wly jeff ♥️
Welcome to club bro
Isn't it a little bit irrelevant that you're 15 though?
That voice. Holy … an angel.
I'm not afraid to go, is it all because of you? I'm not afraid to go, but it goes so slow. Wait in the fire...wait in the fire... Thank you for everything Jeff. I miss you.
snare sound is sick
