Mark, I think this is the first time I've heard anyone doing equipment reviews talk about the importance and impact of looks and gut feeling as it relates to results. It seems that everyone wants to tell us what we should play based on data alone, so thank you for being honest about how simply liking a club can also add to the outcome!
8:38 Finally! Someone relevant says it. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to play something new, shiny, and "different." Can we finally stop justifying new clubs with turbostratic jail break speed foam slots or whatever flavor it is and just enjoy the new shiny clubs for what they are?
I’ve owned every AP2 in the last 2 years and picked these up yesterday. They feel softer to me personally. I love the fact that the blade feel is back. Completely dead feeling in the 718. The best way I can explain it is when you button one you feel the whole ball shape through your hands and the sound changes in the outer perimeter areas of the face. Exactly what you want from an iron. Put the CPX grips on too and what a change that was. Insane.
Finally replaced my 714 cb's with s300's that have been amazing for 5 years for the t100 with x100's today. These irons are so forgiving (for someone that is used to play a players iron) and the numbers they produce are insane. my avg was 91mph clubhead speed, 132 mph ball speed and 6400 spin with 182 yds carry with a 7 iron.
Reminds me of Fawlty Towers!! ( Which coincidentally was set in Torquay )!! '' Don't mention the War ''...…...Or in this case....'' Don't mention the AP '' :-)
I always love new club reviews... it's kind of like eye candy. Can't wait to see Mark with the new clubs! Change just to change is indeed sometimes just enough... I feel ya bruh!!!
T100's are the best irons I've ever hit for feel and dispersion. Quite decent forgiveness too, cant wait ti pick mines up with the ts2 hybrids on the 30th
Totally agree. Sometimes you just need to freshen up the bag and that in and of itself is motivation to get out and play. Retooled my bag this year with Srixon Z 785's and everything else Titleist and it's got me out on the course at least 4-5 times a week whether it's playing or practicing at the range. Scoring better than ever. Some of it's the clubs as my previous set was almost 20 years old. This is also the first set of clubs I've ever had custom fit. But the rest of it is that the clubs look and feel so good that all I want to do is practice and play and that's the real reason for the improvement. Broke par for my first time this year! T100's look great btw.
I like this club. I have been a AP2 fan for years. I am a bit frustrated with this because I couldn’t blend it easily with the T200 or T300. Good looking but I like blended sets.
Thought the same thing. 200-300 lofts are ramped up so much you would almost have to have two of the same iron in different sets wherever your combo set switches over.
They adjust the lofts for blended sets in the 718 line. The book the rep uses has a whole page that's just a chart with the loft changes for combining any of the AP1,2,3 TMB and hybrids in a set.
Titleist have answered my prayers I am currently using 716 ap2's and have started to get a little put off by the off set and the top line i was off 16 when i got the ap2 now down to 8.5 and feel like a more player based look will suite my eye more. Great review. Any idea on what the rrp will be on these?
I'll be getting these (5 iron to 9 iron), some TS3 hybrids (25 and 21 degrees), and some Vokeys (48, 52, 56 and 60 SM8s) over the winter for sure. I cant wait to play that set next spring!
Nah...T100 far superior to AP2. Got rid of that hideous offset and a thinner top line. Much more appealing as a players iron. Haven't seen the other two yet but nothing i'd game anyway.
@@uwrossl T100 definitely more of a player look so I'd agree with you if I was a better golfer, I just think particularly looking down in the bag these have missed the mark
@@Adam-tm7qh I think the T100 is the only one that can sort of compete looks wise to the older generation. I guess that's the problem with making really good clubs. They really hit the mark with the 718 line so once they did that they essentially had to do it again.
I will second that always been a cally or taylormade guy until this year. Purely down to price i hit the wilson v6 simply outstanding but i wasn't good enough to game them. Then when the c300 forged came out they went in my bag immediately. Never hit a better iron at the price point blown away with my first wilson purchase
This new line looks so much better than the AP line. I will try to go to the pro shop and hit them. I would love to see how they match up to my current set and if my gapping would be better
looking to replace my titleist 762 set... will check if there's a difference on a GCQuad ... am a little skeptical they'll be much difference to be honest.
Titleist Legal-stuff preventing you from saying AP2 ;-) ?? Well im a huge Titleist fan and fan of Jordan too, if I only had the money my old 714 AP2s could be up for a change, and the looks of the T100 is just off the charts IMO, the CBs aswell tbh, but im allso looking forward to seeing what they offer in the long irons/driving/irons atm im using the AP2 4-Iron on/off and a old 2nd hand 712 TMB 2 iron of the tee aswell... Man I wish I was able to afford a full bag of new-fitted Titleist equipment at some point, their looks is 2nd to none
I've got mp 18 sc and i dont like the fact the T100 look thinner at adress but probebly more forgiving' mine seem to have a thicker top line the more i play' i will deffo give these a try.
Been waiting for these to launch - will be booking my fitting session shortly and am really interested to see your reviews on the rest of the range - so excited to know which of the clubs will suit my game - currently playing AP1s and I think I've outgrown them as a player so really interested to see which of the new range are right for me! Great review by the two of you as always - cheers!
I'm gaming 714 ap2 so been looking forward to these. Not disappointed from what I've seen. But I'm waiting to test them against the new mizuno mp range first!
Hi mark and dan great review there look i love my ap2 718 but these look to have a touch more ball speed so y not theyll be in the bag illd say the natural lofts are great so much more consistent in hitting pin high
Same idea as my cobra forged tour. Love the help but with little offset. Maybe someone should make a game improvement iron type head with no offset for maximum help without it going left.
I prefer the looks of mp20 and classic CB and MB from titleist. The backside of t100 just looks overengineered. Kind of dissapointed by the design which rarly happens with titleist.
Lots of Mizuno love it the comments section. Well deserved. Still think the Wilson V6's felt softer than the Mizunos (and AP2's for that matter). Also, the tech on the T100's reads a lot like the V6's.
Hi Mark, nice review! When would you recommend players to start looking at new irons? I’ve had my Mizuno JPX900 Hot Metal since I began playing a few years ago. Now my handicap is down to 18, would it be time to start thinking about replacing my irons with something else? I feel like my irons goes miles but have a hard time getting them to stop on the green.
Mark... Can you PLEASE do a video where you test all of the current Titleist irons, but all are bent to the exact same loft?? I suspect you won't see much of a difference in the numbers but there is only one way to tell and that is to test the theory!
Currently a 714 AP2 player but in the market for new irons any idea on price as all reviews seem to be forgetting this for some reason🤔 Prices have been getting ridiculous over recent years would like to stay with titleist but won’t be held ransom on price and obviously only if they perform better than other models when getting fitted, looking forward to the off season!
Strange for me, I have the 718s AP2, and these are basically them. I am sort of pleased they look the same as spent mega money on my fitting at Titleist only 4 months ago!! .
Reading between the lines (in my head of course)...... T100, AP2, CB, MB are all about the same performance wise so it comes down to looks and feel and play the "most forgiving" option that you can stand to look at and with the best feel. So T100 won for you or will you also give the MB or CB a try in a blended or full set?
Hi Mark - do you know if this is the Titleist iron line up for the foreseeable or will AP's be out in 2020? Always played Titleist but mid season launch of TS1/4 make me wary they are moving away from the traditional bi-annual iron/wood launch pattern.
I currently game a set of TM RocketBladez Tour, and I know you used to play these when they first came out. Are there any similarities between these two clubs and are there any differences? Fore example sound, feel, flight, forgiveness etc... Thanks
It’s a shame I game the older Ap2/1 irons and with TS drivers losing ground on Ping, TM , Callaway on tour success, this new range look a bit chunky power bats.

I don’t think they want you saying “AP” anymore. Haha. I was hitting these with a titleist rep and kept saying how they remind me of my AP2 irons and I could tell they didn’t want me saying that. I really liked them though.
It is an AP2... clearly. t-100 = ap2, t-200 = ap3, t-300 = ap1. They still make a CB so I am not sure why you keep referring to that... anywhoo Titleist is bringing them to our club on the 10th so I will try them out for myself.

Is the Apex Pro it's nearest competitor? If so..what do you think chaps?
I think they are yes because these and the Apex pro are no match for the mizunos 👍
My thought exactly Martin. Callaway Apex Pro dots would be a great compare video #askdan

AP2! AP2, just say it! IT LOOKS LIKE A P 2 ! What's wrong with that!
Darren Oke they’re told not to. I bet it’s in the literature Titleist give them...!! Probably written in his contract!

Stunning absolutely stunning
How much weight have you lost Mark? The new irons do look nice.

Nice but they aren't mizunos... And to me "higher pitched" (in my mind) translates into not as soft feeling.
