I hit these today and am Actually thinking of bagging them. Currently playing Yonex Ezone MB. These give a much more forgiving hit without the game improvement high and left problems
Rick, fantastic reviews on all the 718's. Well done. As a "yank" my favorite of all your vids is when you say the word "chunky"! Love the accent. Keep up the great work.
I'm definitely looking into trying these irons out. I've been striking my irons well recently, but I struggle to get any height on them at all. These look great.
It makes me wonder why there aren't more 'distance' irons that maintain a sleek, clean design like these do. Much nicer to look at than the ugly hunks of metal that most game improvement irons are. Looking forward to the 2 iron video as T-MB is probably the best looking driving iron on the market.
Nick Kentros please, no more Rob Potter reviews. It's brutal, redundant, and biased. Greg drinking game though to watch with your buddies and take a drink every time he says Callaway.
I game the 712 AP2's n luv them... bent them 2 degrees strong for a little help on distance but they fly high as do all Titliest n land soft.. I see the longer irons useful in this set like the 2 iron for sure ...
This T-Mb series already had 3 generation from 714 to 718. The 714 only sale in Japan market, 716 sale hold set in Japan, only No 3 and 4 iron sale as utility iron in other market
I've always been a Titleist guy, so I had the 716 AP2. I didn't see much of an improvement or discernible difference in the 718 AP2 but when I jumped into the AP3 ... wow, they were amazing! Not much of difference in the top line ... they sit almost the same as the AP2. I know the lofts are jacked a bit from the 716's, but I'm about a club & half longer with the AP3. The 4-iron is such a surprisingly easy club to hit & it just launches for me with the AMT white shaft. I'm considering a 3-iron now. Great videos Rick! Keep'em coming. I watch them all the time.
Love my TMB 4i in my current set and have considered a 2i rather than a Hybrid. Go from that in CB. I like the prior versions look on this one though AP1,2,3 all look great and cb/mb basically same.
It looks like a blade, has versatility of a blade, has closer lofts to AP2's for higher spin but slightly stronger, has hollow head for forgiveness, and launches high for steeper descent angles and stopping power. Honestly the perfect iron.
James Campenella +7-8 Weekend everyday golfer if you play once a month and shoot around 10 then you can play these and learn to score better and be highly satisfied
Loft jacking needs to quit and clubs with true lofts need to come back these are lovely!! Like these are so nice and so high exactly what you need I love it
Have you filmed the 2-iron T-MB specific review? Any estimate publishing time? Am considering a 2-iron T-MB driving iron and would love to hear your thoughts and see some of the data (height, ball speed, carry) as well as feel/sound/looks. Thanks for all of your hard work and great videos. Well done!
That "black glass look" that Rick refers to fades quickly with use. These are the best feeling irons I've ever played in over 50 years of golf BUT I need, and am using, something more forgiving.
A version of these without the black bit (which fades and scratches away over time) would he mega and I think very popular because it will have the appearance of a blade just a bit chunkier. I suppose they haven't done it yet because it will resemble the popular p790 from taylormade. A minimalist design like they've done their 620 mb blades this time would be a1.
It's funny, because every video I've seen when Rick is testing the clubs; right before he hits the ball you can hear him breath/take a breath and it's every shot.
Why haven’t you tested the new Titleist T series irons against the TMB 716/718 irons? They’re hollow with tungsten on the heel/toe as the T series. Curious to see just how much of an improvement the T series really is & which of the sets best matches the TMBs.
Hey Rick, Any chance you could you do a video comparing the 718TMB to the Taylormade P790, as they seem similar clubs, yet I can't see any video comparison on line anywhere? Thanks
I enjoy your videos. They help me get through my days at work. I would like to know where can I buy a set of Titleist 718 T Mb in lefty in the US. It’s a hard find
Rick, I appreciate this video posted here as it is to show how you feel it without bios from others. Hope you don't mind some of comments full of shit.
These trajectories are why "players" lofts are not suitable with these kind of modern club designs, even ap2. Traditional lofts should never go on any clubs other than blades in my opinion.
Agree, purchase them at a discount when a new set comes out. Titleist rarely change iron models, just update with small tweaks. This makes it easier IMO to buy the previous model as you aren't tempted by vastly different looks or 'groundbreaking tech' of the latest model.
Especially for a non forged club as well. People would be amazed at how few iron shots they hit throughout the course of a round. Many times you'll hit Driver more times than all your iron shots combined. I didn't believe that until I started looking more closely at my rounds with my game golf system. I may start investing in tungsten though because apparently it is very expensive 😂.
Wish they would put out a TMB 1 Iron. Sad that all the big companies have turned their backs on players like me who can hit them. I have driven very well with my TMB 2 over the last couple of years and would buy a few 1 Irons.
WOW , Almost bought a set of these last year off eBay from Japan , sure glad I shattered my right wrist and didn't play golf and not buy these as I hit the ball high already and seeing this interview of them changed my mind on them . All the Low handicappers on all the Golf Forums raved about how great they were and , come to find out they are designed for higher HC players ! Just because they were Japan only clubs everyone said they were the elite Titleist irons . Sure glad for all these reviews on You Tube to help players find the irons that may help them play better and waste their hard earned dollars ! Thanks Rick !
Seems to me that companies can get away with strong lofts, as they can engineer clubs with higher MOI to increase the descent angle, and getting that ball higher in the air. Lower spin rates would be more forgiving to higher handicappers, and the increased descent angle would make up for some of the lost stopping power.
Scott Cui I'm sure I'm not the only one with this problem but I cannot control a hybrid I can't get the ball to have a lower flight or lunch any higher. That's the reason why I would like to get a driving iron. Iron for me have always be easier to control.
I don't understand. You hit a driver lower and lose 20-30 yds and you act like it's the end of the world, bash the brand and look like you want to throw the club in the garbage. But you hit an iron low, lose 10 yds. And act like it's no big deal.

Rick Shiels Golf can you give us an idea of the handicap range these clubs are aimed at?
Ever think it might be for TUNGSTEN Muscle Back? ❤
I hit these today and am
Actually thinking of bagging them. Currently playing Yonex Ezone MB. These give a much more forgiving hit without the game improvement high and left problems
I've got the 716 T-MB in a 3 iron. It's brilliant and like you mentioned in the video I prefer it to using a hybrid.
Rick, fantastic reviews on all the 718's. Well done. As a "yank" my favorite of all your vids is when you say the word "chunky"! Love the accent. Keep up the great work.
M Hay "Chunkaay" :)
choonkeh
M Hay he's northern. Sounds weird to us midlanders.
Chun-keh
I'm definitely looking into trying these irons out. I've been striking my irons well recently, but I struggle to get any height on them at all. These look great.
The only clubs that spin 7000 for a 7 irons etc are traditionally lofted clubs...
Seems to do what it's supposed to not overly jacked lofts either
It makes me wonder why there aren't more 'distance' irons that maintain a sleek, clean design like these do. Much nicer to look at than the ugly hunks of metal that most game improvement irons are. Looking forward to the 2 iron video as T-MB is probably the best looking driving iron on the market.
Traded my 712 MB's for these as father time was creaping up . My game has maintained its level without making a big change . Pretty Awesome !
You should do a head to head with the TM P-790s and these T-MBs and maybe get Rob Potter to try them too
Nick Kentros I love your hair
Nick Kentros please, no more Rob Potter reviews. It's brutal, redundant, and biased. Greg drinking game though to watch with your buddies and take a drink every time he says Callaway.
Jeremy Holt I just like seeing someone with a swing speed closer to mine review them too
I game the 712 AP2's n luv them... bent them 2 degrees strong for a little help on distance but they fly high as do all Titliest n land soft.. I see the longer irons useful in this set like the 2 iron for sure ...

Love these .. so high on the long irons. I've got the T-MB 4 iron to compliment the AP3 5 - PW and couldn't be happier
Great stuff Chris. What irons did you have before? Notice a big improvement?
I've always been a Titleist guy, so I had the 716 AP2. I didn't see much of an improvement or discernible difference in the 718 AP2 but when I jumped into the AP3 ... wow, they were amazing! Still hoping to see the 2 iron review Rick! Also, when will the Arccos review be released?

Rick, what handicap do you think these would be tailored to? Great review
James Campenella +7-8 Weekend everyday golfer if you play once a month and shoot around 10 then you can play these and learn to score better and be highly satisfied
Loft jacking needs to quit and clubs with true lofts need to come back these are lovely!! Like these are so nice and so high exactly what you need I love it
I love my TMB 4 iron. I couldn't hit my Ping G20 4 hybrid.

Great looking club my favorite. a combo set with regular mb would be nice

I’ve got the 3 iron and find it really nice . Swithering on getting more of them on that basis
I'm the same ,I loved my 3 ,and just pulled the trigger on a set yesterday😊
It's funny, because every video I've seen when Rick is testing the clubs; right before he hits the ball you can hear him breath/take a breath and it's every shot.
Can you do a P-790 TMB comparison. Interested to know how different they feel and sound. Tough decisions for my bag coming up...
Don't forget the Mizuno MP-18 Fli-Hi
Have a good friend who replaced his 3 &5 Woods with the 2&3 irons from this set. He hits them longer and straighter than his woods
Would like to try these, need some more distance. Looks like these give about 10 yards per club over blades.
Love these clubs. Would put them in my bag in a heartbeat. Hybrids? Who needs hybrids when you have these?
I can't hit my 2/3-3/4 hybrids.. got to look into these irons.
Got the full set of the 716's and love them
. . . your meat balls are ready.

WHERE IS THAT 2 IRON REVIEW SHIELSEY
I have been using the 2-iron utility club from this set for awhile now. Ball seems to really spring off the face.
Is there much in it between these and the T-MB's? Seems like they are quite similar apart from the lofts.
I enjoy your videos. They help me get through my days at work. I would like to know where can I buy a set of Titleist 718 T Mb in lefty in the US. It’s a hard find
There’s a couple on eBay, otherwise, I don’t know. I understand the struggle, it’s absolutely brutal to find a lot of lefty clubs
What shaft are you using in the demo set?
Do you think the ap3 are better than tmb or ap3 are better
Rick, high handicap for me, TMB vs. AP1’s? Recco?
I have this club in 3 iron and it is not that forgiving. Defo go ap1’s
Might have to buy these they look amazing
I love the 2 & 3 T-MB’s
Which do you prefer the TM Ping or Titleist
Rick, I appreciate this video posted here as it is to show how you feel it without bios from others. Hope you don't mind some of comments full of shit.
I think the T-MBs would look better without the black part, more like the original MB. Would love to have it in as a 1-iron as well.
how long until titelist has their own proprietary foam material that they will put into these and make them feel just as good as the 790s?
Half off at golf town today , 24 hours
any chance we can see a multi head to head match up with the I500, TMB, P790
Do you have the X100 on this too?
These trajectories are why "players" lofts are not suitable with these kind of modern club designs, even ap2. Traditional lofts should never go on any clubs other than blades in my opinion.
I was dead set on these! Then Titleist released the price. $280 per club! Come on Titleist are you serious!?
they are. prices are insane, always buy used and then adjust to your specs.
Agree, purchase them at a discount when a new set comes out. Titleist rarely change iron models, just update with small tweaks. This makes it easier IMO to buy the previous model as you aren't tempted by vastly different looks or 'groundbreaking tech' of the latest model.

Jacob Justice Yep, you make a great point - way too much for ANY iron.
got to pay these youtubers and tour pros ;)
Thanks for the review
Wish they would put out a TMB 1 Iron. Sad that all the big companies have turned their backs on players like me who can hit them. I have driven very well with my TMB 2 over the last couple of years and would buy a few 1 Irons.
Haha humble brag? A modern 2 iron is basically a traditional 1 iron
Great video as always! You need to start working on you swing again, going back to your drawey shots again :)
Rick would u replace the wilson 4 with this 4 iron
WOW , Almost bought a set of these last year off eBay from Japan , sure glad I shattered my right wrist and didn't play golf and not buy these as I hit the ball high already and seeing this interview of them changed my mind on them . instead of these you should take the clubs out on the course and play a couple holes with them... because course play and this is much much different
Is it really a muscleback if it is hollow? And I think the T stands for tungsten.
Rick need to as a question for advice, what is the best way to contact you?
I guess I need to make a choice between these and the P-790's, with an eye on the G400's. LOL I'm confused!!!!!!
P790s are forged tho no?
Martin Lindgren
Not at all they have foam inside.......lol
John Paxinos mp-18. No question
allo cromeau they have foam inside but they are forged
Hopefully the 2iron review is coming soon?

If anything theses look better than the regular MB irons!
I love my Mizuno T zoids though
I thought T was for Tungsten
They ad full sets available 2 years ago
Is it as high as a hybrid?
Because i have got hybrids, but they go too high...
Curious how that gorgeous shiny black material will wear.
I can see playing these in 2, 3, and 4 iron and then using either the AP2 or the CB for the rest of the set.
price is ridiculous but they look amazing
Pretty sure T is for Tungsten not technical
its for "Tech"
It's for tosser
I thought the T was for Tungsten
Beautiful clubs
They are gorgeous
When r ur course vlogs coming out with dude perfect?
Seems to me that companies can get away with strong lofts, as they can engineer clubs with higher MOI to increase the descent angle, and getting that ball higher in the air. Lower spin rates would be more forgiving to higher handicappers, and the increased descent angle would make up for some of the lost stopping power.
We really need to work on your intro. The "here" said twice too closely together bothers me. LOL
Why not just buy a hybrid then, same flight, similar spin numbers and even more forgiving.
Scott Cui I'm sure I'm not the only one with this problem but I cannot control a hybrid I can't get the ball to have a lower flight or lunch any higher. That's the reason why I would like to get a driving iron. Iron for me have always be easier to control.
Even these have a cranked loft, 33* and 6k revs is a 6 iron of anyone's money.
P990 vs T-MB please
Looks very modern
His 7i was going higher than the PW. Whaaaaa??
Zachary Milos all your clubs get to the same peak height believe it or not...knly if you hit the right and with the same technique
Conrad Benford no they don't. No matter how well you hit it, a 2 iron will *never* go as high as a 7 iron.
😓little disappointed with the spin... especially the pw.
Says £250 per iron for the TB ££££££
I don't understand. You hit a driver lower and lose 20-30 yds and you act like it's the end of the world, bash the brand and look like you want to throw the club in the garbage. But you hit an iron low, lose 10 yds. And act like it's no big deal.
Jeremy Holt if he lost 10 yards, and not 30 yards... Its literally one third as bad. So....
Gotta get those shots straight Rick!
That sound....
Absolutely LOVE the look of these irons, but given the mediocre performance and the outrageous price? Hard pass.
It's not that long for the loft.
They look delicious
To expensive for golf clubs. They won't sell out I guarantee that. Lol
Aj Nawabi a year later and these are hard to find and still expensive
NG.
Personally, I find them ugly. I have several sets of titleist mb irons. They are quality.
finally
Sorry Rick getting bored of Titleist. You gotta deal gojng on?
Sixth Sense 60 he reviews the clubs that are new. Titleist just released all of these irons
